This is AMAZING!!!😍😍 From start to finish the way it turned out is gorgeous!!! Amazon has the best things, but I never heardof the facebook store. Now your going to have me look into it😂Cause for $5, that mirror was a steal!! And the way you transformed it, giiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrl, this is DOPE!! SO AWESOME!!!!! 🙌💖👍👍👍👍
Hahahaha girl I’m so addicted to buying stuff (aka other people’s junk) on Facebook! That’s why my garage is suchhhh a hot ass mess right now! We have so many home projects we’re doing for the house 🤦🏽♀️ so glad you enjoyed the video babe! I needed better lighting in my new vanity area sooo bad! I’m so happy with how this turned out, those lights are everything!
This is absolutely brilliant. I'm wanting to surprise my fiancee and my daughter soon with a nice vanity to enjoy but wasn't sure of lights to use. I know now! Thank you for sharing.
You’re so welcome!! These also fit around my floor length mirror and amazon has some that are remote controlled now!! I love that you are doing this for your girls! so so sweet! they will love it!
@@DeanndraNunnery After watching the video, I went straight to Amazon and started tossing all sorts of those lights into my virtual buggy, and in my mind I was thanking you the whole time. Then after a few failed attempts of logging into Amzn, I fell asleep
WOW! As a Pro MUA who has a heavy vanity mirror and it is now in hindsight too big although my hubby made it for less than $100. This is the best vanity light mirror I’ve seen! Totally portable for freelance working MUA’s. I like the sleekness of it as I am semi retired and scaling back and actually making the closet in my spare bedroom my vanity spot and it’s a normal bifold size closet. And the room will be the closet/ office/ attempting to build a sleek Murphy bed so all is flush to the wall. Does the lights you bought give enough light for a true daylight accuracy or would I need more strips? Also, for esthetics you could easily get the single acrylic spice rack or something similar to place over the strips for the daytime when they are off. Lowe’s sells acrylic and will cut it to size for free. I’m sure there is a cheap “cord cover” that they can suggest! Great job!!!
Ohhh the acrylic is a great idea!! Eh I’d say it provides enough light for everyday makeup (I do usually have natural light in my room too). If you didn’t have a good spot with natural light I would get an extra strip!
Thank you so much for this video. I followed your instructions and made of my own today and it turned out great! I suck at DIYs but this was easy even for me! Keep doing an awesome job ❤️
Ive read reviews on the lights, and there are a comments about how the lights look "industrial" when not in use. What's you're opinion on how the lights looks when just resting as a part of your decor ?
Meh they could be cuter honestly but it doesn’t bother me too much. I keep my vanity in my guest bedroom so I don’t really look at the mirror unless the lights are on and in use. Putting them on a white frame definitely helps camouflage the “industrial” look of them. I also don’t like the look of the big bulbs when they aren’t on 🤷🏽♀️
I did this a couple years back def saves money fast fwd a couple years later the sticker on the back of the lights is falling apart mind you this is 3/5 years later wish I could find something that would make it stick again !
You know, I was just thinking of doing this DIY but reinforcing the lights by adding hot glue only under the areas where it would be ok to cut the lights so that the hot glue doesn't damage them. Or maybe finding those small staple guns and stapling along the "cut" areas too. Idk, I'll have to try it myself and see lol.
This was great!!! I’m using your tutorial for my vanity. Can you tell me, does this seem bright enough in the evening? I can’t wait to set mine up!!! 🙏
Yay!! So glad I could help! It was so easy. Yes the lights get pretty bright, I usually only keep it at half lit so I think it would light really well at night with it turned all the way up.
Wow i love the color you choose ! It fits the mirror so perfectly ! So beautiful babes 👀💜. Great video lovely! 😚I am a returning supporter to you’re channel! Big thumbs up babes ! 🙌😃😀. Looking forward for more videos ! Xoxo 💋
If that works better for you, that sounds like a great option!! I don’t mind my mirror having to sit by a socket because it stays on my desk always and I have a portable lighted mirror if I need one for travel or anything like that. I appreciate the feedback!
hello! thanks for this awesome video, I plan on making one for my wife's birthday coming in the next couple of days. Could you tell me the size of your mirror please?
Omg I’m not sure how I’m just now seeing this!! I hope I’m not too late but my mirror is 19”x 23” hope that helps! Its so sweet your making this for your wife! I’m sure she’ll love it!
Nope! It all comes together ☺️ BUT if you end up cutting it, there’s a plug on both sides so you can still use the lights but you would need an extra dimmer and wall plug in that case.
I got that light set for my daughters mirror and they love it . Actually it broke bcuz they were always touching it and being rough .. now its mom plz do this again we cant see to put make up on lol

I love how easy it looked before during and after the process. It gave me an idea because i want to redesign our mirror into a vanity one 😊
This mirror is so beautiful, i love this light!💕
Thank you!! ❤️

Yay!! So glad I could help! It was so easy. Yes the lights get pretty bright, I usually only keep it at half lit so I think it would light really well at night with it turned all the way up.
I did read on the instructions not to fold the band of the LED lights but yours seems to be working. Did the lights give you any issues ?
Hm I never saw that anywhere! Mine have been great ever since I attached them to the mirror. I use them almost every day no issues! Hope that helps!
What kind of led lights is call
Wow i love the color you choose ! It fits the mirror so perfectly ! So beautiful babes 👀💜. Great video lovely! 😚I am a returning supporter to you’re channel! Big thumbs up babes ! 🙌😃😀. Looking forward for more videos ! Xoxo 💋
Thank you so much!! ❤️❤️❤️ so glad you enjoy my channel babe! 😘😘
it turned out so cute!!
Thank you so much! ☺️
great review. but only downfall is basically it has to sit next to the power socket , i think wifi led lights are a better option.
If that works better for you, that sounds like a great option!! I don’t mind my mirror having to sit by a socket because it stays on my desk always and I have a portable lighted mirror if I need one for travel or anything like that. I appreciate the feedback!
Its really nice.... You can add some rhinestones to it a little.... But I love it and I'm going to try this for sure!
That would be so cute to add!!
It bright enough to do make up properly or to take a clear selfie ?
yes I used it to do makeup looks on Instagram all the time!!

Thanks. Big help. Gonna put one on my wife's mirror. Also, you're cute.
Hi.
Did you mount your mirror on the wall or left it stand on your table ? If so how did you keep it from falling?
Hello! I left it leaning on my table. I just leaned it over onto the wall so it would stay up. Hope that helps!! ❤️
It came out amazing 😻😻😻
Thank you!! ❤️
What grit size did you use to sand?
Is there a way you could cover the lights ?
I think if you covered them, they wouldn’t be as bright. But if you didn’t want to see them you could always put them around the outer edge.
Great video! Please, what camera do you use?😍
Thank you, for this video I used the Sony cybershot
LOVE LOVE LOOOOOOVE this super simple, Thanks!!!
Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed!
Hello, I am Nadia from Indonesia. This is so creative. Nice to know you!
Thank you Nadia! So glad you enjoyed xoxo ❤️❤️
So glad I found this video!!!
Yay! So happy you enjoyed!
hi i have a question, i plan to do the same thing on my mirror but did you have to buy the extra dimmer and plug?
Nope! It all comes together ☺️ BUT if you end up cutting it, there’s a plug on both sides so you can still use the lights but you would need an extra dimmer and wall plug in that case.
thank you so much☺️
Do you think you could add glitter are some around the “wiring” to hide them from not looking so pretty when off?
I definitely think so! Maybe if you found a strip of rhinestones you could glue on top would be super cute!
Would u consider these really good in brightness..??
Yes I definitely would! I can use just these and have plenty of light!
Im about to do the same with my old mirror I have instead of dumping it in the trash
woow u are great at diy!
Awe thank you so much!!
♥️♥️♥️ I’m gonna do this !
Yay!! It was sooo easy! && I love it
So so much! ❤️❤️
Did yours come with a Cable buckle?
No it didn’t it’s just a sticker from one end till you get to the plug in at the end.
Where is the plug?
How do you fold it in the cornerrr
It’s sort of like tape so you literally just fold it. It’s bendable and super easy to work with
I'm thinking of using these lights to back light an antique waterfall vanity mirror. Based on your experience using them, do you think it would work?
Oh for sure! They are so easy to work with and stick really well!
I think they would do well going around a circular mirror.
Very Amazing and very easy
Thank you!! And yes it was!!
Love it
Thank you!
I got that light set for my daughters mirror and they love it . Actually it broke bcuz they were always touching it and being rough .. now its mom plz do this again we cant see to put make up on lol
Lol 😂 My husband and I always say we can’t have anything nice bc the kids always want to touch it! Good thing these are so affordable!

I linked a few other lights in the description also!
how long did it take for the paint to dry?
I’m not too sure, I just let it dry overnight.
Amazing idea

Hey, Do your lights still work today ?
Yes! I’ve never had an issue with them not working. Use them everyday and in my background for other videos. ☺️
