- Blue Exorcist is returning with a new season! Blue Exorcist has been away for many years now but during Jump Festa 2023, we received a trailer for a new anime project for Blue Exorcist. Today we are going to talk about the Return of Blue Exorcist in 2023 and why it is important to the anime community

Blue Exorcist (Japanese: 青の祓魔師, Hepburn: Ao no Ekusoshisuto) is a Japanese dark fantasy manga series written and illustrated by Kazue Kato. The story revolves around Rin Okumura, a teenager who discovers he and his twin brother Yukio are the sons of Satan, born from a human woman, and he is the inheritor of Satan's powers. When Satan kills their guardian, Rin enrolls at True Cross Academy to become an exorcist under Yukio's tutelage in order to defeat his father Satan.

I remember when I first got into Blue Exorcist I binge-watched the entire first season and at the end, I was just kinda like "Wtf? 🤨" and then I watched the second season and I was even more confused I had to go read the manga because I had no idea what was going on 😭
I was young when I watched it so I didn’t really think anything bad of the ending but that was then this is now, I gotta rewatch it 💪
I haven't seen Blue Exorcist in so long. It was apart of the 3 anime I tried out when first expanding my pallet after being introduced to anime through Naruto. Those 3 anime were Blue Exorcist, Soul Eater, and Gurren Lagann. Funny enough BE & SE were the 2 I loved the most at the time but I never completed them due to the non canon endings. Now I never even knew they weren't canon at the time but the pacing and development just felt off in comparison to their introductions.
I'm excited to see what they have in store for us

Ehhh I don't worry about canon or non canon too much, way I see it besides obviously the studio needed to work with something and the manga wasn't finished, is an alternate timeline. I still enjoyed the ending, yeah I admit and agree with the criticisms, felt rushed, but it's still fine, not hurting anyone. There were also some parts about it that I liked more vs the Kyoto arc, despite Kyoto being more based off the manga... Soul Eater I agree with though ehh... yeaaaah ending to anime was weird and has hindered me from rewatching, vs Blue Exorcist, I've rewatched at least 3 times because I love it so much... same with trying to rewatch Gurren Lagannduring Covid, I... ssss kind of stopped after the time jump episode, oh I'll get back to it, this other new anime I want to check out... been 3 years... now I feel I need to rewatch part 1 again.

I first watched Blue Exorcist and Aot and I’m happy for it until they made AOT characters are look manly and I just can’t with that. Even the girls looks like a man
@@Blaze4ification that’s likely cus they made up a bunch of stuff so they could have some form of conclusion whereas Kyoto arc is just the beginning of the story. It’s clear they were given some info from the author cuz some of the details in that anime only segment come up far later down the line in the anime.
So the stuff you liked in the anime original episodes will show up in some capacity later on (tho much better). The manga is very good.

Hopefully its a Brotherhood like reboot, that will follow up to Illuminati arc. They have shown clips of the Illuminati arc. So hopefully they will give us enough episodes to properly recap the first two seasons in tasteful way. To then follow with the continuation.
Not really needed tbh, the adaptations weren’t bad at all, except for the alternative ending on season 1 which you can skip btw. I’d prefer if they did a season 3.
The ending of season 1 and beginning of season 2 were very confusing
@@pengoh_ It was an awkward way of getting the anime back into the canon to put it lightly, but the first fifteen episodes of season 1 adapt the manga well enough so you just have to stop there before starting season 2.
@@robbieking4070 i feel like it’s less the manga pacing being an issue and more the filler ending of season one that keeps putting blue exorcist on stand still it’s been like six years since the last season and here out of nowhere i’m delightfully surprised to find season 3 is coming

Definitely read, the manga follows very well together. The start takes some getting use to but if you’re already a fan you’ll love it. Currently up to like 137 chapters
I have the sword as well made in Japan with the traditional ways and metal with paperwork, only anime weapon I ever bought the Koma sword
My confusion was about if it would follow first seasson or the second, now i know not only this but much more, and i am even eager to read the manga now, but i gotta re-watch the previous seasons before starting the 3, well, you just got an subscriber, great work man.

I've been seeing conflicting reports on what it's suppose to be. I do find it funny that they have not out right called it "a new season" but only time will tell
I think it’s a very underrated and amazing anime and manga I think were most likely to get more content if it gets more support but it’s also hard to be considered a “good “ series now of days especially with anime only fans wanting the best animation possible if it dosent get that might be overlooked but I hope when it starts coming back peolpe start to watch it again and it gets as popular as the new dr stone and demon slayer season if you haven’t watched or read it I highly recommend

This gives me hope that maybe oke day we can see another season or 2 of Magi to finish up the series. Man 10 years later that still hurts my soul being like 12 years old and watching that show.

In my opinion it’s probably for the best if they reboot the series, if they jump in with a season 3 it’s gonna mess with the current timeline that season 1 built and it’ll turn off new watchers cause of the plot inconsistencies it might be for the best to do a brotherhood and use the first few episodes to recap the first half of the series while fixing the whole mess the second half of season 1 made and continuing right after the Kyoto saga
Honestly I can get behind this. When I think back on it, especially on how the manga structures things, the first few episodes don't need to be that long. We could get through most of what was done in the first two seasons in about 15 to 24 episodes if done right. A reboot is definitely possible

But wouldn’t that just complicate watching further? So you watch these season 1 recap episodes, then you stop and go watch season 2 and then come back to season 3?
Just watch the first half of season 1 then go from season 2 onwards. The Kyoto saga was brilliantly animated so why waste time and money doing it all over again?

Not everyone know anything about this series like they used to.
The old hard fans from the first run probably dropt it.
And the new viewers would probably get confused right away and rate the show really low just like ss2.
Because not everyone read the manga.
(Remember this show is really old, literally 12 years old by now)
This is why Fullmetal and HunterXHunter got a reboot instead a new continuation.
@@vinhkylee1616 In Fullmetal’s case, the divergence happened pretty early on the in story so there wasn’t much to recap and I’ve never seen Hunter x Hunter so I don’t know how much of the manga was covered int he first anime.
Now I’ve gotta rewatch this and buy the manga. Good thing I saved up stuff for personal use!! Haha budgeting does come in handy! I’m so hyped bro I can’t wait.

some days ago i decided to read the manga again beacuse i wnated to se the differences between the anime and the manga. the thing that really got me was when mephisto was in court with the vatican deciding what to do with rin (this scene doesn't appear in the manga) and in that episode amaimon died because rin stabbed his heart with the kurikara (koma?) sword but then some episodes later we can see that amaimon is still alive but in his hamster form (probably because his host body was still weak).
My doubt is: didn't demons die definitively when they were stabbed in the heart?
I'm a huge fan of Blue Exorcist, first time as an anime watcher, now a manga reader since end of season 2. I've pray several time for a season 3, who will cover one of my favorite arc. So, when i see the Jump Festa trailer, i was in heaven ! But now, i've heard that it can be a reboot and i don't understand why. Anime Blue Exorcist is really good. Except for the filler end of season 1, every other things are perfect : good animation, good music, good voice acting, good openings/endings. A reboot of the anime is NOT what Blue Exorcist need, particulary after the excellent season 2. Fans wants season 3, not rewatch what we can already see !
also i asked some of my friends to read this beautiful work of art if they don’t want to read then their missing out also some of them watched the anime and they never checked out the manga

Just to be safe FMA, FMA Brotherhood, and both Blue Exorcist animes spoilers.
I loved the original Blue Exorcist, and yeah most people did until... the end... despite that I think still a bit better than Kyoto saga. Especially how the characters reacted to Rin's reveal. Shiemi greatly disliked her reaction in Kyoto vs the anime, felt it was more fitting her character that I'd come to know. Konekomaru and Ryuji Kyoto made more sense felt more fitting. Meanwhile liked Izumo in both, they did the same job and she was able to pick Rin up both times... can't remember any other character's reactions among his friends.
I was confused at 1st, but looked out, found out yeah it's being Fullmetal Alchemist... but different. FMA original anime I also defend and say yeah it's good... just... it's got the Eragon effect... the movie Eragon, saw it 1st as a movie, loved it, read the book series... refuse to watch the movie cause I know it's horrible, Lightning Thief same scenario, I believe FMA is still good because it is a different route from the manga/Brotherhood's just not as good as Brotherhood's. It's still good even after Brotherhood, just not as good, and if you want to enjoy FMA anime 1 1st... best to do before Brotherhood otherwise you may judge it as bad. You could see the studio was trying its best at the time with what they got, because the mangas weren't finished. I would also say FMA anime 1 does the 1st part better, up through Maes Hughes death especially. It was slow but that felt made the impact of his death harder, meanwhile in Brotherhood... I felt nothing, because it felt way too quick, blowing through this super emotional scene. That being said I think this may be partially due to them trying to speed up through what we know, catch up new viewers while thinking of the older fans, this worked... so why am I bringing up FMA when thi- BECAUSE BLUE EXORCIST DID A *REVERSE ERAGON EFFECT!!!*
It felt too fast in Blue Exorcist anime 1 after his reveal, of which I was kind of glad for back then and rewatching, because I hate liar revealed stuff, especially cause we all know they'll come to accept him in the end... Kyoto though? They drag it out sooooo damn much it's annoying, and again, the one character you'd think would be in his corner, who finds the good even in the darkest people, Shiemi, is treating him like the plague. It's not only predictable we've seen it before on screen. Meanwhile them hinting at Yukio's possible powers showing up in Kyoto... I don't know tells me the manga was going in the same direction as the 1st anime anyways? Am I wrong manga readers? If I am sorry, and while that isn't a big gripe, if they drag it out too much... it's going to lessen the impact because we already know what's happening. It slowed down, while Brotherhood sped up through the parts we knew... heck Kyoto also didn't go through the previous events for a quick recap, which is what led to confusion for anime only fans, and newer fans, it's starting in the middle.
I really didn't like Kyoto, especially in its presentation, even if it was more manga accurate, hopefully going forward this improves, I'm hopeful for this next season, your video in my recommended I was bouncing in my seat... then dread set in remembering my distaste of Kyoto. Hopefully these problems are weeded out for future seasons, I want it to get good again, I love the franchise... even if I'm an anime only person.

Blue Exorcist s1 confuses me, They had enough material for 12 episodes But insted they split Chapter 1 into 2 episodes mixed with filler, They add 2 filler episodes and then 11 more filleg episodes, Like tf!? They couldve ended it at 12.
i just rescently rewatched the series and it reminded me how much i hate yukio
