Looks like they have better way of collecting the spirulina. It looks like a nice little job to do daily and maybe sell a product. Nice to have a healthy product to sell to people whom need it.
If you use Fish farming the waste water feeds the alga if you collect your human waste and food scrapes it can with the guts from harvested fish feed the general fish population that then feed alga. If your aerate the water the dust from the air and natural sand filters for the water add carbon and minerals needed for such a super food. with minimal industrial inputs.
