My husband and I make panko-covered fried chicken about once a month or so, and it's DIVINE. Granted, we don't grind our chicken to make it (saves time), but fast food nuggets just don't compare to that crispy panko breading with some chili sauce.
I would LOVE to see Josh do a low carb/paleo/Keto series of fast food. There are so many culinary challenges and so many of us that are avoiding these ingredients under medical circumstances - anyone else?
One thing I will say is that at least companies are willing to actually make things spicy recently. The Wendy's ghost pepper sauce the McD's mighty hot sauce actually had some kick to it.
We have to appreciate how long it takes them to make vs how long we take ‘em to make and we say we make better food which is true but in a longer amount of time while they have a company that can’t cook for too long because of the customers a day
At least he didn't diss the spice flavoring. Literally the only reason I like them so much. The chicken flavor, i realize, I've never missed. I can't imagine a flavor when I think of chicken. I wonder if I've become numb to it.
I feel like for these to be genuinely fair Josh needs to make them identical in size, shape, and texture. At this point it’s just home cooked vs fast food which will win 10/10.
Well, if they were that identical, they wouldn't be better, they'd be the same, the point of the series is to show how much better cooking made at home is
@@notaword1136 exactly. He’s not trying to make them the exact same, he’s just making the fast food at home. Plus the shape doesn’t make a huge difference, neither does shape.
The time for Joshua to improve upon Sonic is long overdue: I say this as an Oklahoman and Sonic being an Oklahoma corporation. And there's stuff at Sonic that definitely needs improvement. Yeah, he's already made a bomb chili dog that's not a "But Better" segment that blows Sonic's coneys out of the water. What I want to see Josh take on is the Sonic Toaster sandwiches.
Uh question, does the cookbook include some of the recipes you’ve already made? Like the pumpkin pie? Or is it just basic stuff like how to boil an egg?
Josh adds so many ingredients sometimes that I’m not sure some of them would even make a difference. These recipes could use some testing to see what is and isn’t necessary
Asmongold lives in Texas. He loves spicy Wendy nuggets so much its like his favorite food. Josh should send him some of these upgraded ones for a react/colab thing. Or do it in person. Sounds like a super chill time.

Ofc, but no pain no gain. You can either take the hard and better way or easy and worse way.
@@nardin1856 wendy's spicy nugs are good tho
Josh Weissman; strengthening marriages through food once again!
2:07 "Wait a minute, hold on. Did we notice that Wendy's was established in '69? We can end the video right here! Bye." - Papa
You should make a series where you have people send you homemade or family recipes but try and make them better.
WHOAAAA!!!!!! UNCLE ROGER and Joshua Uploaded at the SAME time !!!!!!!!
*chef's kiss*
Hey josh, just bought your cook book! I love it! When i read it, i have your voice in my head :-)! Thanks!!!
I watch these videos for the “but better” theme music! 😍
SAMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
My husband and I make panko-covered fried chicken about once a month or so, and it's DIVINE. Granted, we don't grind our chicken to make it (saves time), but fast food nuggets just don't compare to that crispy panko breading with some chili sauce.
0:52 don’t be scared… what? 😳
So I'm not the only one who noticed!
I heard that too. I was like uhhhh papa needs a retake on that
p sure he said Vicram, it just got slurred cause he was doing a voice
@@captaindanger894 ok thank you for the clarification :)
Ye i was like ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…………………………………………………………
Pretty sure the breading/batter matched to the Wendy’s nugs will include corn starch
I would LOVE to see Josh do a low carb/paleo/Keto series of fast food. There are so many culinary challenges and so many of us that are avoiding these ingredients under medical circumstances - anyone else?
On top of that - pork-rind breading beats panko 100%
One thing I will say is that at least companies are willing to actually make things spicy recently. The Wendy's ghost pepper sauce the McD's mighty hot sauce actually had some kick to it.
“Let the excess drip off”
You can never have enough drip
Sussy drip? Imposter amogus
CHON?
STI clinics beg to differ
We have to appreciate how long it takes them to make vs how long we take ‘em to make and we say we make better food which is true but in a longer amount of time while they have a company that can’t cook for too long because of the customers a day
Any company : Our food is really good
Joshua : And I took that personally
This is shockingly close to how I used to make chicken burgers at home when I first moved out on my own.
Man... shred some cheese and dice some chili peppers to add to the chicken mixture and we've got a fucking winner here.
So basically I grind up some chicken, form it into nuggs, coat them 3 times with MSG and fry them.
Got it
I love Wendy’s nuggets, their spicy nuggets definitely need improvement tho so I’m all about this
At least he didn't diss the spice flavoring. Literally the only reason I like them so much. The chicken flavor, i realize, I've never missed. I can't imagine a flavor when I think of chicken. I wonder if I've become numb to it.
@@MgckPyro I don't think there is an actual *chicken* flavour, lol.
Josh made me buy MSG. I've always wanted to try it and so far the food I use MSG has been BUSSIN'...I hope this is PAPA approved
That was a straight "Sleepaway Camp" smile at 1:34
I feel like for these to be genuinely fair Josh needs to make them identical in size, shape, and texture.
Here is the oil temperature for anyone living outside the US and A: 180C
omg youre killing me with that first bite! Wendys nuggets are far superior to any others 😩
Petition to have Josh make Arby’s/Sonic’s mozzarella sticks but better.
Agreed
The time for Joshua to improve upon Sonic is long overdue: I say this as an Oklahoman and Sonic being an Oklahoma corporation. And there's stuff at Sonic that definitely needs improvement. Yeah, he's already made a bomb chili dog that's not a "But Better" segment that blows Sonic's coneys out of the water. What I want to see Josh take on is the Sonic Toaster sandwiches.
@@soonerterp Yes anything from Sonic would be great. I agree
0:52 I know he said “Vicram” but I somehow heard something else at first 😂
does not sound like 'victor' at all lol
He said “don’t be scared Vicram”
Bruh I was mad confused as well😂
@@VicramFilms my fault it said victor in the closed captions
The vocals🤣🤣🤣🥰🥰
Uh question, does the cookbook include some of the recipes you’ve already made? Like the pumpkin pie? Or is it just basic stuff like how to boil an egg?
Josh adds so many ingredients sometimes that I’m not sure some of them would even make a difference. These recipes could use some testing to see what is and isn’t necessary
Just got your book today! I’m not a reader by no means but I can’t wait to read it!!
Asmongold lives in Texas. He loves spicy Wendy nuggets so much its like his favorite food.
Josh should send him some of these upgraded ones for a react/colab thing. Or do it in person. Sounds like a super chill time.
Honestly it's kinda sad that anything fast food could be someone's "favorite"... It's mostly mediocre, over-priced, the only good point is that it's fast and convenient...
Who cares about asmongold wtf. Why do you feel the need to comment about your favorite streamer under this lmao
@@Osegis stop acting like you’re fucking better or something. Wendy spicy nuggs are my favorite now just to spite you. Not that that’s a tall order their fucking delish.
@@lemontonk Ironically you seem to care more than literally any other comment in this video.
@@Osegis Its a combination of comfort, nostalgia and personal preference.
Also your comment reminds me of Jaime Oliver trying to get kids to stop eating chicken nuggets. Futile.
I feel like it’d be cool if josh did a “but better” by incorporating the actual fast food meal with other ingredients
0:52 if I didn’t already know Vikram’s name, I would’ve thought you said something else…….
Sounded like it to me
I'm honestly surprised to see that Josh never makes the mayo he uses himself...
@Joshua Roehl For crying out loud, get bent already
@Joshua Roehl Plug some Ozric Tentancles if you want good ambient music.
i love how joshua appreciates it a bit, and then completely destroys it
Don’t be scared “ WHAT” Josh ? 😂
My daughter works at Applebee's. I'd like to see Joshua make some of their menu items Better. I would also like Joshua to make Key Lime Pie, just for fun.
He has a key lime pie video!! It’s definitely older than this video tho. Just search Joshua Weissman key lime pie
0:54 WHAT DID HE SAY?!
also you should do saucy nuggs
I'm really excited for his book. Not just because I know it won't sing random words, but that is part of it.
0:52 DON'T BE SCARED WHO????
Right!!!
Vicram

That looked super delicious. I gotta make this one day even with the bread crumbs
A chicken nugget walks into a bar.
The bartender says, “Sorry, we don’t serve food here.”

@@Gabriel-oq4id Awh thanks! I already am to a 1 year old.
That was good.
Congrats to Josh for always making us salivate after each video! (I would just recommend that you don’t kiss your chicken before cooking it, 6:50. Safety first Papa).
Aaaaaah yes I love the MSG. Even the over the top amount of it.
Nothing will beat Wendy’s spicy chicken nuggets
Pappas attack on Wendys is success!!!!
bau!
indeed!
I Love How He Says His Stuff Is Better Than Storebought Every Time!😂😂
I had to go back to 4:39 multiple times to read that...
try the Wendy's Ghost pepper ranch sauce. i'm upset that some of their other sauces were taken away. Their creamy sriracha was a bop too.
Super 👌 awesome 👌 👏 👍. See you on the next one 📹.
Ummm what did joshua say at 0:52??
I had to do a double take too but he said Vicram, he was talking to the camera man
Yeah I was like WHAT???
Lmaooooo
CAN U PLZ MAKE CREPES THAT WOULD BE SO AMAZING I tried making them but failed miserably and I don’t know what I did wrong so I wanna see u do em ….. and they’re yummy
I like Alton Brown’s recipe on the food network’s website! try that! I’ve made it many times, it’s super good :)
