Anything past 08 is r40. So I believe there's no k24a2 09. The k24a2 is usdm is from 04 to 08. They do have k24a 09 and up but are r40 head. You go do a Google search. I'm not sure about the r40 having a bigger cam lobes.
Not sure if they have any thatt would fit the plastic intake manifold 🤔 to be honest, but if you change to and rbc yes most throttle body will fit with adapters as well.
@@Almostboosted is there a R40 to RBC adapter that you could point me to? I’ve seen some people talking about cutting up a rbc intake and adding a bypass valve was curious if you knew of a cleaner option. Appreciate the reply
@@Almostboosted I've run my k24a to 8k with no problems with stock pump. And I have the k20z3 with spun bearing to rebuild an put in a ef or eg. Nabor has a eg I mite snag an build it. But rather have a eg like I had as my first car.
They have a lot of supporting applications for the k24z engines. Like prb oil pumps. I seen people swapping a k20z3 head with a k24z3 block, making good power.
You have two types of k series. Economical and performance. Economical : only has 3 to 2 lobs vtec on the intake side camshaft, which allows more air and duration. While the exhaust side camshaft only has 2 lobs. The performance: has 3 lobs on both intake and exhaust side.
@@Almostboosted I was talking about swapping the water pump and the other stuff I found out that the 09-14 Tsx used that same accessories is the jdm k24 so o used the ac compressor and idler
The K24Z R40s are great platforms, especially with 4Piston Racing focusing on them. I track one and its works damn good. Stock tune, stock everything.
Thank you for the feedback awesome. R40's Have surprised so much.
Thanks for the information man! This stuff is gold.
Your welcome thank you. I know I probably left off a couple jdm k24 r40s but is all the same just on different chassis
Great video man super informative. Trying to source a k24a2 06-08 for back up!!
RIP headphone users with that opening........
Sorry lol 😆
Does the 09 k24a2 rbb3 have the bigger cam lobes like the 04-06? Also why can’t I find any info on anything 09 and up?

The K24Z Hold boost better, also easier to boost.
Great information. Thank you for the feedback .
I have a JDM K24A with a head code of R40-6 has the black plastic manifold. Was curious if I had any options for a cable operated throttle body.

I see on eBay rbc kits for that style engine, which is very similar to the k24z7.
PRL makes a good adapter kit for RBC to R40. Have it on my TSX and it works great.
Thank you for this awesome information 👏
I have a JDM K24a head code RBB-4 . What car did this motor come out of ?
07 to 08 jdm odyssey or jdm accord most likely
I had K24A2 that says RBB-3 on the head. Who knows where is this came from?
Probably a 2006 acura tsx
I picked up a fa5 civic si last year woth a k24a seap with a rbb3 cylinder head stamp on it and i just curious if you knew that car it came out of ?
Probably an overseas jdm honda acoord or an honda absolute van kinda like an Odyssey.
I have a 07 si fg2 with k24a with rbb3 head and it runs so good. Do you run yours to 8k rpm ??
That's awesome. Don't give me wrong. I also love the k20z3. Yes, I have a type s prb oil pump, so it revs to 8,400.

Yeah, 8k is safe. But once you replace it, with the type s oil pump. It would get crazy gains.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Doesn’t the euro r tsx use a k20 instead?
The Australia and the New Zealand market got the Honda Accord Euro with a k24a3 that's their version.
The Honda Accord Euro type r came with a k20a
Cu2 k24z3 or honda odyssey absolute k24a2 better?
To be honest it all depends what you are going for in the long run. But i would go with the k24a/k24a2. Is a true vtec and you can do more.
Bcos now my car is 8th accord.....i planning to upgrade my engine

Can i know what means 3 lobe cam? And can i swap the k24a2 head into z3 block?

They down tune quite a few imports for various reasons. As far as I am concerned for no good reason
Very true
bet
Hope it was helpful
RBB4?
Not sure what you mean but.
07 to 08 rbb4
I have a rbb4 in my rsx and has 11:1 compression
To be honest i looked it up only r40 have it. No rbb came with 11.1 compression
You don’t have to swap the the housing and accessories we have a engine here in the states with that same style
K24a has lower mileage compared to the k24a2 and affordable
@@Almostboosted I was talking about swapping the water pump and the other stuff I found out that the 09-14 Tsx used that same accessories is the jdm k24 so o used the ac compressor and idler
Please share it so people can save some money
I was referring to the RBB JDM not the R40
