I just saw this comment for some reason. You're always so generous with your kind words. How was your week? Any good adventures in your beautiful country?
Beautiful! I stumbled on this scouting out for a trip to Acadia on Wednesday. We are going on a side trip while dropping our kid off for his final year at U of Maine. I can already see I will have to make multiple trips back to see all of this park, bike more, and to camp. I am the only one who bikes and camps, lol. Thanks :)
Camping at Schoodic Woods was the highlight for us. It's well worth the extra hour from Mount Desert to have such a pristine section of the park to yourself. We did two nights at Blackwood campground and then Schoodic for the rest of the week and glad we did. Schoodic was a very different vibe. Thanks for watching and feel free to ask any questions about the area. Happy to help.

Thanks for this breathtaking video!! I've added this one to the bucket list! But in the meantime, this will stoke my fire! I feel like I really got a taste!
Thank you! There is so much on those carriage roads to see that wasn't in the video but it would have been a half hour video if I included it all ha ha. If you haven't watched episode 1 of our 2 part Acadia series, it shows the lesser known part of the park that was established in 2018 known as Schoodic Peninsula. It's so peaceful there and we were shocked by how few people we saw. It has a very different personality than Mount Desert Island area. Here's the link 👇th-cam.com/video/cSEPnzbojEY/w-d-xo.html
What an amazing visual experience, the inland routes remind me of cycling in Scotland around the lochs and gravel trails through the glens. The music in your video compliments the scenery and takes you on an uplifting journey of discovery. ❤
@@ThatMountainMoment I’ve just been cycling in Aberfoyle the gravel centre of the UK, also known as Gravelfoyle, amazing place it reminds me of your latest video. I love the music you select, it compliments your video every time.
Well I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and especially comment. I know we all have busy times in life and that's always in my thoughts when I see people on here taking time from their lives to comment on our little channel. It's a very humbling thought and a major motivating factor.
@@ThatMountainMoment yeh life is there to be lived, I spend very little time online, being very selective in the channels I subscribe to. It’s very easy to get sucked into the internet and social media bubble. For me life is to be lived offline in the real world. I dip my toe in TH-cam to get inspiration from amazing people like you, the art is to be smart with channels that give you something back for time well spent. Enjoy the channel, being creative is what life is all about, making a difference to people’s lives with meaningful impact no matter how small.
Agree wholeheartedly, I know I could make the channel grow faster by creating instagram, Twitter and an active facebook to drive traffic to the TH-cam and post more frequently but I too spend very little time actually using social media. The only account I use is this channel for a creative outlet and to enjoy sharing. Anything more would feel unbalanced to my spirit. Out in nature is the real world to me or moments with loved ones. The rest is only relatively real in a sense.
Another wonderfully beautiful adventure and video 💚 I always love hearing you say this is the "best experience I've ever had on a bicycle" 😂 doesn't matter how many times you say it. It just make me smile 😊
Thank you! and yes almost every time we ride its a "best experience" for me ha ha. I just really appreciate everything that the universe gave me in that very moment; from the scenery, the people I get to experience it with, a body that can move freely, a planet so full of wonder and then knowing I get to share it with so many beautiful souls that tune in to watch, makes my gratitude come through in that phrase it seems. Hope you had a good week on your side of the world. Great to hear from you again.

@@kylesmith4653 I am grateful to John D. Rockefeller Jr. for donating his land and carriage roads to make Arcadia National Park. It was he who had the impressive stonework made.

ha ha we did the same thing. Winter Harbor was such a quaint and friendly town. Its a place I could picture living for sure. We're very used to winters but that coast in winter is probably incredible with snow on it. Bundle Up!
I actually only use a gopro hero 9. It's the only camera I own. I have a lot of preset settings that I've made for the camera depending on the shot I'm looking for. A lot of trial and error in post editing, like color grading, cropping, lenses correction is crucial to making it look less like a gopro. It's the only camera I can honestly afford but as a result it's the only one I have to try to master ha ha. The editing program is fairly basic too. It's called filmora and it's much more affordable than something like Adobe Premier but you also don't need to be a professional to extract decent footage. Thanks for asking, that really makes me feel good about the results so far and motivates me to keep improving. I really appreciate that.
My wife and I spent a week riding our bike in Arcadia, last August. It isn't easy to go there and not think about what it would be like to move there. We can't move there for several reasons, but for at least a month after we got home we kept dreaming about it.
