This is a great, well-made tutorial! However, I noticed this created sort of a raised seam along the row ends and is still not quite jogless. I’m wondering if you’ve iterated on this at all?

So question? If we did the slip stitch in the 1st stitch of our next round aren't we supposed to still do our first stitch in that one? Otherwise it would shift the starting stich right? Or would that not matter because we would count that slip stitch as the 1st stitch of the next round?
So awesome! Tho what do I do while I'm not using the first colour? Do I cut it off and then re integrate it later or do I just leave it as a loose string for now? (making a bee 😊)

No, this works best for single crochet while working in a spiral. I recommend slip stitching to join at the end of each row with larger stitches. This join will never cause a stair step.
