    I had sepsis while I was three months pregnant. Was on strong antibiotics with three hospital day. Luckily, I got healed but sadly lost the baby. May the Lord give strength to him

      ​@MR-xc3sw stop blaming it on that! God, I have had four of the shots (boosters included) and am healthy as a horse. Thanks to that and as well as wearing a mask and isolating to this day, never caught covid. Haven't even caught the flu.

    this man is incredible! he is extremely brave and he thinks some people are going through worse situations. what he is going through is beyond peoples nightmares. my heart goes out to him and his family. i wish him the best of luck going forward!

      I was thought to have a staff infection in one arm (recovered from it thankfully) but I remember telling my family to let me die rather than have my arm amputated if it came to that.

    Sepsis is horrible. Almost lost my mum to it. She called me and was unable to stand up, instead of wasting 2 hours driving to her, I sent an ambulance. They quickly got her to hospital and she fought sepsis for a week. Did not lose any limbs, but it was a hard fight. So thankful to the techs and doctors that saved her.

    I've had neutropenic septacaemia at the same time as having cancer treatment and was in hospital for 5 weeks. I really hope this MP fights for NHS funding and support for disabled people

      Ctly my thoughts. They've been working so hard for so long to run it into the ground (although I don't know where this guy has personally stood on these issues), but they've literally saved his life. Someone mentioned he's going back to work, so hopefully he'll be working against the party norm for these issues.

      NHS received over £220 billion in the last 12 months so i don't know how much more taxes need to be spent to "make it work" but it appears throwing money at the NHS simply does not work

    I developed sepsis 5 years ago. I had the rigors etc. It went undiagnosed but luckily I was put on mega strong antibiotics for 8 weeks as they thought I had a prostate infection. In can happen very quickly. Poor bloke.

      @user-et7hb8kv8p I honestly cannot remember. One lot was to help the muscles relax, and the second lot, which I took for 6 to 8 weeks was strong stuff which I think is also used to treat malaria. It turned out to be a pilonidal sinus cyst that had become infected but not noticed by the many doctors who saw me. 2 years later it reared its head and I had surgery. My body went through a lot and it has never really been the same since. It was frightening.

    I live in Thanet and have seen Craig around town all I can say is what a brave man to show this , I had the very early signs of sepsis thankfully it was caught in time all I can say is good luck for your future Craig.

    Mackinley consistently voted against disability benefits, welfare and healthcare spending.
    He wasn't remotely interested in the wellbeing of people who were suffering from the kind of problems he has now.

      Our bodies are constantly fighting infections. I hate to say it, but sometimes bad things happen for no reason. (To clarify, sepsis is caused by our bodies improperly fighting an infection, and instead turning on itself.)

    I went through sepsis and was on life support for three weeks, I was in intensive care for nearly 3 months but luckily I didn't lose any limbs, I do suffer from chronic tummy pain but still so lucky to be alive ❤❤❤❤❤

    A very strong video of a brave person. Grateful he has shared this as personally have never seen just exactly what sepsis can do. Unfortunately the Telegraph has failed his efforts by not providing any advice/information about sepsis within this video which would have probably helped educate many!

      @@foxyroxytmsepsis causes extremely low blood pressure. Vasopressors are a medication given to raise BP, however can have the side effect of causing extremities to lose blood supply and die off

      @@foxyroxytm It can happen to anyone, and is caused by an infection that progresses rapidly out of control. Look for changes in a person's face: blueness of nose tip and lips, a feeling of unwellness (extreme fatigue, feverish), and get to hospital ASAP. Person needs oxygen, antibiotics IV, fluids IV, and ICU.

    Vascular digital microclotting leading to gangrenous fingers, toes, limbs.
    Millions worldwide affected similarly to different degrees of injury.

    Wow this man has just inspired me and completely changed something in me.. I’ve been and IV drug user for years, I’m completely blessed upon blessed this hasn’t happened to me! I feel awful for this guy considering all the damage I’ve done to myself.. but he’s made me think differently about my addiction, how lucky I’ve been, and how that needs to stop before something like this happens.. his attitude is also very inspiring, saying there’s worse things people are suffering compared to his situation is very strong of him to think so early on.. he needs to keep on spreading his message ! I wish him a speedy and comfortable recovery with his beautiful family ❤

    It happened to my sister as well. It was caused by dead blood cells after huge dosages of adrenaline was administered for prolonged period of time. We still don’t know what caused the sepsis.

    My mom had sepsis but luckily they caught it in time. She got it because she had a bad kidney infection. Was in the hospital for a couple of weeks and eventually came home. Terrible it got this bad for him. Have a safe healing ❤️

    What an incredibly courageous and strong man. Sense of humour preserved. True inspiration. I had a client contract this 3 weeks ago, by next day at ER and admitted one week. Would have lost his arm or life if I did not get him to hospital. I thought it was serious. We need more education about sepsis risk ❤

    My friend has "suddenly" and I mean suddenly lost the use of one of her legs. All tests come back clear, doctors "baffled" again. She has one thing in common with him though, but hers was a different brand.

    So incredibly sad for him and his family. It's very good he has the financial ability to look after his ongoing care. Let's hope he will now fight to save the NHS from the privatisation plans of his colleagues.

      I so doubt that. Many multi million pound contracts are in the hands of private companies. Now to tie the loose ends up and make it fully private whilst pretending to assist the NHS which is effectively dead in the water sadly.
