Mate, I keep on getting reminded that many of our big stores like Bunnings are Australian! No wonder we get laughed at when we say we are independent! 😂
😂😂😂👊 i was thinking more Hot chocolate now than coffee.🤣👍 and i got my own hair tong from the trift store. No wrecking my Wifes ones and then then sleeping with one open. 😝👊 you had a great idea with these. Cheers for stopping in bro.🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧💯💯💯💥💥💥♨️♨️♨️🔥🔥🔥👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Using the mylar cany wrappers to seal your fire cube is a good idea. I will order some Samba fire starters. The cheapest fire starters I use is fire paste made with pieces of a styrofoam cup added to common gasoline in a small glass jar. It works great in snow or very wet conditions . Perfect for lighting a Coleman or similar stove. Thanks for your video and input, Jason . All the best.
I was wanting to make D.I.Y fire Gel. I saw Styrofoam with acetone. Soap and gasoline. There some different variations. Thanks for stopping by brother.😊👍
@QuantumPyrite_88.9 Gas & styro works great and the user can remove as much as they need . I works great for the Optimus stoves , as well as Coleman . Nothing but a very small amount of ash is left.
The Samba ones like that are only good for a few days once the packet is opened. IE open them a light a fire with a cube,, the rest of the pack will loose the volatiles in the next week or so and be useless. So breaking them up and storing them is a good idea if you can. If i am forced to use them, i put 2 or 3 cubes in those little tiny resealable plastic bags. The blister pack like you have there are a much better option, you can cut them up into individual pieces if you need to carry a few, but they are very fragile, the foil rips easily. I prefer the individually foil wrapped versions, they last a long time and seem to be reasonably robust. I think they are about $6 for a box of 40 here in Australia.
I buy the Vesta fire lighters 36 pack AUD$2.96 from Bunning, about as cheap as I can get them and use them for all my BBQ and fire pit duties, a really good option
Cujomojo came up with the idea 💡💡💡🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧💯💯💯 i built on it with a how to pack it for cheap! Bushcrafting and Fire Making Doesn't have to be Expensive. Awesome idea Jason 🙌🏻 I wonder if you could seal those packages in sections by heating up a pair of needle nose pliers over fire and crimping if that would make a seal. I have done that to seal ends of straws for making small waterproof containers Definitely a great flame 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 and even in water 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Thanks for sharing this idea Jason 🤗❤️🔥🙏🏻🤟🏻

This is very cool. Here in Germany the brand of choice is Esbit. Not shaped as a cube, more like a domino. They are packed in a paper box only - so this a cool way to divide it into “rations” 😊 Thanks Jason! Cheers to all!
@@kaidzaack2520 i have seen esbit. I think they are slightly different. Heximine Tablets for cooking. They have double the burn time. And ate a bit more expensive here i got a small pack of 24 for $13.00 New Zealand dollars . I wanted to try them for making a hot drink. Testjng them for a camping option. That will be a Future video. Great to see you. I see on the News here Flooding in Europe. Hope you guys in Germany are Ok? Danke Brother! 😎🤘
@@jasonedwardledburynewzeala9897 Thank you bro! All good here (at least in Hesse, where I live…). Yes, esbit stoves are used by many armies for heating up their field rations (Germany, France, Spain…). I can gladly send you some foldable stoves. Would need your street Adresse. BTW: this stuff burns not odor free. So for cooking it might be weird for some people (slight gasoline smell) 😉

A prescription tablet container works perfectly for 100% airtight storage of these little chemical fire starters.

Hey so cool with the hair straightener 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The thinner sachets might work good with the needle nose pliers 🤷🏼♀️

great idea until a kid finds one and eats it, just wrap in tinfoil then clingfilm
Good Safety Reminder. Thanks.
