What is the point of collecting trash as dry and wet separately in smaller vehicles and then mixing them in a compacter and throwing in a single landfill, Wet waste should be utilised for some sort of Bio gas production (BTW thank you for all the BBMP workers for keeping the city clean)
Wet waste will be used separately and it will be converted into compost and used for agriculture.. That's separation is very important. All these compost need to be sold to farmers by agri input companies compulsory as per govt of India regulations.
BBMP has destroyed our Village by dumping 14 Lakh Tonnes of garbage in the early 2000s and stopped dumping due to severe protest by US, but we still are suffering from Problems like ground water contamination. PS Mavallipura Village
What is the point when half the garbage is still on the streets and lakes. Some fall from these vehicles only PLEASE INSTALL PUBLIC BINS on streets so that no one litters
Amazing how the older parts of the city (Indiranagar to Cubbon Park area) were so well maintained and beautiful, on the other hand KR Pura to Silkboard road looks so rundown with very narrow lanes to residential outlets and so many dirt roads
Why do residents have to segregate waste when everything is eventuality dumped together. After few years there will be another scam to remove dumped waste. Has BBMP done any study on the impact to environment & local people due to this mindless dumping of garbage. This video should have also focused on those issues

@@mohandas5961 They won't mix it. They hav shown wrongly in video.. wet waste is good source of nutrients for agriculture. So now central govt is trying to utilise this in village level agriculture
I stay near to mittaganahalli, distance from city is not 40 km it's just 15 km 😮. Anyone can verify. Authorities are telling 40 km just to fool all of you. This has to be stopped immediately.
Some one should develop a ml based machine to segregate wet and dry waste. Bbmp should do composting of wet waste. Every one should do composting at home as much as possible.
People around the mittaganahalli is facing the issue of nasty smell and contaminated ground water due to dumping, bbmp is just polluting the cleanest villages to dump the waste, road accidents are increasing because of reckless driving from bbmp dumping vehicles
Can see a close lake near by.Are these wastes collected for sake of people and ignored to pollute the environment more .BBMP a mission on it? Should consider very soon ways to reuse ,reduction of waste ,and more over biomining as appropriate .
Also heard that the compacters prefer wet waste as it increases the weight as compared to just dry waste as they are paid for tonnage.. don't know how true it is..
Even if dry and wet waste may be mixed up again, please still segregate your waste! There are waste pickers who go through the waste to find items to recycle, and unsegregated waste isn't making their lives any easier!!!

Thanks for asking! I was surprised nobody is asking about it. Apparently that is the end of the story since The Hindu would have picked that up if there was something being done
First, these employees should do all these work during night time... instead blocking all lanes with their vehicle. secondly consistency! some areas doesnt have anything like this. they dump everywhere. Third - fine ppl heavily so they wont throw on the road.
your third point should be the first... and so easily you have mentioned that this work should be done at night...do you know the amount of work that goes in for this? people are not provided proper gloves or adequate gear to clear this . To top that, they are paid peanuts. It's easier said then done. If people were sensible to at least realize that they are also humans like us and it's a painstaking job, things would have been so much better.
Every city town and village the corporation workers dump the waste in the outskirts No proper facilities for waste management and disposal No recycling facilities Government at centre and the states should start a public sector unit and also a separate ministry for waste management and disposal and recycling
The wastes are dumped in the day time and burned during the night time. we can see huge flames with highly burnt plastic toxic smoke reaching up the sky no matter it rains or not. The villagers and people around this area witness it every day and are helpless with this act.
This is not environmental friendly, no seperation of different types of waste, they should learn from singapore, there is a youtube documentry on it, they seperate the waste and then burn it and then dispose of the ashes in landfills before removing any metals from it.
Request BBMP to provide gloves and safety shoes to all workers...they handle all waste with bare hands...really sad state..better waste management system required...
Please please please make sure to separate wet and dry waste correctly and please try to pack broken glass, sanitary pads properly and please and them🙏🏾 ,
not the right way of collecting trash, some citizens are happy that trash is collected from their door step. Instead citizens should have their choice of time to dispose trash whenever they want however within the laws and regulations of the authority. 1.)Firstly citizens should segregate their dry and wet waste separately and dispose in a near by waste disposal bin. So that people can dispose their trash at any given time they want. becasue people have different work schedules. 2.) this way, trash could be picked from the allotted trash bin area at any given time. 3.) if citizens are not following the rules then, authorities should have a monitoring system to manage the rules and laws through monitoring system. this sorta monitoring system can help many other analysis of data. 4.) this can exempt the number of vehicles/man power of the trash authorities and can save a lot of money. 5.) this can also save manpower cleaning road trash every day. 6.) this kinda practice of waste management collection can avoid trash on streets and also stop clogging/blocking the drainage systems.
Bellahalli also same story.. what next?.. not much politicians are worried about.. Video ends without any answers for what next.. ..........sad reality
They are damaging environment. Waste should be segregated and treated properly otherwise it will cause more issues down the line. They are not cleaning they are polluting. Instead of making tunnel they should create treatment plant. Focus on roads and streetlight instead of 60 percent kannada board.
How are thrashes come on the road? On its own? Grow up, citizens!!! Spitting and littering have become the culture of India. From the school level, this should be taught, not just posting on TH-cam.

The biggest pile of garbage that's been rotting this city and that needs to cleaned out ASAP is BBMP itself
I am sure mask & glows were given when BBMP got to know news channel are coming 😂😂😂
The gloves and the Marshall are purely for photo op, never seen anyone wear them
