These handhelds all have shared RAM but not VRAM so in BIOS they should come with the highest amount of RAM and the little amount of VRAM as possible from factory. Not a lot of people have figured this out still.
03:05 Se supone que el ROG Ally tiene LFC asi que si tienes la pantalla configurada a 120hz VRR se aplica en todo el rango de FPS, no solo por encima de 48fps.
If I change to Vulkan, I get awful stuttering and on DX12 it runs just perfect. I don't know why that is... what do you use for the FPS overlay? Is that Riva?
@@SantiagoSantiago thank you so much. Is it like at gaming laptop noise level or much quieter, something like steam deck Oled? Nobody actually talks about fan noise but I think it's one of the most important things, especially on handhelds...
*OLED Steam Deck in the works ;)*
LCD Steam Deck: th-cam.com/video/m7Bs0WejJVA/w-d-xo.html
Planning on getting one of these so this gave me a good briefing on what it's capable of. Thanks!

rog ally 1080p locked 40fps a very good experience
can you test bodycom game on it?
Soon ;)

Hey! Yes, msi afterburner + rivatuner + hwinfo64 to add more stuff, DX12 crashes for me
Me too DX12 is much better for me but I see everyone using vulkan
How do you find it's screen vs steam deck OLED? Is the 1080p that noticeable in sharpness in newer AAA games like Red dead here?
You can definitely see the difference in resolution, but I don't think 1080p is worth the performance hit in big games like this one
Thank you, very vell done video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hi, nice video. How did it perform fan noise wise? Was it loud? All the time, only whilecharging, only on 1080, idk...? That would help me so much
You can tweak the fan curve, was noisier at 30W, but you can lower it to 25W and it runs almost the exact same with less noise.

It's quieter than a gaming laptop, not as quiet as an OLED Deck, but much better than the LCD Deck (that one is very loud in comparison)
@@SantiagoSantiago okk thank you, you've been very helpful, have fun with your ally bro
Hi Santiago, after testing steam deck oled, do you prefer it or asus rog ally is a better option?
Hey! The Ally runs games much better, but the short battery life makes me prefer the Deck so far, I don't play very heavy games though
My Video Memory is Stuck at 3944MB any idea?
runs the same with bazzite?
My settings keep resetting after i restart the game. Any fix?
Tenias que probar tambien con afmf y rsr.
En bateria con 15w y rsr y afmf va de lujo en 720p y se ve 👌👌
I did everything you did and the game still crashes when i enter the big cities. Everything else works great can anyone help?
My RDR2 mods wont work on the Rog ally do you know if I’m missing out on anything to make it work ?
any plan to check out the rog ally x?
Not for now, we'll see
Cuando vas a probar Bazzite en el Rog Ally?, ese tema da para muchos videos
Por el momento no lo instalé aún, apenas pueda lo hago 😊
Is this the extreme or regular
Looks like the extreme, thats what he linked in the desc.
Any input lag?
So the best way to test which is the best handheld is running Rdr2 at Saint Denis location 😂
Definitely the best test, it's brutal!
First one? damn thats rare haha
