I can’t believe I’m saying this. Usually I’m the one that are yelling at the people who are saying “let’s take a moment to appreciate this” because it’s an overused comment. OH MY FREAKING GOD! THE ZIPPER IN THE TAIL IS BRILLIANT! I'm modifying mine for sure now. I also have a snep tail it's so hard to keep clean cause it touches the ground
I HATE the idea of just throwing that huge thing in the wash and hoping the whole thing dries fast before getting moldy! I love the idea of being able to take the stuffing out!

I think the D-ring is very convenient, makes me remember a recent con where we had the fursuit parade right after a morning rain storm and everyone was holding their tails so keep them from dragging in any puddles lol. Maybe making the fabric connecting it to the tail a bit closer in color to the fur could help better hide it when not in use. Still very nice looking!!
oh yea I just wanted it to have a cute little accent that matched the liner I am putting in the matching kigu hood! that was an on-purpose thing I did :P

OH MY GOD THIS HELPED ME SO MUCHH!!!!! I’m 10 and I’m looking for timelapses to help me make fursuit heads since I’m not old enough and I don’t have enough money to buy one myself. My mother has a sewing machine and that allows me to make my own! I made one fursuit head and hot glued the fur on, and even though that turned out well it was hard!
I understand the struggle LOL I started making suits because a ton of makers were over my budget ! maybe you can try making your own from the tutorials on youtube!
Do you have any tips to help with enlarging multi-page templates? That’s pretty much the only thing so far that I’ve been struggling with, for some reason lol (The ones used to get base shapes cut out of foam) I’ve seen tutorials but haven’t been able to fully grasp how it’s done
you can put the templates into poster printing sights or tile print them this will print the templates out over several pages allowing for a larger size. P.S. Skyehigh Studios explains it better in one of her getting started videos. :)
I absolutely love it! I’m watching tutorials on how to make fur suits but the pattern stuff is… very confusing for my 11 self to comprehend, and I’m starting to understand it more and more each day although could use a tut from the almighty talented artist to post one could help a ton!😊 your a huge inspiration to me and I want to start expressing myself in a place I can feel comfortable and, confident and feel like I fit in for once! I’m not sure how old you have to be at a convention… but I hope to go one day! And maybe I can meet you one day! Ok, here goes my story, i was once a furry, between the 14 and 16 years old, i stopped on being a furry cause people saw me like a weirdo and started to say me bad things like "you are so childish" "thats really weird" "its ok if you enjoy it just dont tell it to us", the shame and the hate maked me to stop on being a furry, thats the real reason why i stopped, but actually i heckin love furries, fursuits and the art, the people is so happy, so friendly, makes me feel like in home. I’m planning to make my snow leopard oc, Tundra into a partial but it’ll be my first fur suit I’ve ever made, I’ve always been a fan of your videos, they are so helpful , so I have a few questions, if you don’t mind obviously ! Would it be possible to fur a head with just a needle and thread? Patterning fur seems really daunting- is there any tips you would suggest since I’m a newbie at this stuff 🥲 And finally, for the bucket head base what sort of foam would you use?
You can do it!! my heads are completely hand sewn with needle and thread. I have a Tape Patterning tutorial with all my tips on that, and a How to Fur a Fursuit Head tutorial with all my tips there too! i have no other tips to give, i put them all in my tutorials haha. bucket definitely 1/2" foam! if you use 1" for the bucket, your head will turn out absolutely massive and bobble head looking.
I got it from amazon! I think the link I usually send people is sold out but there's a ton on the site. just search for plastic mannequin head/bust, usually they're 23" circumference.
@@ElijahStevens-fm4pz you absolutely can! As you make them, I would compare yours to other makers you feel your quality is at and have similar prices. You should also keep in mind your demand (if you have way too many people interested you can raise prices! If hardly anyone is interested at current prices maybe lower them and see if that makes them sell. But sometimes it's just a bad time of year when people don't have extra spending money.

yes you glue them together with hot glue!

Ok, here goes my story, i was once a furry, between the 14 and 16 years old, i stopped on being a furry cause people saw me like a weirdo and started to say me bad things like "you are so childish" "thats really weird" "its ok if you enjoy it just dont tell it to us", the shame and the hate maked me to stop on being a furry, thats the real reason why i stopped, but actually i heckin love furries, fursuits and the art, the people is so happy, so friendly, makes me feel like in home.
Im considering to join a group of fursuit makers, cause i dunno i maybe like to do fursuits, its chilly and relaxing, also by the way and to close, im mexican, but i know how to talk english real good, thanks for reading my quick story ❤
THIS IS SO COOL! I’m planning to make my snow leopard oc, Tundra into a partial but it’ll be my first fur suit I’ve ever made, I’ve always been a fan of your videos, they are so helpful , so I have a few questions, if you don’t mind obviously !
Would it be possible to fur a head with just a needle and thread?
Patterning fur seems really daunting- is there any tips you would suggest since I’m a newbie at this stuff 🥲
And finally, for the bucket head base what sort of foam would you use?
You can do it!! my heads are completely hand sewn with needle and thread. I have a Tape Patterning tutorial with all my tips on that, and a How to Fur a Fursuit Head tutorial with all my tips there too! i have no other tips to give, i put them all in my tutorials haha.
bucket definitely 1/2" foam! if you use 1" for the bucket, your head will turn out absolutely massive and bobble head looking.

I use upholstery foam from joanns! a combination of 1/2" and 2".

I got it from amazon! I think the link I usually send people is sold out but there's a ton on the site. just search for plastic mannequin head/bust, usually they're 23" circumference.

There's no answer, because it depends on your prices you set for your fursuits!

@@ElijahStevens-fm4pz you absolutely can! As you make them, I would compare yours to other makers you feel your quality is at and have similar prices. You should also keep in mind your demand (if you have way too many people interested you can raise prices! If hardly anyone is interested at current prices maybe lower them and see if that makes them sell. But sometimes it's just a bad time of year when people don't have extra spending money.

I don't sell the pattern since I'd rather other people draw their own shapes for it, but I have a tutorial guide on how to make the face patterns!
what thickness of foam do you use for your head base?
I go more into detail in my Headbase tutorials, but overall just 1/2" ! the muzzle pieces are 2" though.

you're so kind to say so! I'm currently using "vinyl Aida cross stitch mesh" ! I think the weave is '14' (how loose or tight the weave is)
