Joby Carter is an incredible traditional signwriter. He did all of the vehicles, most of the rides, and he does signwriting courses for the public in the off season. Not a lost art - and just like the old vehicles and machinery they run - Carters are keeping it alive. Props to them.

I love fair rides
It's nice to see a documentary showing the painstaking efforts Anna and her family and team go to, but a shame it's centred too much around the giggly presenters mucking about with their "all about us" attitudes, and this is clear to see from the irritation shown in Anna's face at times! It really needs a more sincere approach from good presenters with genuine enthusiasm.
Good luck to Anna and the Carters fairground and long may they continue to keep these beautiful machines in the UK where they belong for us all to enjoy, before all our English heritage disappears forever.

It's a shame that they can't be in the US. The weather is better and more consistent year round. They could travel all year round if they wanted to and find areas of the country that are warm. If they wanted to close down for the winter they could pick a warm area like California where they could repaint and repair in nicer weather. There's such a huge nostalgia aspect here. And there are no congestion charges. I'd never heard of that. That's bullshit! Not sure about the damage deposits but there are permits and licensees and insurance. It would certainly be a hit here.
