The outro from this specific version is the most emotional piece of music I have ever heard; moves me to tears. The lyrics Anthony sings in the outro are amazing too and make this one truly special: "sometimes a song about dying, is the same song about just being alive." and is the only time I know of he used these specific lyrics in an outro. I was supposed to go that night in Calgary but work told me to choose between the concert and my job. I should have chose the concert and have regretted it for years. I drove to Ontario from Alberta to see them August 21 2022 but a death in the family August 20 forced me to drive back to Alberta and miss the concert. I don't regret missing the concert for this reason to support my children and my ex, but I pray that I have another opportunity to see them with John back in the band.
I hope you manage to see them! I've seen them twice but never with John, tickets sold out too quick on the last tour but if I have too I'll bite the bullet and pay double if I have to to see them next year.
Didn’t realize it at the time. But this was at one of the best Chili peppers concerts of all time. John Frusciante at his absolute best. My girlfriend and I (at the time) showed up to this concert without a rock concert to compare it too…and left in absolute awwwww of the show. One of the best memories of my twenties and one I will always cherish…& was able to share it with someone super special!
I honestly teared up when I got the Live at Reading outro of this down. But yeah very hard to dial in all of the delays, chorus, likely cocked wah, etc that he does lol. I've gotten close with my tiny home setup but you really need cranked Marshalls for it to really convey the feeling.
Thank-you for posting this!So happy to know they rocked Calgary and that fans still appreciate and revel in the Frusciante era. The music is not the same for me after he left. Still good, but different.
Outro is like a religious experience, haha. I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t have music, it helps cut through the sourness of life, makes things a little bit sweeter 🤙
Dont forget me outro at Montreal is the best . there is one vid titled "john and flea jam during don't forget me" off someones phone The other vid is full song professional audio no video. Like this one above
@@isaacdouglas1291 that one is a variation of the one I mentioned. It is far more composed and orchestrated with couple movements and amazing guitar licks

They are touring for at least the next year!
@@nathanking5137 Yep, planning on seeing them in Vancouver this time.

Damn, man! First time listening to this one. Amazing, wow 🔥🔥
Have you seen them live yet??
I think John went to the fifth dimension with that outro. The chemistry between John, Flea and chad is unrivalled

The outro made me cry
I just learned the outro on my guitar, it’s so soothing. Of course I will never be able to create the same sound that guitar Jesus does.

I listen to this recently, I can't believe.. it the most beautiful Don't forget me solo live...
La Cigale 2006 is a better intro and solo, but not so great of a outro, look up
@@stormbreaker7_ I agree
This, no matter what, will remain a hidden gem. Along with the German and a Montreal show.
And fuji
Another Johnny's master piece

These first solo is so magic.

The best perfomance of this song 4:13 this outro is superior to all others, even Slane Castle, Chorzow, La Cigale, Reading 2007

Все ж один из лучших гитаристов
If anyone ever invents a time machine, I will buy it and I will set it on September 16, 2006 Calgary

Chocolate rain is epic

"Dont forget me (better than la cigale)" is the best outro of John, and to me, the best solo

Mikhael Diaz Flores People I guess it’s more like psychedelic? And it’s John Frusciante, don’t ever forget that name ❤️
They’re just arpeggios lol
No other guitarist plays like that
The song from the end is the same as Don't Forget Me, isn't it?
It’s an outro jam

Andro Eaton 12 years, and better late then never?
