He is arguably one of the public's favorite officers in the Uganda People's Defence Forces. One of his role models is President Yoweri Museveni, who he says bears the unique character of patience, a trait he also prides in.
Not only is Lieutenant general David Katumba Wamala revered within the military's ranks, he is also trusted and listened to by civilians. A self-confessed family man, he partly attributes his achievements to discipline and Hard-work.
