I think i may be a late, but i personally think the reason this was scrapped, is because it's so goddamn emotional. Like, with the entire undertale soundtrack, this made *me* feel more emotion then HIS THEME. This is the genocide route, where the intention is to make you feel empty. Not to hype you up even more then BAaTH, and, yes, dare I say, Megalovania. Even though this is so good, it makes so much sense now why it'd be scrapped. But hey, that's just my opinion. A subjective outlook on a very blatant route. And for the first time in a long time, I'm honestly absolutely estatic to hear someone else's input on my opinion.
@@randomclips1232 That's not what I read in the newsletter. I read that in DR he wanted to give the fans an actual metaton Neo fight, so he made that song. That doesn't mean it was made for metaton in in UT, but whatever the fight in DR would be
@@DiscoZombie-lw5tj I mean since metatton originated in ut it wouldn't make sense to scrap the fight in ut and take it to dr. I like toby and all but that would kinda be considered lazy if you know what I mean
@@randomclips1232 exactly, that's why he didn't do it. But that was the plan, at least to create an actual NEO fight, if not a metaton NEO fight, in DR. To quote him exactly: "After creating UNDERTALE, one of my goals for DELTARUNE was for players to finally be able to challenge a "real" version of Mettaton NEO that didn't just end in one turn. For that purpose, I actually created a few music mockups for an extended version of Power of NEO." He made the song for Deltarune.
This is not an extension, it is a loop. *_And it is inherently flawed..._* Because the video must eventually come to an *_end._* Until then, it keeps repeating the beginning and end sections. Should you intend to improve this... *_Ouroboros miscreation_* of yours, I would suggest you upload another "extension" which does away with the first and last part. Then, all the listener must do is to press is the "loop" button in the video player, and the track will be *_truly endless._* ♾ Moebius send their regards 💜

Am I the only one who's annoyed that everyone keeps saying this song is an UT OST, when it's actually a DR OST? Toby made this for ch2, not undertale.
It was actually meant to be for the ut ost but toby scrapped it in order to give it to spamton.
So originally it was for the mettaton neo full fight
