I've had this Biko washing machine for a few months but haven't got to grips with all the variations in wash programmes. This video is fantastically helpful and will help me to choose the programmes and additional facilities more intelligently. Thank you!
I had a Beko 6kg machine for 12 years and eventually the bearing packed in. I now have this same reviewed Beko 8kg machine 1400rpm. I can confirm it seems worthy. After a week or so of use, nothing unusual to report. Build quality seems fair to good. Fairly sturdy construction, seals and drum seem high grade. As per lifespan of machine, only time will tell. I have had Beko machines before and never had less than 6 years out of them. Only thing I don't like is the LCD display but it's no huge deal. Cost around £340 delivered in UK. I did a load at 40 degrees using oxiwash at 1400rpm on fast+ mode, took 27min. The pump is very quiet and powerful. It fills with water in no time and starts cycle very quickly. The motor is very powerful and nicely calibrated. It does vibrate a bit substantially at 1400rpm but I have not done any proper balancing yet. Certainly a worthwhile option if you are looking for a washing machine.
Thanks for sharing. Our ten-year-old Indesit has finally given up the ghost. I have been looking at alternatives that don't need Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, internal lights, or any other daft extras. The model I've more or less decided to purchase is the 10kg variant of this model. I have a relative who owns the model in your review, and it has performed flawlessly. Your review has helped make the decision to purchase the Beko over the alternative Samsung model that I looked at. Much obliged for the informative review.
One thing I found confusing at first is the on and off switch. To a new person it means to switch the machine on, when in fact to switch the machine on is the start button and not the on off button. On off button is on or off for that special program you have selected. If that is wrong, please someone put me right on this one. Thank you I intend to do my first wash today. Fingers crossed.
Thank you for this. Received my machine this morning really impressed with it apart from the operating instructions hence I searched TH-cam and found you thank goodness. Well done!
Brilliant. Thanks for clear concise explanation. Our last Beko was 12years old and basic compared to this. I was confused re doing calibration load in leaflet I pressed required buttons and instead of 15 mins in book it displayed 2.38 hrs !!!
Just got this model on Wednesday and used it for the first time on Friday I was very pleased with the wash but didn’t know you could press the switches down below to decrease or increase the temperature etc .Thanks for your demonstration it was very useful looking forwards to using my machine in the the next two days
Thank you soooooo much. That little blue tag thing in the detergent dispenser had come loose in my newly installed Beko. Beko has nothing in its manual or website (or even spare parts) that explained what it was for or how it should be fitted. There was something in the manual supplied but it looked completely different to the one in my machine and had a diagram that meant nothing to a layman. Google provided zero help. Your explanation and demonstration is excellent. Found on TH-cam. Tbf, I was getting seriously frustrated until I found your video. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I bought BEKO 8kg this year. It’s very economical in water, which I’m not so happy about. There’s still detergent residue left in the last rinse, therefore I always use the 3rd rinse for quick program. Be careful when you wash flanel and thick synthetic clothes, it won’t spin at all. I have no problems with older Zanussi model (5 kg) which has no balancing program. It will spin happily and it still does after 15 years.
This is normally an indication that you are putting too much detergent in the machine if there is residue left at the ened of the program. Try reducing it, and hopefully you will get the same washing results, reduced cost of detergent and also no residue left at the end of the program.
Clear helpful instructions thanks ...hopefully now i will be able to understand my machine and why it keeps pausing during the wash for such a long time. I think choosing the temperature settings and spin speed is maybe where i am going wrong ...we'll see 🤞🤞
Normally in the drum so it can dissolve properly. Sometimes with tablets if it is in the drawer it may not dissolve properly especially if it is put on a low temperature wash.
Brilliant video, just purchased this machine and couldn’t get to grips with the horrible instruction book. But your video has been fab if I hadn’t of seen it I’d of never known what the machine can do! Thankyou 👍
While your video was running, I looked at my Beko 7kg wash no blue plastic thing in the soap dispenser. I can't recall if it ever came with one. If I had of spotted it in the manual or in the soap tray It would have got me wondering what it was
Really helpful video thank you. There are so many model numbers and machines that are similar at first glance. Is there video for the WTK94121W 9kg as well somewhere as also considering this model
I just got one of these - anyone know if it needs to be load 'calibrated'. The documentation isn't clear... If it does need calibrating the documentation isn't clear as to how to actually do it... A demo would be good (if it applies)
These machines don't need to be calibrated. As long as the machine is level and the transit bolts have been taken out then once the water, waste and electric are connected you should be ready to go.
Ok, thanks. It's confusing because the instructions include info about calibration via the drum clean program but it wasn't clear (to me!). Now I just have to try and fix why the drain is backing up the sink! It does slowly-ish drain away at the end of the drain cycle but each time it's coming dangerously close to the the top of the kitchen sink...@@lords-electrical
Many many thanks, how long would expect this model to last , I know many factors involved but with one weekly wash at low temps and quick cycle? Many thanks in advance Cheers Glen
This is always the golden question and really difficult to answer. If you get around 4-5 years out of a Beko machine then that would be considered average i would say. Other brands like Bosch or Siemens i would expect to get longer like 7-8 years.
Apparently the 1400 isn’t great on this machine ? and you confirm on the drum clean can u add washing machine cleaner to it ? And the mix fabrics i use the mixed load mainly on my current washing machine so on this one you can only have 3kg ?
Hi there I’ve just got a BEKO WEC840522W, which is slightly different interface. Can you advise on a setting for a normal one hour wash at 40 or 30? I can’t seem to figure it out at all! They’re all either really long or not at the right temps for what I’m looking for in my ‘everyday’ wash, so to speak!
Great vid, i recently bought one brand new. It washes but then doesent do the spin and drain function. I have to turn it off. Then drain the water with the drainage line at the front. Any idea why its doing this? Ive removed all the travel plugs, polystyrene etc from it. Please can you help . Many thanks
Drum clean is a dedicated program to try and maintain the machine and is normally just to run the initial wash without any clothes in the machine on a hot wash. I would normally select a quick wash option if the machine doesn't have the Drum clean program
Thank you for this informative video. We received our Beko yesterday but there no instructions etc to enable me to get to know the machine properly. Anyway I went on line and found this very good all round in from you.
I had no idea that there was an anti crease and a fast plus option, too. Neither did I know that there was a specific programme for washing the drum. I have to clean my washing machine around once a fortnight to three weeks, and I use a regular wash at 90. Also I only found out that you flipped up the plastic part in the detergent drawer for powder, a few months ago and I have had the machine for over a year now. Is this the case also for Vanish powder, where I put it with washing liquid with the plastic part flipped down? Vanish powder tends to ruin the machine as does certain items. Can Beko granules also be poured into the detergent drawer with the plastic part down? Also are Beko granules bought from Amazon as good as the ones bought directly from the company? It is really sad that engineers who have been sent round for technical issues have had to explain things to me and still I didn’t receive complete information. I don’t recall receiving any instruction manual with this. Also I am vulnerable and have a disability so need the extra care which I don’t get.
What was the dial you pointed out ( under the clock display you said they ran outta space ) you never said what is was ? (( watching on my phone so small screen ) thanks
Really useful video, thank you. Mine, in black, is being delivered this Friday so was keen to get some tips up front. Very informative and in depth video. Thanks. 👍
Im using Beko wx742430s. This is so helpful because i dont understand how yo use those buttons. I usually put my beko with Mix fabrics but after washing the clothes, the stains won't remove 😢, again i dont know why it shakes and dance around if not hold on, it hurts.
It may help to use a longer cotton program if the stains in your clothes are not removed fully. If its shaking around during the cycle, just make sure the machine is level and that all of the transit bolts have been removed as that could damage the machine if it hasn't been installed correctly.
thanks for explaining everything, we have one problem with our washing machine, this model: WUX61032W-IT. we put Liquid detergent but there is no any trace of it during washing. and after that, we cannot smell it on our clothes. It seems this machine does not wash clothes with Liquid Detergent, only water. could you please tell us what should we do.
Are you putting the detergent in the drawer or the drum? If you are putting it in the drawer then i would recommend putting it in the drum directly. At least you can guarantee it will have the detergent in for the start of the wash.
Check the waste hose isn't blocked. Also is it a full load in the machine. If it is too small a load then it could be the fact it will not distribute the load so cannot spin properly
Can anyone advise how to open the filter to clean the filter located in bottom right hand side? I know where it is but neither myself, the fellow who installed the machine nor the shop where I bought it, understand how to pry that open in order to clean it out.
The machine will just take longer to wash and the performance of the wash may not be as good as if you were to use a program that is designed for a larger capacity.
Can someone please help me. I have this machine it’s only two years old and it keeps getting stuck in the lock mode. I’ve drained the filter and plugged out by the mains and it’s still locked.
My mum's washer is beko..it washes perfectly but there are somethings annoying about it..the first one..it spends alot of time to balance the load..for example about 15-20min although you can not see any imbalanced tumbling..i can be sure that i've never seen that it spins at the first attempt even if you put same size cloths and full load in the machine..the other thing is it's 2min pause to unlock the door..i've never realized why some companie's washers doors unlock a year after nding the cycle..that 2 mins is really as long as a year😁
The lock at the end can be frustrating especially if you are waiting to get the clothes out, but if it is taking a long time to balance the load, then it may be worth trying to put more clothes in when doing the washing. This can help to balance the load quicker.
