They're GSXR 600/750 K4/K5 forks. The calipers came with the new forks. You can use the original Bandit wheel, but need to fit different size bearings and get new spacers and bearing tube machined up.
Stunning bike, only thing I would change is the height of the front lamp. I like the top of the glass to sit at tank height. But hey, your bike, your rulz. Nice one!!!
Hi Jon. Ta for the comments. The bike has been completely rebuilt (Orange frame/wheels and black bodywork)since this was posted as it got written off by a Corsa driver :( The headlight is now lower :)
Cutting, welding and a bit of grinding and on it went Dave ;-) The bike got written off at the beginning of June so I had to do it all over again :-( It's now back on the road, bigger, better, orange and black !!!
Obey Amkal & Shelly...It's a standard Suzuki colour...It's Candy Dark Brown Umber Code Y7F. You'll have a hell of a job to get it to match though. I ended up getting half litre and repainting the whole bike!!
froudster rebuild bro but do her the same she was a 1off hope you have healed up and going strong bro ,got a 1200 bandit nothing like yours but i love it 14 years old an still going strong what back end did you use ?
Just finished fitting a new engine and this is it's first startup. Sounds a lot quieter than the one I took out : ) Just noticed...I must sort the gear indicator as it jumped to 1 when I revved it up and it was in neutral.
The clocks I've fitted are from a GSXR600 which go to 15K RPM. As you already know a B12 does not rev to 15K!!! Bandit 12 motors are usually in a black/grey colour. I coated this one with PJ1 Satin Black engine paint.
what the piss why does your tach go to 15k! also did you coat the motor? or does it come all black. I just got my bandit, I love it but I can feel the big 1200 motor is just begging me to let it loose with some de-restriction mods.
I can't get stuff like this done any more Josh :( Pick yourself up a copy of Streetfighters Magazine as there are plenty of companies in there that will do one for you.
what year is this is that a custom seat and tail I got a 98 gsf1200 bandit I wanna do a black and gold build on but I don't like the stock king and queen seat
Hi Sean. Its a full seat unit and sub frame from a 2003 Yamaha R1. NOT easy to fit. The frame has to be cut and welded. The original Bandit is 1999..A Mk1.
For those that don't know..On Thursday night 04/06/11 a car driver decided to pull out of a layby and do a U turn in front of me. I had nowhere to go apart from to plant my front wheel in her wheel arch. I landed somewhere on the other side of the car. The bike is a write off as the frame is bent and cracked in places :( I was lucky to survive without any life threatening injuries although I am verrrrrrrry sore and have an enormously swollen right b*llock!! She will live again soon.
WoW j'adore cette machine 👉
Loved Kawasakis for over 30 years, '19 got a 2005 GSF 650 BANDIT, all about the acceleration Bandits are the best. In awe of your 1200 Street fighter.

That'd be a good starting point mate.
Hard to beat the brown bandit, unless it's black & orange of course! lol Still loving this brown one though!
nice bike mate , is that gixxer 1000 front end ? , any mods to get it to fit ? looking for info for my own bandit
Its from a Derbi Senda Xtreme 50cc. Power wise its not bad at all.

so need to get it stripped and look at the chassis
Where did you find the exhaust system? nice bike btw
Did the clocks take much wiring in? ive got a mark 2 and currently in the process of a rebuild after an accident
nice, do you think you could do that for a 03 z1000?
No blueplint for it I'm afraid. I just decided what I wanted and modified it bit by bit.
What year is this and where did you get the see through clutch cover?
Thx
Jw

+Steve Froud OK cool thank you definitely looks worth the work
Nice!
how much did your oil pressure drop with the headoiling?
It didn't drop at all as the lines do nothing. They are purely cosmetic.
