It is not a piece of shit in fact I would take this model over the slim any day the problem is Sony told you to only vacuum off the outside vents and put a warranty sticker on it telling you to say out that sentenced Every Singel PlayStation ever made to an average life reduction of 75% or more depending on your air quality alone and trust me unless you live in a plastic bubble you should be cleaning that system no less than once every six months no matter were in the world you live.

Quick question. In the hole of the "gear", can i use a hexagon (6 sides) screw driver if my phillips is too fat to fit in the hole, or the only one that works is a phillips?

there is a reason it is not ejecting so that answer is likely a big NO. it likely needs a repair, sorry just removing the disk is not going to fix the problem 99% of the time.

@@ClovisX I'm not sure I did some research and other people have had similar experiences with the disc drive but I'm gonna wait until things start opening up, I'm gonna Sony and see what they may say and probably take it to a shop and see if there's anything they can do.

you doing great video and seem knoledegable my question is will you always have to do this now i will admit i neglect my ps4 and barely clean it have little time to but will id eject itself now? i have always just downloaded games as i get the free ones monthly and games to much $ lol please help me
for the 1200+ models, during your cleaning something that should be done religiously every 6 months, and yes I do have a video for doing that safely, you can simply disconnect all the disk drive ribbon cables and save power and wear & tear on the disk drive as it is not needed, but if you like to play a disk or DVD from time to time the cleanout of the system will likely take care fo the randomly ejecting however there are lots of reasons for that you may wish to have a qualified repairman do that just ask for actual education in component level electronics education or you will likely get some idiot watching a youtube video and seriously you can destroy your own system for free doing what they will be doing.

I'm scared to mess with the console I pressed remove disc on the screen and then nothing happened it showed the ejection sign but then I started up the application thinking it show an error but now I can't move across the home screen. Should I try the geek squad.
Geek Squad I would totally Not recommend for any game system they are IT school graduates they learned how to network computers not repair computers I know I made Best Buy replace a kids game system over one of there bullshit TH-cam Repairs. You need someone with an education in electronics, not software.

I used 2 screwdrivers one a small Phillips cross head and the other was a T8 security Torx, a T9 will also work
And when I press the eject button it just makes beep sound and nothing happens no grinding of Gears no anyting
That happend with my ps4 too, i could play the game that was in there, but if i press the "out with the disc" button the game would deactivate soooooo, yea

Should I attempt this with the PS4 plugged up? Or should I unplug it first and then try?
Unless you lost power to your house you should not try this or you will likely break gears as for trying plugged in or not (Definitely do not try it while it is plugged in EVER!)

i did all what this man said and after that i got my disk out fin and clear and did all he said i not hear any click sound when i was taking the disk out but when i was finish taking my disk out and turn my ps4 on then the click sound came WHAT TWO DO PLZ HALP ?
get it fixed did you really think it was just going to start working right after you removed your disk after all it was stuck in there for a reason. With all likely hood, you will damage your system trying to fix at the advice of videos guessing at what may be your problem it is best to have it repaired by a qualified person that knows how to test them properly and repair them properly. TH-cam is not Proper and 90%+ of you that try fail miserably making your repair more expensive or sometimes not possible.

If you are in CA Google Cloxis Xbox I am the only 5 Stare shop you will find the disk drive is fixable I charge $65 down to as low as $20 depending on what is wrong with it? sorry, there are lots of reasons for what you are experiencing.

Do you have to tighten up the screw that use used to get disc out or no
That is not a screw it is to manually advance the gears if your disk is stuck for any reason other than Not having power you should not attempt to eject it this way or you will likely break gears

I saw the vid i need to correct you on one thing this doesn't work for 1216B or A because those look way different than the 1215B and A and the cover of the console is shut down so it impossible to slide it off without taking out some screws
Obviously, you are seriously mistaken, so I am going to correct you: 1st If your top cover will not come off it is because you spilled Pepsi or gue inside the system. 2nd 1216A & B is almost identical to the system in this video. I have personally repaired over 5K of both them specific models.
3rd Don't be a know-nothing troll A: there are enough A'holes in the world without you being one of them B: You can't correct someone if you do not know what you are talking about.
@@ClovisX jeez you don't really need to say all that well I'm not a 14 year old on twitter so I won't take it personally but what you said really is weird because I have a 1216B ps4 that I had for 6 years but 4 years ago it broke because the disc got stuck in it I remember I saw dozens of videos saying you should take off the cover and when I tried that it didn't work ummmm do you have anyway I can send a photo of the console to you I still have it even tho I replaced it years ago
So my power button and eject button dont work on my ps4 and i have no controller connected but if i put a disk in it will turn on but the problem is that there is adisk stuck in there already lol

well sorry to hear that I suggest you quit and take it to someone that is qualified to work on your system before you damage it possibly to the point that it can not be repaired.
What if this doesn’t work but there was no ticking and you know for certain there is a disc in there
1st I have been told by 1000's of customers they knew there was a disk inside there system and there was no disk so just to be safe I will tell you this 1. take a disk and gently try to put it in if it will not go in because it is blocked there should be a disk inside if it goes in more than 1 inch there is no disk inside.
2. I you have a disk stuck inside you seriously need to take it to a shop that is qualified to repair electronics most of you destroy the systems or make a $25 Quick fix into an expensive repair or an even more expensive replacment trying to remove disks. Videos do not tell you everything and there are 100's of reasons for your disk drive not working try to fix the wrong thing and you may never be able to play a disk again even after taking it to a qualified shop. NO JOKE>
