You should try more of the Mercedes Benz line of fragrances. I would love to hear your opinion on those. They are amazing designer/niche level as far as quality goes, but VERY affordable.

I have TF Ombre Leather edp , but I must try Parfum. Valentino uomo Born In Roma Intense 10/10 , Invictus Victory Elixir as well. Very good 2023 release. Question . Monika you told us that Club de nuit Intense is better than monblanc Explorer, but most of the times you recorded Explorer. 🤔 both of the Chanel are good , but I do love chanel Platinium Egoiste, I am getting always so many compliments.. 🇵🇱🥂
I got a mini 5 ml bottle of Mont Blanc Explorer on a whim, and man I was pleasantly surprised. Couldn't stop wearing it.
You definitely can't go wrong with Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme and Explorer. Some hate on them, but they are absolutely amazing. Good smelling and compliment pulling fragrances.
Sport Eau Extreme is brilliant, just wish the performance was better 😢

Y EDP Intense is an amazing smell. I find it more of a summer scent. I've been rocking Y EDP this spring and it really shines in the cooler weather but I never really enjoyed it when it was 70 F degrees and over. This new intense version is gonna be a killer 70*F and above.

I have just a few fragrances, like single digit, yet I do have 4/10 of your list which I find surprising. Similar taste I guess, I should buy the rest of the list! Other ones that I have and expected on the list are Terre EDT and La Nuit, maybe Dylan Blue. Perhaps one of them instead of 1 of the two Chanel fragrances. Not that they are bad but for a bigger variety in houses. That would exclude La Nuit though because there's alread YSL in the list.

For some reason I don't like Chanel BDC at all. It seems totaly overrated to me. Something about it has something disharmonic, bitter, scratchy and sour to my nose.
I would prefer Allure homme sport, eau extreme, edition blanche and also the gentlemanly original first "allure homme" over bdc everytime.
Layton is great, but i dont agree with your mentioned occasions. Imho its mainly a sweet and spicy perfume for the cold season. I think Layton in the heat could be way to much.

This is a really good list. I love Layton, it’s probably my favorite out of this list. AHSEE is an easy grab for me too, as it’s so versatile and can wear it anytime. I’d add Guerlain Ideal EDT and YSL Y Le Parfum 😊
Have to agree with you about Layton. It’s become my signature scent to the point that I found it on sale and bought a 200ml bottle. 🤣
Been using explorer for a while now and it's great, such long lasting and a compliment getter 👍🏻

In terms of age bracket, Allure > Bleu > Égoïste, Allure being the most youthful whereas Égoïste is the most mature.
I'll recommend Channel Platinum Egoiste. My all-time favourite cologne, for all year round if you want to smell like a boss.
It's definitely a boss-like fragrance 👌👍.
id love to see a top 10 best edt's. since they are usually a bit safer and for some reason get me more compliments than edp's, id love to know the best of the best in the edt world

I love Montblanc Explorer for every Day. Bleu de Chanel EDP is so a great Fragrance. For Date or Night I love Prada Luna Rossa Black, Girls love this Fragrance!

BDC EDP is very strong on my skin! 3 sprays at work lasts all day and projects very strong for 5+ hrs! Same with DS Elixir! 2 sprays from a decant is beast mode! I’ve really been enjoying Ralph’s Club Elixir and YSL Le Parfum!
Bdc edp is the best fragrance I own. It just has everything o want from a fragrance. It fresh, it's woody, warm and a bit balsamic. Perfect.
Bdc edp is the definition of perfect. The problem is I can't smell it on me after a short time, I hope others enjoy it tho
I love BDC EDP. I can’t get into DS Elixir. However, Nothing in the BDC lineup can come close to competing with the strength and projection of DS Elixir. Not even enough to be in the conversation

This is a great list. Not a one I dislike. I do prefer the EDP Ombre Leather over the Parfum though, leans a little more masculine.

Montblanc explorer my all time favorite fragrance. If it was mandatory and I was only allowed to have one fragrance for the rest of my life it would be Montblanc explorer.

For whatever reason, Layton is my least complimented fragrance out of the 6 I have in rotation. Le Male Parfum is my #1 in regards to compliments, Bleu de Chanel Parfum is at #2 and typically used for date nights, #3 is Dior Sauvage EDP, Mancera Lemon line gets the #4 spot, Creed Royal oud, although my favorite, fell to #5 but I only wear it for formal and semi formal attired events. I wear the other 4 a lot more... And then yeah, there it is..... Layton is at #6 behind all of my other ones. Don't get me wrong, I like it and that's all that really matters to me, but in regards to receiving random compliments.... It just doesn't happen when wearing that one.
👍 for Invictus Elixir, tired of BTC and D Sauvage, they need to take it up a notch - same old; Id recommend Le Male Elixir, 1 million Elixir or Parfum or Royal, JPG Le Beau EDP & EDT, and for the summer Hermes Eau Givree. Montblanc is love/hate no lasting power. From the oldies, but still modern Givenchy Pi

For me it's Layton but I would not recommend it to everybody, unless it does to them what it did to me, because of the price.
I think spending this much on a fragrance is stupid if you just think it's good, because there are so much other, much more affordable good fragrances out there.
But when I smelled Layton for the first time, I could not stop thinking about it, so I went back and got a 2ml tester and when I wore it for a couple of days, I constantly had to smell on myself because I just find it so insanely good.
Personally I don't spend this much on a fragrance if I just want to have it, but with Layton it was like I NEED to have this fragrance and I do not regret the purchase at all.
I think too many people buy into the hyped fragrances and spend way too much money on them, even though they don't really like them that much.
Like, my other colognes pretty much cover a price range from 150€ to 30€, but in my day to day life, it doesn't really make a big difference which one I wear. I like all of them and they all give me the confidence that I smell good, but that's it.
When I put on Layton, it does make a difference, because I don't just smell good, I smell divine and I go about my day more confident and happier.

Chanel ASE had been my most complimented fragrance for the longest time, however I have learned over just the past year that Versace Pour Homme layered with Molecule 01 literally obliterates AES. I tried layering ASE with Molecule 01 also, and though it did well, it did not come close to the combination of the Versace Pour Homme/M01. With Versace being light and super fresh I apply one spay under each ear on the neck, as well as one behind the neck, one on each wrist & if wearing short sleeves one on the inside of each elbow, for a total of 7-9 sprays. Then I use one spray over each of the Versace sprays on my neck and one over the 2 sprays on my wrists for a total of 5 sprays of M01. I don't layer the sprays on the inside of the elbow if I've sprayed there, no specific reason why, I just never have & it's not really necessary lol. I have also gone with just my neck, and applied 2 sprays of the Versace on each of the spots mentioned before for a total of 6 sprays of VPH, and then layered those with one spray of M01 in each area for a total of 3 sprays and have had the same results everytime no matter the quantity or locations of the layering.
I was about to order a new bottle of M01 this past summer, and just happened to come across it in a boutique shop when I was visiting Nashville. It was literally 112 degrees that day so I had on a very small amount of VPH, and later that day, rather than re-apply, I decided I'd give it a bit of a boost with the M01. Even with both being fresh scents I was a bit weary of doing this for the heat... but let me tell you it was an insanely good decision, and one that I'll always be grateful for having made. I consider finding this combo as sheer dumb luck.. & turned out to be like a pot of gold. I've worn M01 on it's own for a very long time and have layered it with many scents in the past, and it's always been really good and at times great, but this combo for 'whatever reason' is just a compliment beast. It literally is the epitome of the term compliment magnet, and is so in a way like no other scent I've ever worn on any level from cheapie to niche, & being 46 years old I can tell you guys I've tried and worn and loved many. This is one of those rare hidden gems though, and I'm not one to gate keep things like this, and am more than happy to share this with everyone. Fellows please take my advice and if M01 is right on your skin type, get a sample of it and a small bottle of VPH.. layer it one time and watch the magic happen. It happens every single time I wear it, to the point if I'm not wanting to be stopped and asked about it.. I'll just wear something different.. it's really that good. You will be chased outside of stores wearing this. Ladies literally will track this down wherever you are to find out who it is wearing this scent. Give it a try this coming spring/summer, and if you don't get the reactions I'm talking about, feel free to come back here and put me on blast 😂. This combination will have you're thinking your entire collection and AES as great of a scent as it is will quite likely be the first to go. Please give it a try just once & and you can come back and thank me later fellas!! 👍👍

Yes Uomo intense has an iris and leathery profile similar to Dior Homme Intense so they smell nothing alike to my nose. I have YSL Le Parfum which I like most and a decant of the Intense which I’d probably put third behind the EDP! Get a decant and try it on your skin before committing to a bottle!

Glad to see Aqua di Gio Profondo on this list. It really has a great fresh aquatic scent with the widely loved Amber notes, plus longevity is good too.

Overall a nice list. However, I would steer anyone away from Montblanc Explorer unless you're using it to layer because it simply doesn't last. The projection is 2/5, sillage 1/5, longevity 1/5. There are many other aventus like fragrances out there with much better performance. L'aventure is one to look at.
