Arusha is a city in East Africa's Tanzania, located at the base of volcanic Mt. Meru. It's a gateway to safari destinations and Africa's highest peak, 5,895m Mt. Kilimanjaro, lying some 100 kilometers northeast. To the west lies Serengeti National Park, home to wildlife including lions, rhinoceros, giraffes, and leopards.

I think the tour guide was confused about cities, municipals and towns. Tanzania mainland for now has 5 cities: Tanga, Mbeya, Arusha, Dodoma, Mwanza and Dar es Salaam. Iringa, Morogoro and Moshi not yet proved cities. Others are municipals and towns
He completely misled them.

Wow!! it's been a while since I was here so I was doing catch up from part 6 until now...I sat through the whole episodes...it was epic...Rwanda is a beautiful country...kinda felt like you guys had teleported to the states..now that you were driving on the right... can't imagine how tired and fatigued you guys are especially the ones behind the wheel..you deserve some much needed rest. Still what an experience starting from Mombasa to sirare, Mwanza and all the subsequent towns ..this last episode felt a little bittersweet for me..a sad kinda nostalgia engulfed me the kinda you get when you back home from an epic voyage and you know you'll miss the whole experience.. thank you so much for taking us with you.. can't wait for the next great adventure.

What a 2-week you guys have had..Hotels in Tanazania are very affordable
Manyara, Tarangire national parks and NgoroNgoro Cretor are the ones near Arusha Plus Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro are near too thats makes Arusha tourist city. Serengeti is a bit Far from Arusha. Serengeri is in Mara near Mwanza

There is Serengeti which is a bit far from Arusha. The closest attractions include Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire and Arusha Park

How do you manage an internet connection when in other countries? That's my biggest worry. Do you use roaming? Or do you purchase a sim card at every border? Also how is the internet in Arusha?
Data roaming is very expensive, so most if the time we buy simcards for everything country we visit.

I left the copy at the border because it would be limiting for me to leave the original copy in one border

He made a mistake. In TZ, we have seven cities: Arusha, Dar Es Salaam, Dodoma, Mbeya, Mwanza, Tanga and Zanzibar.
Dar is roughly twice as large as Mwanza (population wise); and Mwanza is roughly twice as large as each of the remaining cities.
That is not mount Kilimanjaro my sister,that's mount Meru,You will afford to see mount Kilimanjaro very close when you reach Moshi town on your way to Taveta via Holili border.

Liv how does Arusha compare to our Nakuru, Kisumu or Eldoret?
I would say it's more similar to Nakuru than the other towns coz it's surrounded by lakes, mountain ranges and National parks.
Nakuru, Kisumu or Eldoret are slightly above Arusha by the fact that we have more amenities that attract the masses(Malls, Lakes,Universities). ON the contrary, Arusha is less congested and what I liked most was the discipline on roads: well market roads and drivers obey traffic lights. Actually since Zanzibar is part of TZ, we actually have seven rather than six cities. Zanzibar is the name of the "country" but also of the city.

@@LIVKENYA you shouldn't take street names he mentioned, number of NPs in Arusha is also not true only national, building names like that Nyerere bla bla actually its Arusha International Conference Center (AICC), number of Tanzania cities is totally wrong, about Tanzanite business is true, Arusha famous monument wasn't built after independence (1961) instead it's built in 1967 as Arusha declaration monument, clock tower monument can't be the center of Africa lol but it's the center of the Cairo to Capetown route 😂😂😂 poleni
