The Rocky Horror Picture Show was the original cult film that ran every Friday and Saturday at midnight (I have seen the film over 150 times). IMO you should have started with the song “Time Warp”. It would have been a better introduction to the film. But if you ever get to see a midnight showing with a cast acting in front of the screen and the crowd throwing out (extra) lines with the movie, jump at the chance. It really is a wonderful experience.

I remember hearing about when this started showing in 1975 and getting to see it in 1978 with some high school friends at a midnight showing for Halloween in Chicago, Illinois.
Watching the pre-show activities (Virgin auction/dare) getting up and dancing to the "Time Warp" and all the other audience participation activities, was so much fun.

Tim Curry especially (and yes, he played the original Pennywise, as well as the butler from Clue... and so many other wonderful things.) He's an outstanding actor, and was absolutely perfect in this role. I have always envied the way he could strut in platform heels better than most women. I actually came over to this video after getting the notification that you did Time Warp (technology is really slow in my house right now), thinking that you needed to see Sweet Transvestite, if only to see how utterly talented Tim Curry is. All we could do was laugh. Everyone should watch this movie at least once. There is a reason that is a cult classic movie. Tim Curry was perfect as Dr Frankenfurter and you get to see a young Susan Sarandon LOL BTW, this was originally a stage musical that was adapted to the big screen. I think the last Broadway revival was back in the early 2000s. It is actually a spoof of the bad B sci-fi/horror movies from around the 1950s. It is just supposed to be some good fun.
