    Your budgies are great. I'm so happy that Jack is doing well; yep, 6 years already; that was when I first started following you. I appreciate that you bring budgies that are lost, or just outside after being released by someone, into your home.

      Thank you so much. 6 years went by fast. I keep checking my feeders and bushes for other budgies as there are so many lost already or have been spotted loose.

    …Thank you for the Budgie video. They have the cutest sounds and behaviors. ☺️ Mine usually live 7 to 12 years. When other people ask me for tips because they can’t get them to live past 2 years, I ask them how often do they change the drinking water, and usually they say once a week. I change the water twice a day, and 3 times if it is over 90 degrees out. I know you change your water, but surprisingly, people don’t empty and wash out and refill the dish frequently enough. 👱🏻‍♀️ 🌷 🐦 💦💙

      Once a week? That's horrible 😞.
      Water is the number one source of bacterial infections for birds. I should make a video about water and birds. Glad you change your often. I change twice or more a day if needed, especially for the birds that dunk their food or bathe in it.

    My favorite kind of parakeet is the white ones. I had one named Snowflake, years ago.

    I glad the birds found outside are in a safe home. I remember when you found Fruitfly and Jack.
    I appreciate the birds name review. 😊

    We have eight Budgies (and two Cockatiels and a Sun Conure). They have a variety of personalities and are so interesting. One of ours is named Thunder, too! Budgies are under-appreciated. I've even met other bird owners who don't take them seriously. As if they are just "starter" birds. Sad.

    They’re beautiful little birds always on the go. I have a few in my aviary too. They get on really well with my Bourke parrots & Turquoise parrots etc. Great video please keep posting them. Thanks 🦜🤗

    Wow, time goes so fast! Nice to see them enjoying the fresh air. I took my cockatiels outside in their travel cage recently and they were scared and thrashed around. I was afraid they might hurt themselves. I'll try again sometime.

      Try putting a light towel or sheet over the sides of the cage until they settle down and they will enjoy the fresh air.

    I ask my budgies if they want a spritz. They seem to know the word. They love it. Yours are beautiful. One of mine has a yellow patch on the back of his head. I think he is a clear flight pied. His flight feathers are white and his body is yellow green. Thanks for this video.❤️

    It baffles me how people just let budgies go (well any bird I guess) I’ve never seen a house bird outside before. But I do get pigeons from time to time that clearly belong to someone as they have bands and bells (so I hear them before I see them 😂) beautiful birds. I have 2 budgies as well. Green and yellow ❤

    • @Loveofpets
      @Loveofpets  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Sadly I have seen TikTok videos of people letting birds go. I try to educate them but they argue with me while the bird suffers. I seen a video where someone bought some budgies and let them go in the parking lot. One got hit by a car. I was fuming.

      There is a misconception that pet birds will find their way to the native habitat of their species. As we know, setting one "free" is actually like setting a pet dog "free".

    • @Loveofpets
      @Loveofpets  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes that's true. Budgies would have a long way to fly to Australia from Canada

    I think it's vitamin deficiency that causes the cere to go brown, if a male. They are all so beautiful though!!!! 🥹❤️

      My vet told me it could be an idiodine deficiency or other vitamin deficiencies.

    Can you do a Video on holding budgies and cockatiels in the Same Cage and the differences between them Both? Due to many people hold them together. I also have 4 budgies and was thinking about getting 2 cockatiels, the Cage is 2 meters long and 1 meter wide so pretty big I Guess :)

    • @anyamarais5504
      @anyamarais5504 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Always best to keep 1 species per cage, unless they will come out most of the day. Species bully eachother if they are in small space together.

    • @GossipSis
      @GossipSis 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@anyamarais5504 yes I tought the Same but people always Tell me otherwise so I am unsure. Maybe I depends on how big the Cage and on how many birds ? :)

      @@GossipSis I agree with @anyamarais5504 . Keep one species in a cage. Our Budgies and Cockatiels are loose together in the bird room for a few hours. They get along, but the Cockatiels seem to appreciate their "quiet time" in the cage before bed. I think they need a break from the Budgie energy.

    Hi, how do you get them in the cage to put them out in your Avery? Can you just grab them thinking of getting it and Avery for outside and just wondering

    • @Loveofpets
      @Loveofpets  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They went into a smaller cage to carry them into the aviary.
