    I have had my 2023 SE Corolla Hybrid for about six months now. The filter location is in a different location than in this video which was the back seat on the driver side - not the passenger side. It was simple to access; all you need is a small flathead screwdriver and it will pop right off. Afterwards, you can service the filter how you see fit in this video. Just wanted to add this tidbit of information if anyone with a SE Hybrid happened to see this video.
    AMD - THANK YOU for this channel. It's by far the most informative Toyota channel on TH-cam and all of your videos are helpful!!

      I have. 24 le hybrid popped mine open today and there was barely anything in there. These things don’t get clogged so easily. You have to really live in a dusty or have pets that occupy the backseat to have serious issues. Or never cleaning it. Other than this it should be good

    Why doesn’t Toyota ever tell us anything about this and the extreme importance of keeping the inverter fan filter cleaned on a regular basis? As far as I know it’s never been done to any of my hybrids I’ve owned.
    My 2005 inverter died at 70,000 miles and now I’m wondering if this was the cause. I was very upset and they just brushed me off and wanted $4,000 for a new one.
    I traded it in on a new Prius at the time and again 3 years later because I really love the Prius. Now that I have a ‘21 hybrid Corolla, I went right out and cleaned the filter at 22,000 miles. It was only slightly dirty.and the fan blades only had a slight coating of dust.
    Toyota should be doing a much better job of educating customers about this issue.

    I would LOVE to know how to do this on my 2014 Prius V. I bought mine used at a shady Used Car joint, and I quickly discovered they popped the lead off the trunk battery to reset the engine/battery alerts.

    I had a 2015 Toyota Prius c I would change the oil every 5000 miles and then I would clean the fan screen that one just had a screen in front of the fan I would take the panel off behind the driver seat it was under the back seat passenger side clean the screen off and then put the panel back on it had some plastic clips the kind you have to push the center in and then pull them out that way my screen was always clean and the battery always had fresh clean air like he says in the video do not put anything down in front of the filter Inlet such as bags or anything else you keep in the car it won't allow enough airflow to the battery the battery will overheat and can be damaged

    • @dominicfong6341
      @dominicfong6341 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The air filter mesh(in Prius C) is not fine enough to do a decent job of filtering the elements. I often pay close attention to the fan speed as I pull into my garage, the speed of the fan becomes increasingly noisier as it gets dirtier; that's when I know when something is clogging it.
      I also overlay the mesh with a re-purposed patch of cabin air filter element so it filters much better.
