I agree! Nowadays with fashion a lot of people focus on rings, earrings, etc! But how to pair them with the right outfits is something I wanna know a bit more on, as well as how color can be a huge part of fashion!
What I love doing to develop my style is literally going on pinterest saving outfit shapes, pattern, silhouettes, details, and styles that I like based on what I would ACTUALLY wear and what fabrics and cuts I like wearing. Over time, I'm seeing the basic ideas I gravitated towards in the beginning start to build on each other in unique and sophisticated ways and the process gets easier over time. If I gravitate towards a trend it's easy to know if I actually like it or not, and if I don't exactly know that's okay because some element of it always finds a way to build on or inspire me. Even putting in misc. items that match the vibe like food, architecture, objects, and lifestyle helps.
Great video! I know that fashion “rules” are meant to be broken, but “leaving the bottom button on suit jackets undone” aesthetically has always made a lot of sense to me
Bro thank you so much, I'm from Colombia and for me is really inspiring to see a black man talking about fashion. I´m taking notes because refine my style is one of the things that a want to do for me this year. and at the same time, I practice my English whit your videos.
for the jeans, I think Wrangler is often overlooked. Their Cowboy Cut and their "regular" fit are the best fitting pants I own. They can be found second hand for super cheap and they hold up great
Twinkies are full of sugar and my health-conscious mother forbade our older-neighborhood-lady babysitter to give them to me and my sister (in the 1970s). Our elder babysitter regularly defied my mother by giving us twinkies on the regular, because what would a newbie mom like ours know anyway! We loved twinkies then, but the idea makes my stomach churn now because of sugar overload. I love your videos because I have twin teenage sons who only want to wear athletic clothing to the exclusion of anything else including jeans. It's a hard case. Your videos help me alot. I recently spent some $$ with one of your previous video sponsors to help my boys and to my delight I got them each into their own pair of corduroy pants that they put on voluntarily and looked great!! They don't put on anything but running shoes unless they have to, like for a funeral or formal event. My next mission is to get them into some better casual shoes. I had a pair of leather Sebago loafers (I'm female) back in the 80's that I wore to high school. They were my favorite shoes. ❤
I felt so connected throughout the video due to the rawness of thr video like you dropping the ring or zoning out right after keeping the bag. These types of videos are very impactful on me
i really liked this style of video, its nice to hear someone articulate the thoughts and ideas behind their fashion choices and it's really nice that you don't put emphasis on NEEDING to buy certain things. almost makes your content feel less like influencing and more like getting advice from your cool cousin / bro / unc. your fashion tips are very universal and work for a wide variety of people. for the post vid question : yes i've eaten twinkies. as a kid they were alright but i think once i hit the age of 14 all that artificial sugar started to taste really bad, like i became too aware of it.
the way you were able to explain everything so simply and in depth showcases your love for and knowledge of fashion. loved this video and rly wanna learn more about your fashion journey.
Great video! As someone who disliked loafers until recently, I think it's very easy to replace them with a nice looking boot. Still easy to wear every day with jeans or with a full suit. I have a secondhand pair I pull out a lot, but something like Thursday boots or Solovairs.
i personally think that keeping in mind the colors and sizes of your basic wardrobe essentials is crucial because it helps elevate it and make it wearable on a day to day basis
this is one of your best videos to date! you seem much more relaxed and comfortable too. thank you for the helpful tips and budget-friendly alternatives!
Props on your layout and presentation of this video. I find that typically with these longer "fashion guide" videos I tend to skip around and not listen to every single thing someone has to say about each piece. But you did it beautifully, I didn't even notice but by the end I had watched the whole thing without skipping!
Great video, I love Vans old school which represents strong classic street style or AF1 for a little more fresh, and formal, they are also customizable and affordable for me. btw, glasses/eyewear is also a good topic.
I love how as a woman I can literally use the same base that you shared here as a “capsule” to create some awesome fits and get to know my personal style better. Just would add a blouse and a tee instead of a couple tees. Great tips!
I really liked the format of this video! The pacing was really great. Also, I would be super interested in a dedicated video or part of a video to belts. They've been really growing on me lately
Absolutely love this video, very very helpful and i think a video about accessories would be highly appreciated. Especially about rings, how to find them, how to understand which might go with which body tipe, with which fit, with which style, in which situation you should style them, that would be really really appreciated ❤
I really love your mention of the ring as a piece that elevated your style because recently for me it’s the details like rings that get me gassed about my fit
Yes, yes, yes for classics like Bass loafers. And, getting amazing quality loafers or oxfords doesn't have to break the bank. Beautiful heritage brand men's shoes are easy to find in great condition as resale. Better to buy tasteful, well constructed resale than spend the same money on easily spotted cheap fast fashion. Great channel, btw.
I have such a different style preference from you (color, silhouette, fit, etc.) but I still find your content insightful even across styles just because the concepts are so sound and well laid out
Hey Drew just wanna warn you that some people on reddit and styleforum have durability problems with Gucci. As you walk, due to the way the shoe is built you slowly scuff the tip of the toe. The leather is actually scraping off and no amount of shoe polish will fix that. Apparently, the way to fix this is to get them resoled such that the sole sticks out the front a bit, which acts as a shield to the loafer.
I recently picked up a black label ralph lauren vest and a Ralph lauren RLX parka. Not to long ago I picked up a Black Label biker jacket. I'm waiting for my next check I'll be getting a Ralph Lauren Shearling. Before summer ends I need another vest. I feel like what makes an outfit is the coat / jacket than boots and sneakers. But seeing your video makes me home sick. Its been 3 yrs since i moved from New York to Maryland. And i can say nyc been my home my whole life it has influenced me so much. People say im very fashionable and ive noticed people here in Bellair Maryland dont care about how they look. 2024 -2025 will be picking up a Saint Laurent biker jacket yeah its $3,500 thats a life time jacket.
Your content saves me right now since I started working on my own and earning enough to get into style topic as a whole. Keep up with amazing and informative videos!
#pvv I had Twinkie on the school bus coming home. After getting off at my stop, I walked like 10 feet away, and threw up on this massive rock. So, none after that 😆
my shoe of choice is new rock platform boots. i overhauled my wardrobe to be all black and focus on comfort. accessories are spiky and pentagram bracelets. i own no parts of a suit, i don't go to formal events. need to paint a pentagram on one of my shirts actually
love your videos man, but if I could give you a tip it would be to put your camera in manual mode so it won't change the exposure so much. Of course in natural light it could happened anyway, but I think it would be better to set the camera before
I'm a dude, but I love the occasional comment on the girls side of fashion because it reminds me to always look for new inspiration 👊 also love the casual experimentation with the video style, feels like a bro checking in on his homies 😁 #pvv I've never had a twinkie but I've eaten a lot of Asian cake rolls with the whipped cream in them, so I imagine it's similar.
#pvv Hello Drew. I've never eaten a Twinkie but it looks like it would taste like similar little cakes that we have called "1/2 Moon" or "Croquettes" from a company called Vachon. Happy Sunday!🙂
#pvv from an oversea brother out here, i had no clue about what a twinkie is, so i'm having so much fun reading the comments right now! great video as usual, hope you keep that cool and peace vibes as long as possible
You don’t have to spend a lot on good quality loafer (maybe because I live in Europe) I go on vinted and I can find a lot of really good quality Italian made loafers under €50. I guess it’s a little different in the USA, I don’t have experience with buying clothing in the US :) Good video btw hahahh
#pvv the last time I ate a Twinkie I think I was maybe 12 so it’s been a while but I have done it. Also, I’m in the middle of changing up my wardrobe and you just completely validated all of the stuff that I’ve been working on with this video, so thank you so much for that, I really enjoy it. Keep doing you.
3:18 thoughts on the feit clogs? 6:56 agree.. I’m light wash all day, and want to get a pair to bleach myself. I also think I’m getting into flared jean/trousers 14:23 shirts are my weakest game
i think having a video on accessories would be really cool
Yes please listen to this person
yes! pls
I agree! Nowadays with fashion a lot of people focus on rings, earrings, etc! But how to pair them with the right outfits is something I wanna know a bit more on, as well as how color can be a huge part of fashion!
Please!!!!
I appreciate how you're aware of your diverse audience and not too focused on menswear just for men :))

the format is great! one of your best vids so far
agreed
drew has been upping his game lately
Great video! I know that fashion “rules” are meant to be broken, but “leaving the bottom button on suit jackets undone” aesthetically has always made a lot of sense to me

Your English is pretty good bro

That Orslow tweed jacket is so nice
the way you were able to explain everything so simply and in depth showcases your love for and knowledge of fashion. loved this video and rly wanna learn more about your fashion journey.
I know I comment this every couple of months but dude your videos get better and better
Great video! As someone who disliked loafers until recently, I think it's very easy to replace them with a nice looking boot. Still easy to wear every day with jeans or with a full suit. I have a secondhand pair I pull out a lot, but something like Thursday boots or Solovairs.
i will never get tired of just watching you wear clothes its just therapeutic
i personally think that keeping in mind the colors and sizes of your basic wardrobe essentials is crucial because it helps elevate it and make it wearable on a day to day basis
i love how standing up drew/sitting down drew are two completely different personalities
this is one of your best videos to date! you seem much more relaxed and comfortable too. thank you for the helpful tips and budget-friendly alternatives!
audio and video quality, editing and just the definition of the video have all been improving at an insanely rapid pace lately

Love the format of this vid. Great stuff you shared, Drew!!
This is one of the best-formatted videos I’ve watched 😭

Chuck 70s are where its at. Loved this presentation. Super entertaining and helpful.
I loved the format of this video and how you gave your advice based on your personal experiences!

My style is mostly inspired by menswear looks and I appreciate your videos :)
One of your best videos. We need more.
Tomorrow!!!
I highly recommend clark’s loafers too!!! They are a mom & dad brand so all their shoes are extra comfy!!!

The 53 Gucci loafers are fire! Nice video.
29:02 this is the key! What matters to you won't necessarily matter to others. Personal style.
Very, very nice advice. Agree totally. (Loved the photography, especially the shot of the pigeons)
Your content saves me right now since I started working on my own and earning enough to get into style topic as a whole. Keep up with amazing and informative videos!
Amazing Video Drew, Keep It Up!!!
Did not expect I'd be grabbing a pen a couple of minutes in 😅
Thanks!
Bro, I am SO HYPED for this vid. Thanks Drew you’re awesome!

#pvv I had Twinkie on the school bus coming home. After getting off at my stop, I walked like 10 feet away, and threw up on this massive rock. So, none after that 😆
very inspirational vid; production also had a meditative quality to it that was soothing; great content
If you’re looking for nice suede loafers that are more affordable, vans has some that look similar to the GH bass ones. It’s worth checking out
Ion gonna lie, this video is amazing, love u bro, wonderful work.
My man just drops banger videos!!!
drew can u do a video on how hair accessories, along with hairstyles (especially for women's fashion,) impact an outfit?
Hey man, I trust your reviews and adored your opinions on Mens fashion
loved the format!! great content as usual 🤍
my shoe of choice is new rock platform boots. i overhauled my wardrobe to be all black and focus on comfort. accessories are spiky and pentagram bracelets. i own no parts of a suit, i don't go to formal events. need to paint a pentagram on one of my shirts actually
