I read this today and honestly I thought of how your explanation makes learning Spanish effortless *The impossible is obtainable if you put your best foot forward* You really enliven our Spanish journey Thank you so much teacher
Dr Danny Evans sir is a great man he is so good its really very easy to learn Spanish first I used to learn it with apps which teach Spanish later I found this. This tutor is very helpful please dont stop uploading videos. I was literally waiting that when your new video is going to come and it is finally here thanks Danny for helping me so much. Love from India
Todavía estoy un principiante en español pero estudiar cada dia y quiero a aprender más de la idioma. Gracias por enseñarme con cada leccion y yo voy a continuar aprendiendo.
Thank you for helping me in my spanish, Dr. Evans! You continue to inspire me even though studying Spanish in Asia is hard and expensive. I really appreciate that your lessons are free 💕 Thank you so much sir :) More power to you and stay safe always. More blessings to you and your family.
Since I was a kid,I want to learn Spanish so hard because of my favorite club,Real Madrid. Finally I found your videos in covid-lockdown era. Thank you so much sir. I really appreciate your effort.
Empecé contigo hace un y medio año, y ahora puedo entender El Boxeo Canelo cuando habla su Español. Gracias por todo Profesor. Estaba Trabajando mi Español cada día.
Ok So last night I watched the Spanish numbers video (from this man). I commented there and he liked my comment. Not only is he a great teacher and explains things very well, he also is active and responds to comments all all that stuff. I’ll pass my uni Spanish test because of you! God bless you Sir! All the best!!!
Thank you! I use Duolingo for learning Spanish and this concept was difficult to grasp! I’ve never seen your videos before, but this is so helpful that I’m subscribing for more help!
Wonderful teacher! I love your explanations. Just one little thing: treaty means tratado. El Tratado de Versalles. Thank you professor. I enjoy your lessons so much!.
7:00 I just learned menos for telling time. “Son las dos menos cinco.” (To say it’s 1:55, but by saying it’s 5 mins til 2.) Can anyone confirm if menos is used commonly in this context? ¡Gracias muchas!
Totally! Menos basically means "minus", so saying "Son las dos menos cinco" is like saying "its 2:00 minus 5" (eg. 1:55). There are definitely other contexts of it (in math, "younger brother" = el hermano menor, etc.)
Dr Danny I’ve hit the intermediate plateau and I’m really struggling to know what I haven’t learned yet. Can you do a lesson on more advanced/lesser common but mandatory verbs? Hopefully what I’m saying makes sense..
I’d like to point out that “menos+adjective+que” is mostly used when the adjective is offensive or has a negative connotation. For example. “Yo soy menos idiota que tú” is a better sentence than saying “tu eres más idiota que yo”. Because using the second form, I imply that I’m an idiot too.
I am a native speaker of Spanish and highly educated. The "menos... que" is used a lot. Yes, the tendency is to use "más... que" more often, but "menos... que" is used much more than you are claiming here. In polite speech people tend to use "menos... que" to avoid being too categorical about people's qualities.
Muchas gracias. I have a question about a different topic , I've noticed that in some sentences like this "eres maestro" there isn't an a like in English. How would I know when to include un in spanish? Again I can't thank you enough for these lessons becoming bilingüe is a fantastic thing. Gracias.
Sí, cierto, profe, "mayor" y "menor" se usa como older and younger respectively, but in certain contexts we can say "más joven que" and "más viejo que" (I know, limited contexts).
Ayayay, profe, que no es el "Trato de Versalles", sino el "Tratado de Versalles". Te sigo con todas tus lecciones y se las pongo a mis estudiantes de tarea, pero en esta me estás fallado un pelín. 🤣
My friend is like my father- mi amigo es como mi padre. China is as big as the USA. China es tan grandé como los Estados Unidos. I am smarter than my sister. Soy mas inteligente que miá hermana.

15:14 The correct spelling is "youngest" not "younguest". Maybe he is influenced by Spanish orthography.
Great lesson. I learned a lot. FYI spelling error at 15:13 No soy tan intligente como tu. You taught me that :)

Again I can't thank you enough for these lessons becoming bilingüe is a fantastic thing. Gracias.
If someone does something for work then we don’t use the “the” or “a” in Spanish. Solo eres artista. Not eres una artista
To add to that, you usually would use “un/una” when including an adjective after the profession. Such as, Él es un maestro bueno vs Él es maestro.
Sí, cierto, profe, "mayor" y "menor" se usa como older and younger respectively, but in certain contexts we can say "más joven que" and "más viejo que" (I know, limited contexts).
Yayyyy!!! Another video!!!
What software do you use for editing?
Adobe
"youngest" not "younguest" at 16:06
They are human.
You know something funny? I am practicing my listening in english in a learning spanish video when i am a spanish native
will you do a podcast episode on this same topic one day like you used to do before? 🥺🥺 we need more practice, always!!! 😄
Ayayay, profe, que no es el "Trato de Versalles", sino el "Tratado de Versalles". Te sigo con todas tus lecciones y se las pongo a mis estudiantes de tarea, pero en esta me estás fallado un pelín. 🤣
Would like a refresher on haber
Sir Danny can please make an explanation video to where to put the adverb
Sir, please make short videoes of spanish please
Eres el maestro de español más mejor del mundo.
I never use comparative in Spanish because comoarison is the greatest thief of joy. Just kidding. Great lesson
感谢。
Is a subtle issue. Thanks. A spelling mistake on "younguest".
Profe, "tu explicación es menos importante que la mía" (there you go, with "menos something que") 😂
Can you explain me why "mi casa es" but "tu casa está". Why don't "tu case es" ?
That must’ve been a typo
Tu casa es, is actually correct
I think you mean (the article + adjective + más) instead of (the article + más + adjective). Your examples say so. Please clarify.
I don’t understand my brain hurts lol
You've got this!
Como esta usted?
Como yo or mí?
My friend is like my father- mi amigo es como mi padre.
China is as big as the USA. China es tan grandé como los Estados Unidos.
I am smarter than my sister. Soy mas inteligente que miá hermana.
Close
“Grande” doesn’t have an accent mark on the “e”
It’s “mi,” not “mía”
There is no ketchup on the table.
Tal chico es mucho menos inteligente que tal otro.
you explain it well, but the structure of the video needs improving
