Elizabeth giles is an amazing choice for meg because not only could she perfectly embody the character but she has an amazing voice that fits right in the range that meg sings in. Perfect.
While I think she’ll be great, she’s a little too young for Chris Pratt. So I think a good alternative casting would be Krysten Ritter. You don’t need to look further than her role as Jessica Jones and Jane in Breaking Bad to know she’d nail Meg. She gives a lot of sarcasm like Meg and has an “I-don’t-have-time-for-this.”, attitude we need. Also, Meg is a character who has trust issues towards men, which would work as you compare to Ritter’s role in Jessica Jones. This would be a great to develop on that area much more.

Yeah, but the ethnic backdrop of Classical Greece was noticeably whiter than it is today. Not like Scandinavian white, but it was honestly pretty ethnically diverse. And I don't think it's as big a deal as actually casting Arabs and Asians. It is still western Europe, not a different continent.

Great video man, really nice choices. Here there are my choices: Hercules: Sam Heughan Phil: Zach Galifianakis Pain-Panic: Jonah Hill and michael Cera Meg: Kaya Scodelario Zeus: Kurt Russell Hades: Glenn Howerton
Elizabeth Gillies has always been my only choice for a live-action Meg. I've seen people cast Ariana Grande but that doesn't really make sense ( not to mention her voice is a little too high pitched for Meg, while Liz Gillies has a more subdued singing voice ).
I like Emma Watson (about the only problem is Emma can't really sing, but that can be solved by just cutting the relevant song, or even giving Hercules the Mulan treatment and making it a non-musical.)
This was really well done, but the live-action Disney casting I want to see from you is definitely “Hunchback of Notre Dame”! My humble suggestions: Charlie Heaton as Quasimodo (alternate, Harry Treadway), Zendaya as Esmeralda (alternate, Jade Chynoweth), Ben Mendelssohn as Frollo (alternate, Linus Roache), Alexander Ludwig as Phoebus (alternate, Bradley James), Giancarlo Esposito as Clopin (alternate, Lin-Manuel Miranda), & Jim Carter as the Archdeacon (alternate, Patrick Page).

You know what your casting is amazing and I reeeeaaaaally hope they keep Pain and Panic in the live action... It would be such a shame if they didn't but I can see reasons why it would happen...
While I adore Greek mythology and agree for a cartoon Hercules is amazing, it is a little sad how rarely the cast in these movies look Greek. The cartoon took a lot of liberties but I mean, the muses definitely payed homage to The Supremes so never bothered me, but I would be curious to see if a live adaptation kept the same liberties or tried to stay more true to the time and setting for a more serious route.
I can't see Holland as adult Herc physically, yeah he's fit, but I can't see him as "big", but I totally see it from the acting alone. Dinklage might actually be perfect though.
I agree with imakebaddecisions, I think Peter Dinklage would be perfect. He’s an incredible actor, and he can be funny with his sarcasm from Elf, Avengers and his serious side from GOT. Acting wise Tom Holland could be a good choice. But one thing is that he doesn’t stand tall enough for a character like Hercules. He’s small and lean. Perfect to play Spider-Man. But I think we need a Method actor who will be skinny first and then build insane muscle. Maybe Liam Hemsworth.
I do like the choice of Michael Keaton as Hades, although I'd personally choose Glenn Howerton. Dennis Reynolds is basically a not kid friendly Hades anyway, and his experience with It's Always Sunny would really help him sell the more comedic bits.
Heres a list to choose from sure there's more with Humans or CGI Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Princess and the Frog, Brave, Up, Snow White and the seven dwarfs
I wish the actors you chose for these fan casting are relatively unknown( but I do like Elizabeth Gillies as meg)i wish someone way younger for Hercules who can really sing the iconic song i can go the distance.

Nailed it with this one. If you haven’t already, it would be cool to see a recast of the already-released Disney movies that weren’t so good, like beauty and the beast in particular. It’s my favorite Disney movie as a kid but I thought the live was terrible and I couldn’t get through it.
imo Daniel Sharman would be a great Hercules! He definitely has the range for it! The only issue is he is veryyy white, so if disney were to go with someone greek my opinion would be very different!
For Hercules, I think it's more between David Corenswet and Theo James that could pull it off instead of Pratt. Both have everything in the bag. And can sing too.

@@osmanyousif7849 What are you talking about, I think Natalie is too old for the role. Ideally, we'd want people in their twenties or maybe thirties (if they can pull it off) for Herc and Meg. Natalie and Kristen are almost 40.
I notice in most recasting videos that very rarely do people actually cast siblings in the roles of siblings even though there are plenty of sibling actors in Hollywood or at the very least using Cousins.
Hercules - Taron Edgerton. Meg - Arianna Grande. Zeus - Kurt Russell. Hades - David Tennant, Stanley Tucci or Michael Sheen. Phil - Josh Gad. The Muses - Jennifer Hudson, Lizzo, Keke Palmer, Janelle Monae, & Audra McDonald. Pain & Panic - Key & Peele. The Fates - Tina Fey, Amy Poehler & Maya Rudolph.
I totally get why you are casting Chris Pratt, but to me he feels just too old. In this movie Hercules is supposed to be 18-19 right? He is just becoming a man.
What about Bob Odenkirk as Hades?? I feel like he could pull off the quirky side of him very well and he has been shown to pull off the menacing “don’t fuck with me” attitude too

Wow I mean wow your cat tear like I can totally see Giamatti as fill I can totally see Chris Pratt as Hercules so I'm curious as to who you would cast as the younger Hercules and Michael Keaton as Hades oh my word he would give James Woods run for his money and probably outshine him because he is amazing and oh my goodness just Disney need to make this happen this would be absolutely mind-blowing#Michael Keaton for Hades
This might be your best cast yet. Well done!
Next, fan cast a live action 101 Dalmatians!
Hercules- Tom Holland
Phil- Peter Dinklage
I love your choices as well
I can't see Holland as adult Herc physically, yeah he's fit, but I can't see him as "big", but I totally see it from the acting alone.
Zac Efron as Hercules.
@@anubusx Congratulations,you get a cookie !
@@dickgrayson2878
Cheers!!!!
I do like the choice of Michael Keaton as Hades, although I'd personally choose Glenn Howerton. Dennis Reynolds is basically a not kid friendly Hades anyway, and his experience with It's Always Sunny would really help him sell the more comedic bits.
Michael Keaton as Hades is amazing and the only casting I will accept now lol
Keaton as Hades would be amazing, I just can’t imagine anyone else in the role, at least in the Disney version.
*Starts talking about Phil
Me: Danny DeVito!
*Says Danny DeVito is too old and unlikely
Me: Paul Giamatti!
*Nailed it*
You know, Christopher Walken would also be interesting in the role of Hades.
You wanna go younger, darker, charming, and theatrical with Hades, I think Rami Malek would be a dream cast.
I think that "younger" is not something that Hades should be
@@TheFranciscoFm Yeah, I don't like all the castings that go fro an attractive Hades. He should be slimy and weird, not handsome.
I was thinking Robert Downey Jr, actually.
I always thought that Zendaya would be Perfect as Meg. She sings amazing, and i think that she would do Great in the role.
I almost went there (especially since I like Tom Holland as Hercules), but I didn't since I think Meg should be somewhat older than Hercules.
What about Krysten Ritter? Has the same tone for Meg, and is just a few years younger than Pratt.
Ari is getting the role. Zendaya can play someone else
I would be better
@@osmanyousif7849 too old
Heres a list to choose from sure there's more with Humans or CGI Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Princess and the Frog, Brave, Up, Snow White and the seven dwarfs
I wish the actors you chose for these fan casting are relatively unknown( but I do like Elizabeth Gillies as meg)i wish someone way younger for Hercules who can really sing the iconic song i can go the distance.
While I think Gillies will be great, she’s a little too young for Chris Pratt.
The only issue is he is veryyy white, so if disney were to go with someone greek my opinion would be very different!
honestly i dont think i could think of anyone better than Jeff Bridges to play the light-hearted, almost goofballish nature of zues in hercules.
Wow, you're magnificent !!! That's an amazing cast. Chris Pratt as Hercules, man I'm sold xD
I actually think the choices are very good! Still, for Pain and Panic I would love to see Simon Pegg and Nick Frost take on those roles:)
Could you please do something similar to this, for Disney Atlantis?
i love it when you present other good choices
i literally screamed yes when Liz gillies popped up on the screen
For Hercules, I think it's more between David Corenswet and Theo James that could pull it off instead of Pratt. Both have everything in the bag. And can sing too.
I was thinking Natalie Dormer for Meg but Elizabeth Giles feels even better
That makes 2 of us.
While I think she’ll be great, she’s a little too young for Chris Pratt. So I think a good alternative casting would be Krysten Ritter. You don’t need to look further than her role as Jessica Jones and Jane in Breaking Bad to know she’d nail Meg. @@osmanyousif7849 What are you talking about, I think Natalie is too old for the role. Ideally, we'd want people in their twenties or maybe thirties (if they can pull it off) for Herc and Meg. Natalie and Kristen are almost 40.
@@thogthemighty7960 ty for this
There's a Swedish band called 'The Mamas'. They'd be perfect as the Muses.
Treasure Planet would be interesting! It would be a cool live action (if Disney paid it any attention).
Bob Odenkirk would make an amazing Hades in my opinion
Ooh! Ok, he's the only great alternative I've seen anyone list, great choice!
I notice in most recasting videos that very rarely do people actually cast siblings in the roles of siblings even though there are plenty of sibling actors in Hollywood or at the very least using Cousins.
Bryan Seeker would you consider recasting Narnia and Eragon? :)
Since Invincible is popular rn and they are making a live-action movie, it would be cool if you made a video on it.
Hercules - Taron Edgerton.
Meg - Arianna Grande.
Zeus - Kurt Russell.
Hades - David Tennant, Stanley Tucci or Michael Sheen.
Phil - Josh Gad.
The Muses - Jennifer Hudson, Lizzo, Keke Palmer, Janelle Monae, & Audra McDonald.
Pain & Panic - Key & Peele.
The Fates - Tina Fey, Amy Poehler & Maya Rudolph.
Future videos-the Chronicles of Narnia and the final two seasons of The Crown.
Would love it if you could Fan cast for the Michael Vey book series like you did for Percy Jackson
I totally get why you are casting Chris Pratt, but to me he feels just too old. In this movie Hercules is supposed to be 18-19 right? He is just becoming a man.
Exactly what I said
What about Bob Odenkirk as Hades?? I feel like he could pull off the quirky side of him very well and he has been shown to pull off the menacing “don’t fuck with me” attitude too
Please make an Invincible fancast!
Please do one for Hunchback of Notre Dame, that would needs to be done justice.
Let's hope Disney can manage to at least cast a few Greek or just mediterranean area actors!!
