As someone who stayed away from watching game of thrones for years and just recently started the show back in September, I finished it in a little over a month. Amazing show
Yaaaaasas!!!! You guys are in for one hell of an adventure filled, emotionally wrecking, twisty ride. Season 1 is breadcrumbs to the madness that comes later.
Seasons 1-4 are the strongest in my opinion. Once the directors started running out of book material it went to hell. Not to mention that last season...

SOME ADVICE!! This show is NO JOKE! seriously, Pay attention to everything. Every word spoken. They all mean something sooner or in later seasons. If you miss something, you may not catch the mind blowing reveals later. This show is very very detailed, more than any show. Wheels start turning around episodes 5 n 6.. be patient with the story. Some plots are long but forever changing and paths cross. It is brutal and very emotional. This is known to make people experience every emotion on the spectrum... it will piss you off, break your heart, and maybe give you some revenge... all your questions will get answered sooner or in later seasons, and if you think you are guessing things right, you are probably wrong.. lol .. immerse yourself in the story, and it will not disappoint.. we thronys will guide you through it. It is bigger than you think. Good luck !! We will let you know when you become a MAN and LADY of WINTER , MY SWEET SUMMER CHILDREN

Since y'all are taking this long journey, I highly recommend that you stay far away from SPOILERS! Don't know if yall have a moderator or not, but be extremely cautious when you browse through comments b/c ppl will throw out hints and flat out spoil plot points when it comes to this show. The less you know going in, the better. Make sure you form your own opinions about it b/c ppl will love telling you what they think is good or bad with this series. Ignore it all and watch for your selves. Otherwise, enjoy this crazy ride!

I was absolutely not interested in GOT. Didn’t understand the hype behind it. Then I got really sick and had been in the hospital for about a week. When I got home, I couldn’t do much so I started a new hobby and out of desperation for something to watch. I thought “why not?” and I started watching GOT. HOOKED!! I watched the whole series in about 5 days! (I had to sleep sometimes after all!!). I have now watched this three times. lol!
advice: never close your eyes (things happen fast). all the conversations are important: might be repeated 2 or 6 seasons later. Pausing is a valid action, then you can discuss an issue and then press play (better than talking over the next 5 minutes)
Aw, hell yeah. Do a deep dive. This is legit the only fantasy series worth getting into imo.
Every single season besides the last one is stellar. The whole first half of the show is the most consistent and important fantasy series of all time

It takes a few episodes to really get into it. But after that you will be hooked. Also keeping the family's names straight is a little confusing, but again it will finally get easier to keep the family's straight.

Use subtitles. I cannot stress this enough. That will help with all of the names, places, motivations, and events that you'll be given. It will also of course, help with any confusion the dialogue and their accents may give you. Pay close attention to the dialogue. I also cannot stress this enough. It is even more important than the action on screen, and there will be plenty of that. Pay attention to the opening credits. That will tell you where in Westeros the episodes events will take place. Don't be concerned with not knowing or understanding everything that is happening, and don't be concerned with not getting all of the names and places immediately. That will come and all will be explained in time. Get a moderator. That will screen out any intentional or unintentional spoilers. Remember, you can pause the action at any time to comment on what you think, see, or feel. Feel free to find any character as your favorite. We reactors love that. Welcome and buckle up summer children. It will be a wild, thrilling, emotional and at times, gut wrenching ride.
Just know some of the show is non cannon so take it all with a grain of salt. There's still some salty people mad about the last few seasons 😂 but it's one of my top shows for sure!

I started watching this on a friend’s recommendation. Anytime I express that I wasn’t enjoying it, they assured it gets better. It didn’t! I watched the whole thing My conclusion was it want those hours of my life back. It was not my thing.
