If you’re looking to connect your new machine and reading all these negative comments, don’t despair! I just connected my washer/dryer first time and it works perfectly
After the app is installed turn the dial on the machine to the app symbol/ remote setting. Turn blue tooth on in the washing machine settings and on the phone. Then press the blue tooth symbol on the washing machine one more time and another blue tooth symbol appears above the first on the display. The remote is now on.
once you connect your device with your phone you'll see the remote control icon being OFF. To switch it on turn the knob to (on my washing + dryer machine htv8736xs0) the program called "downloaded program with the bluetooth icon" and press the bluetooth button. That should do the job
@@jo.b5829 doesnt work to turn on remote. all pressing the bluetooth button again does is lock the door. think it depends on the device u have as the homewhiz app doesnt work with all settings on some devices. IE it wont work with washer/dryers and none listed to add even though mine has the homewhiz label on it. Its either a washer or a dryer u cant use it on washer/dryers.

I really don’t understand why you don’t make it so so much easier with QR code???!! To be honest it was so complicated for me to connect! Specially on the end with OFF remote control 😡 Don’t you think it will be easier for customers if you put just to press Bluetooth button again??? Come on remote control, really… and it should be logical what it is 🤯For next products please use QR code .

This is how my home automation system (Domoticz) is setup right now; A DIY sensor is looking for the 'finished' light of my 15 year old washing machine. When that light comes on, My domoticz system (home network) sends me a push notification on my phone.. no mather where I am
@@Moccalocca100 Like I said, Domoticz for home automation. I programmed a Wemos D1 boardwith a light sensor connected to it, to wacht the status light on the machine. The push message is sent with PushOver from within Domoticz
It takes longer to connect and set the washing cycle trough the app then just turning the knob and setting it. App has exactly the same programs as the knob itself- so why would I want to go through a hassle of connecting it to washing machine and pressing all the buttons just so the app give me exact same washing options as the knob on the washer in front of me. Absolute waste of time. HomeWhiz app collects all of your data including your location at all times (if you turn that option off- it will not allow you to use the app)- why on earth would a washing machine need my location to be operated??? It’s a data collection app- nothing else… Don’t bother to download

Only a bluetooth connection? so you have to be near the machine? Not very useful then imho.. So it can't notify me when a program has completed..
