New CV Axle Assembly from 1AAuto.com trq.video/ia-1...
This video shows you how to install a new TRQ CV axle in your 2012-2016 Subaru Impreza. A CV axle has flexible joints. Often, these joints wear out, or seize from contaminants due to the protective boot tearing open. A worn joint is prone to breakage, or other hazards. If your vehicle needs a new CV axle, install a quality TRQ axle that is engineered to your vehicle’s specifications.
This repair was done on a 2012 Subaru Impreza Premium 2.0L Hatchback 4-Door AWD Automatic and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
    2012 Subaru Impreza
    2013 Subaru Impreza
    2014 Subaru Impreza
    2015 Subaru Impreza
    2016 Subaru Impreza

Thanks for this. I just did this to my 2010 Impreza and your video was essential. It took an hour and a half, with no lift and no special S-hook. Could not have done it without you.

Why do all the other videos show people messing with the camber bolt? Is there any negative to pulling on the controll arm like that?

Would the torque be the same for the Crosstrek in the same generation?

Everything seems so easy in your videos. In real life it's quite different. I love how you just levered the arm off the ball joint. I used a hammer, pry bar, four guys and a gorilla, and some fairly colorful language. CANNOT get the arm off the ball joint. Finally removed the ball joint from the knuckle and now I don't know what to think. You moved that arm out of the way with a hook and pry bar, we couldn't BUDGE ours even with two guys on the pry bar. Suggestions?

I have a 2016 Forester, is there any significant difference I need to be aware of doing this procedure?

When you torqued the brake line hose bracket, it didn't turn before it registered being at torque spec. That meant the ratchet over Torqued the bolt. The proper torque proceedure is to back the bolt off until the torque wrench turns the bolt and then it reaches the torque setting.
For something as light as 20 you can hand over tighten that which is why the torque setting is important especially if that is steel into aluminum.

+auden_builds We wouldn't be able to diagnose an issue like that here, you may want to have a local mechanic take a look at it. Thanks for checking us out! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c
