I wonder what the Mario/Luigi/Princess starter packs will do. Probably a gamble. Though I do see potentential for future collectors as it as musthave for any of the building sets later on the secondary market, however, it has been on the shelves for a bit. What are ur thoughts?

News broke just recently that LEGO is retiring them to put out improved versions of the characters. Changing them from being battery based to chargeable, and some other small changes I believe. So I will definitely not be buying them for investing

That set really hung around on LEGO.com for ages, just went OOS recently, but technically retired in 2022
