Hello? Watch your videos. I was wondering I know you would be. The man ..putting a 2014 911 motor and 1979 911 s c. Is it too much work to be done?@@rennch.
Subaru EZ30R runs at high oil pressure, your best bet to reduce the oil going into the turbo, and blow by, is get a Oil Pressure Regulator and set it at 44.5-45PSI for the turbo oil feed lines if you haven't already. Common practice for us Aussies with Turbo EZ30s xD
What a noise! That drink was well deserved. Keep up the good work, Michael. How this channel doesn't have 100k subscribers I have no idea. One of the best ones on here. High 🖐🏾 from the UK.
IMHO the coolest part is that didn’t sound like a Subaru engine, it sounds like an angry Cayman. Also IMHO, you should change the oil a few times more than just the regular break in changes, and be sure no remaining bits of paper towel are in the oil. That would suck if paper towel clogged oil galleries and starved parts of vital oil.
DUDE! What sweet sounds! Congrats! I think that white smoke from the exhaust was the paper towels being exorcised from the engine 😄 BTW…couldn’t help but notice…those rear tires on the Grey Ghost are GINORMOUS!
I have been waiting a long time to hear that noise! It sounds like a 935! Congrats! I can't wait to see a video of a dyno run and ultimately watching you drive it. Keep going!
I've followed this build since day one, your first video. Wow, that sounds great! Congrats on sticking to your plan. I'm a fan of both Porsche and Turbo Subarus, having owned a few examples of each.
Mike - Great video. So glad you are riding this high following your last 12+ months of crazy train in your personal life. Makes it all worth it. Hope it all drowns that life out when you hit 7000 RPM
Blue painters tape, thats what I use for leaving myself notes and putting on things that need attention. Before starting or driving something for the first time I check for any tape and what part its on. Wait a minute...did Jeff send you a pair of pants? Those look really familiar!
Mike, that sounds fu**ing BADASS! Congratulations man!!!!!! Very inspring video, I bet you're well pleased with this milestone!! It sounds ridiculous and so funny tohear the same starter as i have on my 22 year old outback R. HILARIOUS!!!! So cool man!!!!!!!!
Sweet sound, long time coming. Should be great on the twisty turnies. I am inspired, so I am going out to drive my Porsche 968 convertible. Nice job. Lots of fab work.
Looks and sounds sick mate. Congrats on the progress and sharing your build with us! Did one of the turbos suck one in? i was waiting for something to appear from out of shot, and get sucked in. I was one of the first to do a registered wrx beetle after only doing big aircooled motors. I fully understand how much thought, engineering and time is spent as you progress from one idea or solution to a better one, then finding your self back at the first design, as it was the optimal one from the beginning. Next thing for me, was reverse engineering the design, so you can access all bolts and serviceable parts. You shouldn't have to pull half the car apart to change the plugs, or get to a hose clamp that you put on the wrong way for future access.
I once tried to start a car with the flywheel lock in place after replacing the timing belt. Luckily, I'd forgotten to connect the battery and, while I did so, I remembered the flywheel lock.
Any chance of stealing the header design for a N/A application? I have a 05 subaru liberty/ legacy where these ez30r's came factory and would love my car to sound like that - minus the turbo noises

Guys, if you could help me grow my channel by subscribing, it would be huge for me! Thank you!
It's just one click guys. Help the man out!

kudos for not editing out the paper towel fiasco. I think in your place I wouldn't have owned up to that.
Yeah, it's part of the story!

Definitely on the list, thank you.
Well deserved drink! Your old man is smiling in heaven!🙏
OUTSTANDING sound Mike. That was a lot of work to be sure but so worth it.

From your mouth to God's ears.
The sound under load will be much deeper. I bet it's even better than free rev.
One of my top 2 TH-cam channels by far! Great work Michael. We need to get you more subscribers.
I have been watching from day 1. Congratulations from Sydney. Australia. Amazing feat with passion and drive ❤

Oh for sure on the oil.
Sweat baby Jesus, this twin turbo EZ30 sounds amazing! Can’t wait to hear it on the street…
Bravo!
It Sounds ABSOLUTLY FREAKING AWESOME. Congrats man
this is way cool dude! you need to finish and take it for a drive.
if you leave paper towels in the intake, you can drive it without the intercooler.
DUDE! What sweet sounds! Congrats! I think that white smoke from the exhaust was the paper towels being exorcised from the engine 😄 BTW…couldn’t help but notice…those rear tires on the Grey Ghost are GINORMOUS!
its a mini green hulk sporting ketamine and ozempic !! 😆
the ez30r puts glue down in low rpms too
It sounds great Mike... can't wait to see it on the road

Great milestone. Getting closer now.
What a great video, I recognize myself missing a lot of things like tightening all the AN fittings. Have a glass from me. Fantastic execution.
Holy hell that sounds angry!!! Well done hermano!!!
Thank you!
Well done Michael. The most satisfying part of a build and you nailed it.

Wait a minute...did Jeff send you a pair of pants? Those look really familiar!
Sounds great!! I have a 2.5 L Subaru engine ready for my car- this motivated me to get off my can and work on it.
Keep up the good work! Watching from Sweden with no intention of owning an old Porsche, just enjoying your progress! Great content!
Fantastic. And what a soundtrack. Enjoy the fruits of your labour (and the tequila)!
Sounds awesome!!! Hope the cooling system works well still haven’t got to test mine yet. I’ll get there one day
Sounds beautiful!
That will be amazing in a tunnel at WFO!

Sounds kickass - would make a great ringtone 😊
Well done, the engine sounds great. This is a huge milestone and it reignites the fire to complete this build. Good work.
Absolutely stoked for you mate, a long time coming but worth the wait 👍🙂
Sweet sound, long time coming. Should be great on the twisty turnies. I am inspired, so I am going out to drive my Porsche 968 convertible. Nice job. Lots of fab work.
This sounds fucking amazing. Wow. What a journey with a satisfying payoff. Congrats, man.

Sounds great! Congrats on another huge step closer to the end

Excellent video! Sounds great, looking forward to the day we have this and the k24 911 on the same drive!
Let's go! Are you in LA?
@@rennch. Sure am! Up in the Van Nuys airport area!
Just wondering what turbos you are running and when you plan to put it on the dyno/drive the darn thing.
I want to put this engine in my 914GT
Congrats, sounds amazing!
congrats!
Hell yeah.
Super cool!
Love it 👍🏻
You will need a scavenge pump for those turbos, Otherwise that thing will smoke and blow oil!
Any chance of stealing the header design for a N/A application?
I have a 05 subaru liberty/ legacy where these ez30r's came factory and would love my car to sound like that - minus the turbo noises
What transmission are you using? And what are your Total Hp goals with twin turbos
Porsche G96 (996) trans. Shooting for just over 400hp
Dude. Im always afraid Im gunna leave these towels in. Way too easy to forget. gotta get those little plates that bolt on
Take a shot every time he says "holly Shit"
We'll all be drunk!
Decent
u need good oil management from the turbos..
I'm aware of that, as I mentioned in the video. What do you suggest?
You need to pump the oil off from the Reservoirs and add a vent to a catch can
@@konradnee844 correct. As I stated in a video.
Great work man! Know exactly how you feel, i finished a similar Project a few weeks ago.
Michael Michael Michael......we don't need to say it do we.
But sounds AWWWEESOME with a capital O
PS: Whos the cute blonde ;-)
If that doesn't give you a push to get this on the road, nothing will.
🍺👏👍🏻
Not the smartest move too spool your turnos without load
It's alive !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
