I've had neutropenic septacaemia at the same time as having cancer treatment and was in hospital for 5 weeks. I really hope this MP fights for NHS funding and support for disabled people
Ctly my thoughts. They've been working so hard for so long to run it into the ground (although I don't know where this guy has personally stood on these issues), but they've literally saved his life. Someone mentioned he's going back to work, so hopefully he'll be working against the party norm for these issues.
NHS received over £220 billion in the last 12 months so i don't know how much more taxes need to be spent to "make it work" but it appears throwing money at the NHS simply does not work

I developed sepsis 5 years ago. I had the rigors etc. It went undiagnosed but luckily I was put on mega strong antibiotics for 8 weeks as they thought I had a prostate infection. In can happen very quickly. Poor bloke.
@user-et7hb8kv8p I honestly cannot remember. One lot was to help the muscles relax, and the second lot, which I took for 6 to 8 weeks was strong stuff which I think is also used to treat malaria. It turned out to be a pilonidal sinus cyst that had become infected but not noticed by the many doctors who saw me. 2 years later it reared its head and I had surgery. My body went through a lot and it has never really been the same since. It was frightening.

It happened to my sister as well. It was caused by dead blood cells after huge dosages of adrenaline was administered for prolonged period of time. We still don’t know what caused the sepsis.

I did too- luckily caught in good time and only 1 week in hospital then out to face the rest of my cancer treatment.

My friend has "suddenly" and I mean suddenly lost the use of one of her legs. All tests come back clear, doctors "baffled" again. She has one thing in common with him though, but hers was a different brand.
I'm sure it's just coincidental that all of them got the jibby-jabs.

I have had sepsis three times, I had no idea this could happen! Horrible.
So incredibly sad for him and his family. It's very good he has the financial ability to look after his ongoing care. Let's hope he will now fight to save the NHS from the privatisation plans of his colleagues.
I so doubt that. Many multi million pound contracts are in the hands of private companies. Now to tie the loose ends up and make it fully private whilst pretending to assist the NHS which is effectively dead in the water sadly.
