Jon should've been the one to kill the Night King, but Game of Thrones failed to fulfill Aegon Targaryen's prophecy by making Arya destroy him instead. Jon Snow (Aegon Targaryen), was secretly a Targaryen and Stark, the perfect epitome of fire and ice and was always meant to have been the one to thrust the dagger into the villain.
Reel talk! I love the run down after. "It's all bad." 😂😂 BJ feels giants crushing bodies and grey scale now. More beloved characters gone but the deaths were meaningful. Brilliant writing within the mayhem. ❤
I did like the tooth and claw fight between Rhaegal and undead Viserion when he tears part of his face off. Makes me wonder what we have in store for House of the Dragon!

Asia growling teeth out at The Night King 😂. I can’t believe you two didn’t cry. I still cry at all the deaths and especially Lady Marmont and the “Theon you are a good man” I bawl. Still mades me mad Bran as the three eyed raven sees everything and doesn’t give people a heads up.
I watched this when it originally came out but u guys had me jumping and screaming like I didn't know what was about to happen. Definitely THE BATTLE OF ALL BATTLE! Love the reaction..was so much fun!❤
When I first watched this episode I was nervous. After a few more times watching it, I was pissed off. The Night King dies in the first battle. WTF was D&D thinking? The Long Night should've lasted a season or two. In the first episode, we were scared of the White Walkers coming & it ends in 1 episode. Ned chopped off a Night's Watch deserter for nothing. The war between the living & the dead to last longer than 1 episode.
whenever you feel useless in life just remember that the Night King prepared for this war for over 8000 years only to lose and get wiped out in just one night ,😆 perhaps that is why he is called the NIGHT King 😁
The structure and priorities they chose: 3 episodes per long night 3 episodes per politics was just wrong. Not only that's too short, the fight with dead is the climax of the whole story and the ultimate battle should've happened in Kings Landing in last episode i think
Yea, the first battle in kings landing should still happen but this time when the bells ring it ends there. They evict/do w.e with Cersei and the Lannister army joins forces w/Danny and Jon. And have a final battle of the dead/living in kings landing. Imagine that battle, with it snowing in Kings Landing. Woulda been epic
Leanna Mormont kills the giant. BJ: I can’t breathe right now! I’m thinking, dude you better start breathing ‘cause it ain’t slowing down anytime soon! 😅
There wassomuch excitement, twists, and turn in this episode it was crazy! From th battle itself, to the cinematography, to the actong, all of it was amazing!
When the final season hit, I had set up a website where someone could create an account and be taken to a page that listed all living main characters (including the dragons and wolves), and you could select one of 3 options: Live, Die, White Walker. White Walker was a bonus bet, worth 2 pts where each of the others were worth 1. There was also a write in question on the bottom worth 5 pts for who would sit on the iron throne at the end. Everyone chipped in $20 to the pool, and whoever had the most points at the end of the season took all. At the end of each episode, I'd send an update to everyone with the current score board. This episode caused some debate about whether Beric was turned to a White Walker or not (which someone had picked). We never see him as a white walker, but it was reasonable to award the point since he died before the Night King did his thing. Damn those were fun times. I don't think we'll ever get another show like this.
"How can you kill something that's already dead?" "Not a bad question, Bert."-"Return of the Living Dead" the greatest and funniest zombie movie of all time.
I like your reactions. The facial expressions 😮🤣🤣😍 I always liked how the Red Woman told Arya she would close blue eyes. She had no idea . She sure closed a lot of them 🤣
I know people get on bran but the moment he gave the knife to Arya it was like he knew she was going to defeat night king for he saw it. He saw everything already so he just sat there. I also like the fact the red lady reminded arya she’s take out all blue eyes and that’s what made her realize she was to take out night king. I liked that a lot.
46:12 My one beef with this episode, was the cinematography: If it hadn't been so dark, to be able to see clearly what was going on, it would've been all the more epic 🙏🙏🙏🙏
"O no not jamie" could you imagine feeling that way after the first ever episode , things we do for love. Have really enjoyed this journey thank you guys!
When the Whyte's King raised his hands and resurrected the dead, it took me a minute to realize that the dead in the crypts rose too. I kept wondering how they got there so fast...duh.
First of all I have really come to love your reactions! You guys have a great chemistry. I was really looking forward to each Game of Thrones reaction because you two really got into it. You guys are what make reaction videos so much fun to watch! I too think this was a fantastic episode, as good as any action movie that I've ever seen!
To think that blade was the same one that was supposed to take him out in the very beginning, when they were trying to kill him after he’s taken the fall, and she uses it to save him
I rushed home from work at 2 or 3 in the morning to watch this episode. Didn't responded to calls, emails, texts, or anything from about 7pm until after this episode ended. Arya was the single character that, for me, was a make or break deal for the rest of the series. If she died, I was done watching. The only one. She was my favorite character from the moment she shot the arrow over Bran's shoulder to the end (even suffering through the training story line). When The Knight King caught Arya by the throat I was absolutely sure that was it. When she killed him I was jumping and celebrating and, admittedly, had some tears as if my favorite team won Super Bowl or the World Series or something. Arya was always my favorite character. Really enjoyed the way this played out.
A couple of personal considerations: many of them could not survive their mistakes and sacrifice was the only way out of the scene. Arya trained in the tragedy. His path was formidable. No one else had the necessary centring to kill the king of the night. I like to think that in that world, the power of Lyanna Mormont will inspire forever. For me, GOT is over with this episode. Jon looks like a puppet in the thighs of a Daenerys who has completely lost her power in storytelling. Too bad.
And Asia with the grandpa's and watch house of the Dragon that might explain the king of the white walker's..It's crazy how much dany loved John and he loved her but the whispers of lies got in his ears. This show never ended right.
@@jgarofalo8813 I'm just going by what interviews Jason Momoa said and Emilia Clarke, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, Kit all said the show ended wrong but you have your opinion I have mine it's just a fake tv show no hate
Imagine how good this battle would’ve been if D&D actually consulted someone who knows how an actual castle defense would’ve been done, cavalry used as actual cavalry attacking from the flanks, infantry behind the large ring of fire, the walls manned with fire arrows and oil, the trebuchet’s actually behind the walls and continuously firing, less contrivances, plot armor and character assassinations and more actual smart battle planning, imagine if you could actually see the action as well.
Thanks for the reaction. When I watched back then I was suprised that this storyline ended already so quickly. And that was on my old TV, where I really didn't see anything much of this episode. Darkness, screams, fires now and then. Had 2-3 rewatches since then on my new TV. At last I could actually see things happen...
I was working late when this episode aired. I was torn between watching when I came home, before going to bed, or waiting till the next day. I chose the latter as I knew I would enjoy it more. The tension while watching was indescribable. Loved it.
The first 20-30 minutes of this are sooooooo good. So nervous for the whole thing. Love the end. I got the words "Not Today" tattoed on a grim reaper after Season1 and to see that quote come full circle is amazing. Thanks so much for watching this you two, love the reactions!
The fact that Jon's back story, years of fighting, etc didn't fit in this any way was disappointing, to say the least. Before it's over the writers ruin it all.
Arya was groomed to kill the Knight King. The Knight King always had is eye on Jon Snow so he wasn't about to let him get close enough to kill him. ARYA the assassin was the surprise he wasn't expecting. Makes perfect sense.
They abandoned all the prophecies, everything the books lined up for them… they simply abandoned it… just to just to finish. Disgusting that they did that to the audience… and to George RR Martin.
yes since episode one the fight was with the white walkers just to end in one fight on episode 3. Was suppose to be the final fight in king's landing, they fucked up everything 🤦🏾♂️
I was about to read the books next. I was a few years late but after I heard about this I just rather not. I usually love to read the books for all the information that is left out of the movies. Like in Twilight. When we read the books we knew what Edward was thinking in certain scenes that the movie never showed. I'm disappointed to see how disappointing it wAs for the readers@@Ccinc6
I actually loved the surprise of seeing Arts flying through the night and killing The Night King(NK) However, I wish we got some big showdown between Jon and The NK, where Jon could've been hurt. I still love my Arya but wh why have drama with Jon for 6 yrs just to see him yell at the dragon.
It's crazy how no one blinks an eye during episode 2 when they keep saying that the crypt is the safer place to be. EVERYONE picked up on that little nugget of foreshadowing when it first aired. It's probably because you get constant info when binging it. Also, the music at the end is incredible. It might even be better than The Light of the Seven!
I've rewatched the Arya and Brienne sparring many times (there's one where they have light sabers...hysterical) and the Night King.... epic! I jumped out of my seat whoopin' and hollerin'.
I remember saying before season 8 came out, " The dagger was important. " And when Bran gave Arya the dagger. I knew she was going to get the Night King. Plus, the conversation with the Red Woman earlier. Love y'alls reactions!
That battle was greater than Braveheart, Lord of the Rings and 300, I hope you guys go back and watch this so you can see your reactions, great job guys as always
6:45 I never understood why Jon didn't fight on the ground the whole time? What was the point of one of the best fighters with a Valyrian steel sword who had the most experience physically fighting the Army of the Dead being on top of a dragon, who is perfectly capable of breathing fire and fighting on its own, while everyone on the ground was getting slaughtered? I get Dany being up there the whole time because she can't fight. 28:57 ALSO why did he ever stop running to wards the Night King as soon as he saw that the dragonfire didn't kill him. He could've made it to the Night King before he could have raised the dead again!
no one else could ride Rhaegal, other than Dany only Jon has Targaryen blood and thus could ride a Dragon by himself, anyone else would never be accepted and killed by the dragon and a dragon is a much more efficient weapon than a Valyrian steel sword in a battle like that
Because he is a Targaryen and the rightful heir to the throne. The dragons are part of his blood so he and Danerys are the only ones who can ride them.
I get that, but Dany was capable of controlling all 3 dragons at once. They didn't NEED another dragonrider, especially when the one there had the most battlefield experience with them, which he repeated throughout season 7 & 8 prior to the fight.
@@carriesmith742 I’m not going to spoil anything but we’ve already seen her lose a dragon in a non battle at this point. If she was killed or Drogon (or both) that would leave the third one open to be killed and used as well. With each dragon having a rider you wouldn’t have the possibility of a riderless dragon during the battle.
@@jgarofalo8813 i get what you're saying, but in this particular instance Jon had particular experience fighting this particular enemy and Rhaegal was only needed to clear away extra whites. We'll just have to agree to disagree on this one. Jon's family heritage, which at this time is supposed to be unknown to everyone else, shouldn't matter anyway. Winning the battle is the goal and I just felt Jon had more to contribute on the ground as a foot soldier where he was most comfortable, rather than on a dragon when he had only ridden one once in his life before.

Jon Snow (Aegon Targaryen), was secretly a Targaryen and Stark, the perfect epitome of fire and ice and was always meant to have been the one to thrust the dagger into the villain.
All that is just fan fiction. RR signed off on this season. The whiny crybabies ruined the last season. (For themselves) not for me
Reel talk! I love the run down after. "It's all bad." 😂😂 BJ feels giants crushing bodies and grey scale now. More beloved characters gone but the deaths were meaningful. Brilliant writing within the mayhem. ❤
The scenes shot in this episode are to DIE FOR☠️💀🫶🏾✨🖤❄️
I remember this ep got criticized for being filmed too dark. If I only saw Arya’s final “dunk”, it was completely worth all the chaos.
Ya I turned up the tint , contrast , and brightness for the first time in years 😂
Asia and Bj made this rewatch exciting. I had my bright turned up to sunlight when i first watched back then and still couldnt see nothing😅
I did like the tooth and claw fight between Rhaegal and undead Viserion when he tears part of his face off. Makes me wonder what we have in store for House of the Dragon!
Your beginning commentary said this was gonna be episode 3 & 4 and I looked at the time and thought how the hell are they reacting to 2 episodes and the length of the video is only 47 mins, sooooo I'm so glad this video was just episode 3!!👍👍
Lyanna, the giant slayer.
When the Red Witch lit their swords, I got freakin chills
Asia's face at 38:29 onwards is just incredible 😂😂
The way I klicked this so fast!!
@@foadskyflier 8,000 years down the drain in 1 night. Let's hope House of The Dragon hired the right writers.
The structure and priorities they chose: 3 episodes per long night 3 episodes per politics was just wrong. Not only that's too short, the fight with dead is the climax of the whole story and the ultimate battle should've happened in Kings Landing in last episode i think
@@EntrEsprit that last battle would've been good to watch in Kings Landing
Yea, the first battle in kings landing should still happen but this time when the bells ring it ends there. They evict/do w.e with Cersei and the Lannister army joins forces w/Danny and Jon. And have a final battle of the dead/living in kings landing. Imagine that battle, with it snowing in Kings Landing. Woulda been epic
BJ's reaction to the night king exploding... so good
i still love this episode, i dont care what anyone says about it
Leanna Mormont kills the giant.
BJ: I can’t breathe right now!
I’m thinking, dude you better start breathing ‘cause it ain’t slowing down anytime soon! 😅
It’s raining men, but not the hallelujah part 😂😂😂😂
Omg Asia's reaction to the battle.....priceless
Jon was robbed…he should have killed the Night King…but nope: Ninja Arya. 🤷♀️
There wassomuch excitement, twists, and turn in this episode it was crazy! From th battle itself, to the cinematography, to the actong, all of it was amazing!
Crazy that theres people that havent seen this show yet but i always love seeing new peoples' reaction to this episode
I loved seeing Asia's reaction to Arya killing the Night King. I have been waiting for you guys to get to this episode
1: yes Arya is doing all that 😮
2: it's not Braun but Theon😅
3: Bonus - 8 seasons😢
I like your reactions. The facial expressions 😮🤣🤣😍
I always liked how the Red Woman told Arya she would close blue eyes.
Yes! This! Melisandre’s foreshadowing/go get him girl!
46:12 My one beef with this episode, was the cinematography: If it hadn't been so dark, to be able to see clearly what was going on, it would've been all the more epic 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Lol yeah let's just throw up some LED street lights on this night-time medieval battle ground, the darkness was perfect my guy.
"O no not jamie" could you imagine feeling that way after the first ever episode , things we do for love. Have really enjoyed this journey thank you guys!
5:24 For me, this was a *hugely* missed opportunity for Tyrion to have repeated his strategy of deploying Wildfire against the incoming army...
The one thing that didn't decline as the show went on was the music. Ramin Djawidi is the GOAT.
I agree with you and also felt like Theon’s character had the best arc. They were the scenes I looked forward to the most.
Love watching this show with you two.
Probably the most intense battle ever on a tv show,
When the Whyte's King raised his hands and resurrected the dead, it took me a minute to realize that the dead in the crypts rose too. I kept wondering how they got there so fast...duh.
What a dumb decision to put the women in a crypt when they are fighting a necromancer
First of all I have really come to love your reactions! You guys have a great chemistry. I was really looking forward to each Game of Thrones reaction because you two really got into it. You guys are what make reaction videos so much fun to watch! I too think this was a fantastic episode, as good as any action movie that I've ever seen!
To think that blade was the same one that was supposed to take him out in the very beginning, when they were trying to kill him after he’s taken the fall, and she uses it to save him
It’s pretty “chilling” to see Dothraki running away on an open field.
This reaction was Gold!! Loved it!!
sam just laying there STABBING away love it
I rushed home from work at 2 or 3 in the morning to watch this episode.
Too bad.
The Night King is able to resurrect ALL of the dead. So the dead in the crypt that were attacking the women and children are all Starks of the past.
And Asia with the grandpa's and watch house of the Dragon that might explain the king of the white walker's..It's crazy how much dany loved John and he loved her but the whispers of lies got in his ears. This show never ended right.
There were no lies told. The next few episodes prove it and Sansa was correct.
@@jgarofalo8813 I'm just going by what interviews Jason Momoa said and Emilia Clarke, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, Kit all said the show ended wrong but you have your opinion I have mine it's just a fake tv show no hate
So The Sopranos cut to black , shoot GOT showed a whole episode in black 😂 ( 📺 )
I have seen this many time.. This was only 47 mins, with stopping for you.. Still took me an hour to watch. This one gets me Every Time!
Did you know that Chris Stapleton was actually one of the undead wildlings in the knight kings army!
Arya kills the NK equals Jon's wasted arc...smh 😢
Spice Girls said it. Girl power!
I was working late when this episode aired. I was torn between watching when I came home, before going to bed, or waiting till the next day. I chose the latter as I knew I would enjoy it more. The tension while watching was indescribable. Loved it.
Asia keeps talking about how she going down to the crypt! 😂 BJ I believe that you ordered her to go with the kids! 😂🤣
Exactly, I thought it was perfect and unexpected. Jon might have been a good fighter but Arya was a perfect killer!@@nashkita77
Theon still killed John Wick's dog.................
I actually loved the surprise of seeing Arts flying through the night and killing The Night King(NK) However, I wish we got some big showdown between Jon and The NK, where Jon could've been hurt. I still love my Arya but wh
why have drama with Jon for 6 yrs just to see him yell at the dragon.
