Not really depressed, but, i've read some parts in the manga that, when they reach their lifespans, they just 'change clothes' into a new one. so the characters will still exist. unless killed by bad cells i guess.
The funny thing is that RBC's voice actor (Hanazawa Kana) probably does the same thing to Platelet's VA (Naganawa Maria) because she is so cute. Plus, Macrophage-sensei is that powerful ONLY because her VA is eternally 17!! (Oi oi!)
