  • In March 2009, Google purchased the Summa Mill from the Finnish paper company Stora Enso in order to convert it to a data center. The first phase of the project was completed in September 2011. We are happy to celebrate 10 years in Hamina this year offering our customers to run on the cleanest cloud of the industry.
Google is carbon neutral today, but aiming higher: our goal is to run on carbon-free energy, 24/7, at all of our data centers by 2030. Plus, we’re sharing technology, methods, and funding to enable organizations around the world to transition to more carbon-free and sustainable systems.
We’re proud to call Hamina home and honoured to be part of the local community. Read more on Google's data centers here: www.google.com...
