I saw the full film. She was just. Phenomenal. Perfect. I saw the film and I couldn’t imagine a more brilliant, emotionally-damaged (from her parents and school), wonderful Matilda. Every scene was phenomenal. I’m so happy and proud of her 😊
The way her eyes just went so wide and everyone started screaming was so heartwarming! She did awesome as Matilda, and really captured her sense of mischevious innocence.

Just for them? There's plenty of her to go around. I was born in 1995 so technically I'm closer to being in the generation that saw the 1996 adaption of Matilda when it came out. But I saw this adaption a few weeks ago. And I absolutely loved it. I wasn't sure what to expect when I considered that it had 'Musical' in the title. Makes it sound like it puts too much emphasize on the music and not enough on the other things. But I'm glad I didn't hold that against this adaption! 😀
It seems so exciting to find out the role that you got in a movie, let along finding out that you got the role of the main character. I hope I can feel the joy of that some day, congrats on getting the part!
Absolutely fantastic casting and the producers made the right decision- in fact the whole film was excellently cast. But this little girl MADE this film. Not musical fans but our kids cannot stop singing or dancing to the songs and have watched the film several times which is unheard of!!
