I’ve seen it personally in my family as well, I see users as old as in their 80s at the clinic, sad, but a true reality. It’s easy to start for whatever reason, every story is different from young to old, some opened a door to other drugs, crimes and jail, but I’ve seen many break that chain and God use their story to help others break their chain. God’s going to take that chapter in your life and open doors for you to help others in a respectful way, you’ve walked it and soon you’ll be able to talk through it, for yourself and others💜 You don’t need to look for people, you’ll fall right back to the trap, wait on God. I wish you well, it’s not easy, but even if you fall, it’s ok, try again, you will succeed, I know you will! I’m praying for you, please pray for my family that still has a foot in that world. It appears to be more acceptable in today’s world, sad to state, but it doesn’t make it right, we need our brains working at full speed to combat the enemy’s lies. You will win victory over this, believe it. Blessings to you my dear🙏💜

I also with tobacco struggled a while and continue to press the throne in prayer and I also started getting sick every time I would use tobacco. He answered my prayers.

I noticed others asking the same question that I have...why is Ellen White using the term "father" Miller? Scripture says to call no man your father - Matt 23:9. Otherwise, this is an excellent and informative presentation, and I thank you very much.
Later versions of her writtings didn't have that title "Father" for William Milller... She didn't even have it in the 1888 of The Great Controversy.

@@streetprophet007 The instruction is do not call any man "father". We need to stop being presumptous about our faith. When God gives an instruction we need to obey strictly and not look for a way to explain what we mean by obeying it partially. This is a snare from the devil, we are only preparing ourselves to explain why we don't really accept the NSL but still go ahead to observe it just so we can minister to the sick and or to reach out to unbelivers on that day = Mark of the Beast in the hand.
If we fail all the little tests that come by us how do we expect to pass the final test (the NSL)?
You cannot call someone father and not be religious about it.
Mckenzie was not supposed to use that quote. There must be other quotes that convey the very same message in the SOP, if there are none, then it should not be used for it does not have a second witness.

In early America "Father" was a title of respect for elderly men. Although, for example, "Mister" (the designation of a gentleman and a college graduate) was the normal title for Puritan clergy in colonial New England, Congregationalists. Baptists, Methodists and German Reformed commonly addressed older ministers as "Father" well into the 19th century." ["Are ‘Mother’ and ‘Father’ Appropriate Titles for Protestant Clergy?" by David L. Holmes]
Ellen G White and her family were Methodists before they joined the Millerite movement when she was a girl of 12 years. Her use of the title "Father" is not in the same context as people refer to the Pope but in the same context as people refer to older men and women who are not their relatives as "Aunt/Auntie" and "Uncle".

I always understood that Armegedon would be after the 1000 years. When the wicked dead would be resurrected and gather to destroy the New Jerusalem.
I feel the the time of "Jacob's trouble" should have been explained in understanding its connection. However, if you Google it, the explanation is given during the time of Jacob and what occurred then to understand the connection. However, maybe the viewers already understood without explanation, and I'm the "slow" one.😊😊😊

“Father?” Isn’t there a specific rule on calling no one Father but your actual dad and your Father in Heaven Father? My intuition is screaming at me while you’re reading this as you want us to learn “the rules” while simultaneously breaking the rules. Makes my head hurt. 😵💫🤕
It helps to know the history. Know when these things happened and when and what were the circumstances.

We all need to study for ourselves.
Why did Ellen White write in great length about trumpets 1, 2, 3, 4 and 7 but only a few short paragraphs about trumpet 5 and 6 mentioning Daniel Litch's work about Islam? Maybe it was nothing to do with Islam. This Islam view has been challenged. Ellen White did talk in great length about French Revolution, atheism and 1798. She also talked in great length about spiritualism. Pastor Stephen Bohr in his 7 trumpets series in youtube debunked this Islam view.
If I am not mistaken Pastor Bohr places the close of probation sometime during the last plagues. This I get from doing the study he has on the close of probation. His view is different from Ellen Whites, because she said probation closes WHEN Michael stands up and BEFORE the plagues. What triggers the close of probation? That is something that happens in Daniel 11:45. So is Daniel 11 fulfilled? According to modern theology it is, but not according to Uriah Smith and Ellen White. My concern is that we are placing Christ's coming too far into the future. I think it is closer than we realize. We should not rule out any possibility but study each one ourselves.

The truth for this time has been brought out in many books. Let those who have been dealing in cheap sentiments and foolish tests, cease this work and study Daniel and the Revelation . They will then have something to talk about that will help the mind. As they receive the knowledge contained in this book, they will have in the treasure house of the mind a store from which they can continually draw as they communicate to others the great, essential truths of God's Word. 1MR 62.4
The interest in Daniel and the Revelation is to continue as long as probationary time shall last. God used the author of this book as a channel through which to communicate light to direct minds to the truth. Shall we not appreciate this light, which points us to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, our King? 1MR 63.1
Best way to explain is to start with the first seal... That book isn't correct.
The world cannot receive God's Holy Spirit:
Jesus said “the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father” (John 14:12). Jesus said he will pray to the Father, and the Father will send the spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive because they do not know the Father. The Holy Spirit belongs to God, not Jesus. But those who know the Father, His Holy Spirit will live and dwell in us (John 14:17). Those who do not know both the Father and Jesus will be cast into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 8:12). We must know them both (John 17:3).
