  • Have you ever wondered about the Cosmic Week in prophecy? Or Ellen White’s statements on the 4,000 and 6,000-year timeline of events? Can we calculate the date of Christ’s return from her comments? In Part 2 of “When Does the 6000 Years End?” Mackenzie Drebit delves into the meaning of these comments. Discover the amazing purpose of Biblical chronology and how we can use it to prove major events in history. Find out how relevant Biblical chronology actually is and when the 6000 Years actually end! Learn the amazing date of creation! Is the 6000 Year Cosmic Week prophecy really a prophecy about the second coming of Christ or is its focus something else entirely? What did our pioneers believe about the end of the 6000 Years? Find out the mind-blowing conclusion to this amazing prophecy!
Learn how the pioneers believed that the 6000 years ended in 1844, and that they were not wrong! They only had the event wrong. Discover the exciting ending to this great prophecy - the 6000 years do not bring us to the coming of Christ. Instead they bring us to the Day of Atonement. We are living in the antitypical “day” of atonement, a very serious time, because time is no longer, while we wait for Jesus to complete His judgment. At any moment, the "day" of atonement will be over.

If it is written, it is for our admonition. So we should pay attention to it. The Shepard and wise men from the east paid attention to time and signs. That is why they knew jusus the savior was born while the jews did not.
Time is not the only thing bit is part of what we need to understand.
      1844 pioneers understood the time.

The Cosmic Week idea is closely related to the final sabbatical year and the final jubilee year that are to take place at the end of 6000 years of world history. Leviticus 25 ordains a Sabbath year (one in every seventh year) (Lev. 25:1-7Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)), and a jubilee year, (one in every fiftieth year) (Lev. 25:8-17Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)). ‌In the Sabbath year, each field was to rest uncultivated every seventh year. In a jubilee year, all leased or mortgaged lands were to be returned to their original owners, and all slaves and bonded labourers were to be set free (Lev. 25:10Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)).
‌In the period of 6000 years of world’s history (from the fall of Adam till the return of Christ) there are 120 jubilees (120 x 50-year periods = 6000). There were 80 jubilees in the 4000 years of the Old Testament and there are 40 jubilees in the 2000-year period of the New Testament. The last of the 80 jubilees of the Old Testament period was announced by Christ at the beginning of His ministry in 27 AD (Luke 4:18-19Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)):
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”
According to The Seventh-day Adventist Bible Commentary, “the ‘acceptable year of the Lord‘ is reminiscent of the year of jubilee, when slaves were freed, debts were cancelled, and entailed land was turned back to its original owner (Leviticus 25:10Open in Logos Bible Software (if available); 15Open in Logos Bible Software (if available),24Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)).”
Jesus started His ministry at about 30 years of age (according to the Jewish calendar) and was crucified at about 33 1/2. This corresponds to our calendar date of 27 AD. Because in 27 AD, Christ entered the last Jubilee overlapping from the Old Testament period of 4000 years (it was the 80th Jubilee of the OT and 27 AD was the 4000-year mark in time), we need to add 40 Jubilees (40 x 50-year periods = 2000 years). Therefore, the final jubilee year (at the end of 6000 years of the world’s history) should take place in the year 2027 (27 + 2000 = 2027)!
Ellen White stated that after Christ’s return, which will take place at the end of six thousand years, the next stage will be “the jubilee, when the land should rest” (Early Writings, 35). It means that the earth will rest uncultivated for thousand years while all the saved will spend the same period of time in heaven.
If the above calculation is correct, then the last sabbatical period of 7 years has already started in 2020, and if this world is going to last 6000 years, the last Sabbatical year of world history should be the year 2027. The same year is the last year of the Jubilee. It is significant that the virus responsible for the Covid-19 pandemic was first identified in Wuhan, China, in December 2019 and that the World Health Organization declared that outbreak a pandemic on 11 March 2020, thus introducing the unprecedented time of the first stage in the plan of globalization of the world.

The God-given mission of the Seventh-day Adventist church is to preach the three angels messages. They are complete and lacking in nothing.
The God-given mission of the Seventh-day Adventist church in the closing events is to proclaim the third angel's message. The loud cry of that message is the work of the latter rain, and it is ultimately a warning against accepting the false sabbath.

Your quote is Another reason to understand Ellen white is not setting a time prophecy.
And she is right about all her quotes. “For 6000 years”, “more than 6000 years”, and “nearly 6000 years”. Which is it ? It’s all of the above!
Why? Because the 6000 years ended prophetically in 1844 and then we entered the DAY of atonement. It’s still prophetically Oct 22, 1844. When Jesus comes out of the sanctuary it will be the NEXT day - or prophetically Oct 23, 1844.
So the 6000 years chronologically ended in 1844.
It’s actually more than 6000 years because we are already in 2024.
And it’s nearly 6000 years because it’s the last day of the 6000 years prophetically. Any minute Jesus is going to step out of the Most Holy Place and throw down His censor and come to take His people home.
A week after the day of atonement they celebrated the feast of tabernacles. That week represents the week we travel to heaven.
Therefore she is not a false prophet by saying it 3 different ways. She actually is telling the truth in each case.

There are some issues in this video that need addressing.
First off, Mackenzie is using the William Miller chronology.
However, he is also adding the date of creation as being October the 23rd. This is not in William Miller’s chronology and Mackenzie gives no explanation as to how he got to this date.
MacKenzie may be getting this creation date (the date but not the year) from Ussher's Chronology. James Ussher was a 17th-century Archbishop in Ireland. Ussher calculated that creation occurred on October 23, 4004 BC.
He assumed creation must be in autumn as the Jewish new year is in autumn. Then he also assumed that the autumnal equinox (the day when the length of the day and length of the night is equal) would be the most likely date.
The autumnal equinox in 4004 BC was Sunday the 23rd of October.
I am not convinced however that we have the direction from the Bible to use this logic to determine that creation was on October the 23rd.
Multiple dates in the Miller chronology are very difficult to find evidence for. For example the date of Nebuchadnezzar’s seige of Jerusalem is off by at least a year compared to historical sources (he states 596 BC but I can only find evidence for 597 BC). I am not saying Millar was wrong, but MacKenzie needs to state where the evidence for the date he is using comes from instead of just quoting Miller’s date.
Furthermore, the divine week uses a thousand years for a day. He is saying this leads to 1844 as being the end of the divine week’s Friday. Then he is saying that 1844 marks the beginning of a type of “day of atonement”. It is correct we are in a day of atonement because we know from 1844 the sanctuary is being cleansed and the cleansing of the sanctuary occurred on the day of atonement. However, to say that the divine week points to 1844 means taking a thousand years to mean a day. We are then, in the same prophetic calculation, changing the meaning of a day to say that from 1844 until the lords day is also a type of a day. To have two separate prophetic meanings of a day in the same prophetic calculation appears troubling.
I may be wrong, there may be ways to resolve the concerns I have written above, however I think there is a great deal that needs discussing to come to a conclusion.

    • @thegreatcontroversychannel1611
      @thegreatcontroversychannel1611 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

Totally agree!!! This presentation has SERIOUS issues. The period from the Exodus to Solomon is way too long which is largely what causes the 6000 years to end way too early. The Bible says there is 476 years from the Exodus to Solomon. "And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the Lord." 1 Ki. 6:1. And yet, in this presentation, Mackenzie shows at 24:56 that there are 2514 years at Wilderness. Then at 25:04 Mackenzie shows that there are 3131 years at Solomon. Taking the difference from 2514 to 3131 years, Mackenzie would have us believe that 617 years have elapsed from the Exodus to the reign of Solomon when the Bible clearly testifies in 1 Ki. 6:1 that only 476 years exist from the Exodus to Solomon's reign. Not to mention that additionally, Mackenzie omits to mention as in the days of Noah, there were given 120 years for the Spirit to strive with man, so for the entire fallen history of man there are given 120 50-year Jubilee cycles which make up the 6000 years which begin on the day of Atonement at the Fall of Man, not at the Creation. There is about 59 years from the Creation until the Fall. When the 6000 years of God's work on behalf of sinful mankind is completed, then should begin the 1000-year Millennium spoken of in Revelation 20.

Drebit suggests we check his calculations out. I have, multiple times, and compared them to the best scholarship in the field. He is simply way off on his chronology. He is not taking into account the proper calculations for the reigns of the kings, the period of the judges, and the correct calculations of the dates of the Captivity. We may be off on Creations date by a couple years, but not by 150 plus or minus. In my option we would be more accurate to suggest the Fall of Adam was 4000 years before Christ's baptism and wilderness temptations than trying to figure from Creation. He is right, however, in that we should be careful of predicting Christ's return based on an understanding of EGW's statements as being precise instead of generalizations. The end is here, but there are unfulfilled signs that will give us a more accurate idea of Christ's return than the Week of Time theory.

Brother Mackenzie, you obviously are trying to pick on Walter Veith. You may have some points, but be carful not to create a sense of false security saying "My Lord delayeth his coming;" and some will be found unprepared because of it. Instead of blowing the trumpet you are trying to silence the watchman. I would like to pick on you a bit also. Let's see some slides here: 10:15min - literal year of 6000 year would be 2027 not 1872. 15:20 " ...for more that 6000 years..." refers to future - read the first post of the slide "The day of Christ's coming...". (future perfect tense). 31:40 - you said "..6000 years is prophetic time" - there is no 6000 years prophesy.

10:15min - EGW SAID it in 1872 - she said FOR 6000 years, so he's saying she said it in 1872, its not math, its when she said it. that's what he's pointing out... 15:20 - Yes Jesus has not come, its referring to the future. and its MORE than 6000 years. ... exactly as He said it and fo 31:40 - The pioneers - of which EGW was one; said that the 6000 years WAS a prophecy, they listed it in their midnight cry document - of which EGW said that those who do not have/follow the Midnight cry ARE going to FALL off the path. and that it is the light from behind. In fact the 6000 year time was point number 1. (called the True Midnight cry by SS Snow) Please go read it its super interesting
Bother Mackenzie isn't creating false security as you said "my Lord delayeth" Hes saying TIMES UP; and it has bean since OCT 1844 - we are literally living in borrowed time, Jesus could come At any moment, the Mrs White says that the EVENTS at the end will be rapid ones. In other words Get ready because there isn't going to be much time left. Those rapid events could start at any moment- as we can see in the world being in the state we are in. Don't wait till 2027 or 2031 or 2026, or 2030, or 2033 of which I've all heard before be ready now. Time is up, we are looking for events; (and we have to know which events) and they will be rapid.

@@victorshikuku4355 EGW had a vision - where she saw ppl on a path - behind them was a light which shone on that path and it was the "midnight cry" so that they wouldn't stumble and fall off the path - ie without it we fall off the path. So what is the Midnight cry? it was given by a man call Samuel S Snow (SS snow) at a campmeeting Aug 22 1844 which he later wrote it down for people It is called the True Midnight cry by SS snow
In that document point #1 was the 6000 year prophecy. it also lists 2300 and 2520
Miller also came to the 6000 years before all the other prophecies I believe, and he taught that the longest reconning (6000 years - which we know because we can look up what he taught) was coming to a close, as well as the 2300 days - something that EGW says.
EGW also says that we have to go back to what was taught in 1842-1844 because that is our foundation
and people have been leaving it and trying to change it (now to the point where its unrecognizable)

Thank you for making this video, Mr Drebit. We need to combat fanaticism as best as we can; and with the Bible that we have, and the writings of Ellen White that we have, I think you have done your best.
However, there are a number of errors in the Hebrew chronology which must be corrected. And when we make these corrections from several other Old Testament source texts, we have to add around 1400 years to our standard chronology, which then makes the world close to 7400 years old, not 6000 years old.
This is an astonishing study. In the second century A.D., the Jewish Rabbis altered the Biblical chronology in the Hebrew texts of Genesis 5 and 11. Our version of these chronologies today are missing nearly 1400 years!
Firstly, to briefly introduce the other source texts. We have:
    1. The Septuagint (the Greek Old Testament translated in the third century BC and used by the early Christian Church)
    2. The writings of the first century historian, Flavius Josephus, who translated the Hebrew scriptures in the temple at Jerusalem.
    3. The Samaritan Pentateuch
    4. Liber Antiquitatum Biblicarum (LAB): A Hebrew account of the Biblical history from Adam to King Saul, translated into Greek, and then again into Latin, where only the Latin text remains today.
We need to make some corrections to the Hebrew texts of Genesis 5 and 11! Where the Hebrew says that Adam lived 130 years and begat Seth, the Septuagint reads 230 years. Josephus also says 230 years. And that after Seth was born, Adam lived 700 years and then died at 930 (whereas our standard Hebrew text says that Adam lived for 800 additional years and died at 930). Now when we read LAB, it states that Adam lived for 700 additional years after Seth was born. In other words, Adam’s begetting age has been reduced by 100 years in the Hebrew. Likewise, we need to correct the ages of Seth, Enos, Cainan, Mahalalel, and Enoch. In total, 600 years have been removed from Genesis 5.
In like manner, in Genesis 11, our Hebrew text says that Arphaxad lived 35 years and begot Shelah. However, the Septuagint says 135 years. Josephus says 135 years. The Samaritan Pentateuch says 135 years. And so we need to correct every generation from Arphaxad to Serug, and also add 600 years to Genesis 11. Make that 650 years, because there are 50 years missing from Nahor’s age. And when we include Cainan in Genesis 11 (LXX Genesis 10:24; 11:12, 13; Luke 3:36), we must add an extra 130 years.
Based on these findings, I believe the world is about 7400 years old. If we correct the Hebrew text from the Septuagint, we have to add 1386 years to our standard chronology. This turns 6000 years into around 7400 years.
Furthermore, Josephus wrote that the Jewish books of the Old Testament contain 5000 years of history. The last book of the Old Testament is Malachi, which scholars date to around 430 BC. According to Josephus, we must therefore have 5000 years before 430 BC, which gives us a creation date of 5430 BC and therefore an age of the earth of around 7450 years.
The world is therefore about 1400 or 1450 years older than we have assumed on the basis of the falsified Hebrew text! At the moment I haven’t made any videos on this. However, Nathan Hoffman’s video on TH-cam, titled “Were the Pyramids Built Before the Flood?” does a fairly good job of presenting this subject.
I challenge you to investigate this matter for yourself! The world is close to 7400 years old! The Rabbis altered the scriptures to disprove Jesus being the Messiah! (And it’s not just the chronology, they also removed countless prophecies about Jesus, most of which are still in the Septuagint, and some of which are quoted in the New Testament. As an example see Hebrews 10:5 with Psalm 40:6. The prophecy reading “a body You have prepared for Me” has been eradicated from the text; yet the Septuagint correctly preserved the prophecy. This is just one example, but I have found at least forty such examples.)

I found this video both astounding and frustrating. In 60+ years as a baptized SDA, I never heard that the Millerites taught 6000 years ended in 1844. Truly William Miller's dream about the "Dirt Brush"(recorded in Early Writings) has come true. Truly all the "jewels of Truth" he discovered have thrown in the rubbish. Just a quick glance through the comments shows that there are literally dozens of theories about the 6000 years.
I did some searching but couldn't find the chronology that Pastor Drebit refers to that puts creation in 4157 BC
I find it very compelling and in alignment with our teachings on the Day of Atonement, but won't repeat it without clarifying the chronology issue.
Setting even approximate dates for Christ's return never has produced good fruit.

TOTAL CONFUSION to take general statements of 4,000 or 6,000 years and apply them to 1844 or 2027, and 6,000 is NOT when Christ comes. 2 Peter 3:8-10 clearly says in the context of a day as 1000 years that "God is not slack" (meaning no tarrying or delay--something is happening like an egg that is incubating and going to hatch soon) "God is not slack...the day of the Lord will come" 2Peter 3:10. "The day of the LORD" is the end-time exteniion of "the night of the LORD" when God executed judgment on Egypt as He will on the world in the end-time period of 7 years when "trumpet after trumpet shall sound" (EW also implied they will come yearly in GC 399.4
A cluster of signs in 2015 included "the day of the LORD" in Joel 2:21 & 1Thess 5:1-3, as well las the abomination sign to flee the cities of Matt 24:15. They were a 7-year warning ending in 2023, but the biblical year did not end in December, but in the spring, Exodus 12:2. What Hamas did to initiate Zechariah 14:1,2 extends to this spring when we may expect Joel 3:16 in response to Zech 14:1,2. ALSO, "the day of the LORD" is a day of darkness. Google "Dark Day"--it was May 19, 1780 but God repeated the sign when Mt St Helens erupted and wind carried its ashes over night to darken 3 NW states on May 19, 1980, the 200th anniversary! WHY? It's so important that God was also marking the Catholic Gregorian Calendar that has NO relationship between new moon and new month, but THIS YEAR, May 19 has UNIQUE significance because Christ said, you don't know the day or hour, BUT AS THE DAYS OF NOAH, and this year, May 19 is the day that Noah entered the ark (for safety and salvation) Will it be a dark day? Maybe with an EMP attack so the US power grid is down and Deputy Director of Homeland Security said it will take a year for the transformers to be rebuilt because they are specific for each site. If you read the writings of the SDA pioneers you see that the only reason some believed that the 6000 years ended in 1844 was that they believed that both 1844 and the 6000 years were the end of the world. Once they saw that 1844 was not the end they saw that the 6000 years were in the future. After 1844 there were many prominent SDA pioneers writing about the 6000 as being in the future:
James White, J. N. Andrews, J. N. Loughborough, O.R.L Crosier, Joseph Bates, S. N. Haskell, J. H. Waggoner, W. H. Littlejohn, W. A. I wonder why this quote that applies to Daniel 9:27 is not presented in this presentation nor Walter Veith’s video on the end of time. If we calculate 4000years from 31AD we come to 3970-3971 BC you must subtract 1 year when crossing to 1AD. Then add 33 1/2
The period that Christ lived as the second Adam when Adam must have sinned and needed a sacrifice to atone for their sin it comes to 4004 BC the beginning of creation. This I confirmed by EGW stamen hat Christ took man’s nature after the race had wonder for 4000 years. He was born 4BC. Nearly two thousand years ago, a voice of mysterious import was heard in heaven, from the throne of God, ‘Lo, I come.’ ‘Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body has thou prepared me.... Lo, I come (in the volume of the Book it is written of Me,) to do Thy will O God.’ Hebrews 10:5-7. In these words is announced the fulfillment of the purpose that had been hidden from eternal ages. Christ was about to visit our world, and to become incarnate... In the eyes of the world He possessed no beauty that they should desire Him; yet He was the incarnate. CCh 30.3
Jesus was just about to yield up his life to bring life and immortality to light. Christ, amid his sufferings, and being daily rejected of men, looks down the lines two thousand years to his church which would be in existence in the last days, before the close of this earth's history. 3SM 18.2 from the death of Christ to the end there would be 2000 yrs. Hosea 6:2 After two days will he revive us: In the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his side. 2 days = 2000 years. The Good Samaritan parable he leaves the I’ll man in the Inn and comes back after 2 days. In Matt. 17:1,2 After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. 2 There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light. 3 Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus. This is a mini picture of the second coming Elijah representing those who are alive and Moses those who are resurrected. As far as 2 Pet. 3:8,9 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.’ This is fix time that God has given like the 7 day week of creation. God is not going to shorten the 6000 years. What will be short is the period of the latter rain to finish His work in righteousness. Satan knows when the 6000 years will end that’s why he has agenda 2030. The four thousand day in the Bible is found in Ex. 12:3-6 3 Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying: ‘On the tenth of this month every man shall take for himself a lamb, according to the house of his father, a lamb for a household. 4 And if the household is too small for the lamb, let him and his neighbor next to his house take it according to the number of the persons; according to each man’s need you shall make your count for the lamb. 5 Your lamb shall be without[a] blemish, a male [b]of the first year. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats. 6 Now you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month. Then the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it at twilight.

When we study Bible, we have to study the Bible alone!

The Sunday law is not there to wake people up. The Sunday law is the final test of the people of God. We need to wake up NOW! The midnight cry was “the bridegroom cometh”. That woke up the sleeping virgins. We can’t wait for the Sunday law to wake us up. The shaking is happening now. This sermon is the preaching of the straight testimony and it is offending people as evidenced by the comments here. They want to make up interpretations to suit their fancy. This is how the SOP is made of none effect. We give lip service to EGW but make her say what we want to hear.
If we are waiting for the Sunday Law to be woken up we will find ourselves not ready.

How can God be waiting for His people when you see statements like these "But like the stars in the vast circuit of their appointed path, God's purposes know no haste and no delay. Through the symbols of the great darkness and the smoking furnace, God had revealed to Abraham the bondage of Israel in Egypt, and had declared that the time of their sojourning should be four hundred years. “Afterward,” He said, “shall they come out with great substance.” Against that word, all the power of Pharaoh's proud empire battled in vain. On “the selfsame day” appointed in the divine promise, “it came to pass, that all the hosts of the Lord went out from the land of Egypt.” So in heaven's council the hour for the coming of Christ had been determined".

Which means we might not really know exactly how old the world is. I read once that the orthodox Jews are not exactly sure and they are inclined to think that Adam and Eve were in the garden for around 33 years before they were thrown out. Another point that should be mentioned is that the Bible has several millennial historical markers in it that no one ever seems to recognize. Scripture also states that a day is as a thousand years and a thousand years as a day relative to God's estimation and experience. In addition, many notable Bible teachers and preachers have espoused that Christ would return at the end of 6,000 years of sin. This goes back to early Jewish times BC and all through the ages up to our modern day. This notion has never been forgotten, though at times in human history, belief in God and HIs word was very unpopular. At the same time, God has often put his hand over the light of prophetic knowledge and times in order to test the faith of His people.

If you think God is coming on the Day of Atonement, why are you not thinking it could be the actual Day of Atonement, as this guy even said--- or expect God to come on October 23? We should be keeping the festivals now, today, so we know what day will be the real Day of Atonement in the year Jesus actually does come.

The Bible nor EGW speak of a 6000-year prophecy. Besides, the Masoretic chronology was drastically altered; the Greek LXX retains the correct chronology. Also, chronology cannot be determined by the years given for kings. There are co-regencies and many other variables, which is why chronologists are all across the board as to how long the kings were. The longest prophetic time is 2520. And according to true biblical chronology, Creation is 5437 BCE; so, 6000 years ended many centuries ago.

It states a general statement of the facts that Jesus had no controversy with satan and that satan was perfecting his skills for 4000 years. Ellen White chooses to point the period of 4000 years as the time when satan was perfecting his skill that took place on this earth primarily and not in heaven

Greatly enjoyed the biblical chronology. Very interesting regarding 6000yrs and 1844. The numbers certainly add up. As for the EGW statements regarding 4000 & 6000yrs, the signs of the times, especially the acceleration of calls for Sunday rest in the USA, show the final crisis is at the door.
No man knows the day nor the hour of His return, so even if you extrapolate to 2027 or 2031, any confidence you place in such dates comes at the expense of your daily preparation for the coming crisis. If we can't see the signs of the times such year predictions will not move us either. Also we know, "except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved" (Matt 24:22) If you're holding on to 2027 or 2031 then you will be caught out by the rapidity of the final events and the shortening of that time frame..... thanks Mackenzie for the refocus on our Laodicean condition and our great need of revival. Certainly God has been waiting for us but, "He will not always strive with us: neither will he keep his anger for ever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. Ps 103:9,10
When the soon coming NSL occurs in the US, judgement will begin with the house of God and only by Christ empowered faithfulness will we stand and be fitted for the Loud cry message through the Latter rain.

      DANIEL 12
The typical dates assigned by Adventist interpreters to the two long prophetic time periods (1290 and 1335 years) found in Daniel 12:11-12Open in Logos Bible Software (if available), are 508-1798 for the 1290 days/years and 508-1843 for the 1335-day/year period.
However, these dates don’t seem to be very convincing because Daniel 12 is an epilogue for the entire book of Daniel and clearly refers to the end time, resurrection, and second advent. Therefore these two last prophetic periods should be linked with the final events. We can see this idea in Daniel 12 in the specific words used there. Expressions such as “time of trouble” (the final persecution of God’s people), “your people shall be delivered”, “those who sleep shall awake”, and “seal the book until the time of the end” clearly tell us that this chapter goes beyond the year 1843 reaching the very end-time events and the second advent. According to Strong’s concordance, the word “end” used here refers to extremity, border, final, and edge. Therefore, the time periods found in Daniel 12:11-12Open in Logos Bible Software (if available) should refer to the end of the world’s history and not merely the year 1843. In addition, Daniel was already given the explanation related to the years 1798 and 1844 in the previous chapters. He didn’t need merely a repetition of basically the same prophecy. Obviously, he wanted to know more about the end of the last horrible persecution of God’s people and about the time of Christ’s return.
‌Adventist interpreters suggest 508 AD as the starting date for both prophetic periods of Daniel 12:11-12Open in Logos Bible Software (if available). At that time the question of supremacy between the Catholic and Arian branches of Christianity was settled in favour of Catholicism by the subjection of the Arian tribes by Clovis, king of the Franks. Using the day-for-a-year rule (Numbers 14:34Open in Logos Bible Software (if available) and Ezekiel 4:6Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)), this makes the 1290 days (years) end in 1798 (at the same time as the 1260 years). If we start the 1335 days (years) at the same time (508 AD), it brings us to 1843, very near the year 1844 which is the end of the 2300 years of Daniel 8:14Open in Logos Bible Software (if available).
The truth, however, is that the event claimed to be the beginning of those prophetic periods doesn’t seem to match the description of the starting point because at that time the “daily sacrifice” was supposed to be “taken away”. The subjection of the Arian tribes by Clovis, king of the Franks as a starting date for Catholic supremacy doesn’t sound like a very convincing match for “abolishing the daily sacrifice”.
A much more meaningful and significant date than 508 AD for the time of abolishing the daily sacrifices is the year 597 BC. According to the SDA Bible Commentary and numerous other sources, in 597 BC Nebuchadnezzar’s invaded Jerusalem and plundered the temple (2 Kings 24). Shortly before the arrival of the Babylonian army, prophet Jeremiah removed the ark from the temple and hid it in one of the caves (2 Maccabees 2:4-8Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)). In addition, we also read that Nebuchadnezzar “carried all Jerusalem into exile”, which must have included all priests, because “only the poorest people of the land were left” (2 Kings 24:14Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)).
Since, because of Israel’s continual sin, the temple was plundered and deprived of the ark, God’s presence and priests it practically seized to exist. For this reason, the daily sacrifices came to an end.
‌Now, having established 597 BC as the start date for the first long prophetic period of 1290 years (Daniel 12:11Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)), we must now add to it 1290 years to set the end date of the same period. As a result, we have the year 692 AD. Can this date provide an important event that could be described as the “abomination of desolation” and fit the definition given in Daniel 12:11Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)?
Well, when we accept the year 597 BC as the starting date of 1290 years, then the closing date of 692 AD also matches the description of Daniel 12:11Open in Logos Bible Software (if available). Various reliable historical sources confirm that the year 692 AD is associated with the completion of constructing the Dome of the Rock (>, >, >). This fact perfectly fits the description provided by Daniel who defines that event as another “abomination of desolation” (Daniel 12:11Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)) because a pagan temple was built on the holy site of God’s temple.
Now, since we have dates for the first prophetic period established, let us move to Daniel 12:12Open in Logos Bible Software (if available) and deal with the second period.
Immediately after Daniel was told about 1290 days/years (Daniel 12:11Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)), another long prophetic period of 1335 days/years was added to the previous one: “Blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the end of the 1,335 days” (Daniel 12:12Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)).
Daniel was told that “blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the end of 1,335 days (years)” as if to suggest that we are to wait for another 1335 years to reach the blessed time of Christ’s return.
What date do we get when we “wait” another 1335 years from the end of the 1290-year period?
When we add 1335 years to 692 AD, it leads us to the year 2027 AD!
‌This interpretation is more convincing because it fits the end-time context and the scenario of Daniel 12 much better:
      1) The daily sacrifice is abolished (597 BC - the Temple was plundered after the Ark of Covenant was removed from it).
      2) The abomination of desolation follows 1,290 years later (the Dome of Rock build on the temple ground in 692 AD).
      3) After the Abomination (692 AD) we must wait 1,335 more years for the “blessing” leading to the year 2027 and the deliverance of the persecuted Christians, the return of Christ, and the resurrection of all true believers, including Daniel).
The fact that the same year 2027 can be established on the basis of not one but three separate sources (the jubilee and sabbatical years, Daniel 12:11-12Open in Logos Bible Software (if available), and the Spirit of Prophecy), should finally wake us up and make us very happy as it increases the probability that this time the return of the Lord is very close indeed! If the year 2027 is correct and if it refers to the second advent then we can expect that the final events should start taking place very soon.

If you believe that Ellen White is a prophet then you know that the earth wasn't 6k years old in 1844. Because she wrote in her book the Great Controversy, which was written after 1844. That "the great controversy between Christ and Satan, that has been carried forward for nearly six thousand years, is soon to close." If it's no one's business to add 2k+4k what business do we have at guessing at adding up all the chronologeis of the begats and reigns of kings? These have lots of variables. Just to mention one variable a child's birthday could be on the last day of the last month, and his father's birthday could be on the first day of the first month. We know that a day to the God is 1k years and that the earth will keep the Sabbath. Also we know that “After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.” Christ also said destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. he spake of the temple of his body. But, know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? It's been almost two of God's days 2k years since Jesus said this and He'll be coming soon for His people! Another thing is that God created man on the sixth day and breathed into him the breath of life. I don't believe that the latter rain has fallen yet. But when it does it will be before the earth's Sabbath starts, and before the end of 6k years. Christ when with his disciples said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost. Most of us Christians are somewhat dead and haven't had our hearts recreated by the Holy Spirit to be ready for the Lords 1k years Sabbath. Also we know that the prophets spoke more for our time than theirs. If it's already been over 6k years since sin has been on earth please let me how does satan knows that he has a short time?

In love and in humility, I reiterate my comment (below) on Part 1 of the presentation. Part 2 correctly discusses 4,000 and 6,000 year milestones but NOT in connection with the reign of sin OF HUMANITY - not the duration of Satan’s sin, among others, which started in heaven. The discussions in Parts 1 and 2 should have focused exclusively on the reign of humanity’s sin and its ending. And the start of that reign (which is 6,000) had been unequivocally identified in SOP as already 4,000 in 27 AD. The end of 6,000 years of sin had also been unequivocally identified as the time the earth was renewed and turned over to the saints. Unfortunately this end of 6000 years of sin mentioned in Adventist Home was NOT taken up in both parts of the presentation.
Is the “time no more” scripture which ended in 1844 days violated? I humbly submit NO simply because there is no specific or definite time identified when the 6,000 years will end - in fact SOP clearly suggests it will end immediately before the earth is renewed and turned over to the saints which is a scenario after the millennium. Please allow me to repost my first comment👇:
“Where does it say in the Bible that the millennial reign in heaven is after 6000 years? What I know from the Bible is that such millennial reign is to be ushered in by the Second Coming of Jesus Christ - not the end of 6000 years.
The 6000 years is found in the Spirit of Prophecy and is linked to the reign of sin.”👇
“After six thousand years of sin the earth was renewed. The great plan of redemption results in fully bringing back the world into God's favor. All that was lost by sin is restored. Not only man but the earth is redeemed, to be the eternal abode of the obedient. For six thousand years Satan has struggled to maintain possession of the earth. Now God's original purpose in its creation is accomplished. "The saints of the Most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.” 2 { AH 539.3}”
And the Spirit of Prophecy tells us when this 6000 years of sin began:
“On Jordan's banks the voice from heaven, attended by the manifestation from the excellent glory, proclaimed Christ to be the Son of the Eternal. Satan was to personally encounter the Head of the kingdom which he came to overthrow. If he failed he knew that he was lost. Therefore the power of his temptations was in accordance with the greatness of the object which he would lose or gain. For four thousand years, ever since the declaration was made to Adam that the seed of the woman should bruise the serpent's head, he had been planning his manner of attack. { Con 78.2 }”.
I can’t help noticing that the foregoing cited testimonies were not mentioned in the presentation. I hope they will be tackled/included in Part 2. I find this relevant because SOP guides us that -
“Regarding the testimonies, nothing is ignored; nothing is cast aside; but time and place must be considered. Nothing must be done untimely. Some matters must be withheld because some persons would make an improper use of the light given. Every jot and tittle is essential and must appear at an opportune time. In the past, the testimonies were carefully prepared before they were sent out for publication. And all matter is still carefully studied after the first writing. 15M 57.2
    Selected Messages Book 1, p. 57.2”
In this connection, it bears stressing that the first above-cited testimony (i.e. turning over the restored kingdom to the saints…) is a third coming scenario after Satan (the root) the resurrected wicked (the branch) are reduced to ashes. This will lead one to conclude that the 6000 reign of sin is interrupted by the Second Coming and the Millennium. This will further lead to another conclusion that the six thousand reign of sin which is already 4000 when Jesus was baptized in 27 AD will not end in 2027 but rather after the millennium based on the first afore-cited testimony.
As it cannot be ascertained when before 2027 will the 6000 reign of sin will be interrupted, the “no date-setting testimony” is not violated.”

And I just wonder why AD of all the ministries is missing these quotes... guess these misinterpretations pushed Veith away from AD, they cannot continue in this trajectory. And by the way knowing when or around which years is the 6000 years ending does not translate to date setting

6000 years of humanity’s sin is supposed to end 2027 reckoned from the fall. It was already 4000, as SOP declares, in 27 AD at Jesus baptism. But rather than 2027, it will end after the Third Coming when the earth is renewed/restored and turned over to the saints.
It follows that the Second Coming and the Millennium will interrupt the 6000 years which is supposed to end in 2027 - and will run again after the Millennium when Satan is loosed a little season.
Where we are in the stream of time is clearly tackled by Ptr Walter Veith in Episode 8 of What’s Up Prof.
      GOD bless you.

Elder , You are incorrect about the date for the start of Captivity as being 596 B.C. The reason why is because we place the reign of Medo -Persia starting at 539 B.C , EGW states that Darius reigned for two years. Cyrus became king in 537B.C. thereby ending the 70 years of captivity ( direct quote from prophets and Kings pg 557). EITHER YOU ARE WRONG, or I AM WRONG, or GOD IS WRONG. Which is it? Because 537 plus 70 = 607 B.C marking the year Daniel and his friends where taken into Babylon. Please write back to me.

    “In the midst of the week He shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease.” In A.D. 31, three and a half years after His baptism, our Lord was crucified. With the great sacrifice offered upon Calvary, ended that system of offerings which for four thousand years had pointed forward to the Lamb of God. Type had met antitype, and all the sacrifices and oblations of the ceremonial system were there to cease. { GC 327.3}
With this statement from the spirit of prophesy we see the sacrificial system was 4000 years old, and ended with the crucifixion of Jesus, an exact length of time. The sacrificial system started when Adam and Eve sinned.

From jesus death till 2031 will end the 6000yr. The day and hour we don’t know. Plus Gods calendar is 360 days in a year. His days are from evening to evening. So mans calendar is off by who knows? We just know we are entering into the Ballpark, only time can tell.

Essenes calendar was a sort of luni-solar thing at 364 days and they seemed focused on 2025. The Rev.12, 12 stars in Virgo event of Sept. 2017 gave us a 2020 year review of 3 B.C 9-11 birth. Unless you think Christs ministry began at age 30 & 75 days....oh well, theres always been a 3 day slippage( 40 times mentioned in scrip) and always overlaps of civil & religious calendars, especially since Hezekiahs turning back of the sun dial obelisk...all nations changed their calendars within 10 years of that event.

His baptism /wilderness temptation was 4,000 years. Which means 27ad was the 4,000 years, and 2027 is the 6,000 years. If you believe Daniel 12 timelines, everything starts in 2024.

Let's review what the young pastor has shown us. All the 4,000 and 6,000 year statements are in general context. We can agree. However, they are given to give us an estimate in terms of relative time. The 4,000 years, for example, are given in terms of specific events that all revolve around the incarnate life of Christ and what He was to accomplish by that life. All those events fall within less than 40 years of each other. Was there a specific prophetic time indicated by a Bible prophet within that time range? This is what the young pastor does not investigate.
The 6,000 year general time estimates are really all over the place. It is highly general in that if you took some of her statements literally, they would have over a century of discrepancy between them. But one fact is certain, the 4,000 year estimates and 6,000 year estimates are numerically related to one another and they both suggest millennial periods of time or else why even mention those numbers at all?
The third point that should be taken is that when Mrs. White was referring to "time setting", she was speaking in the specific context of not reapplying day for year time prophecies into the future for end time events. Secondly, she was speaking specifically in another context about setting a date for the exact day and hour of the Lord's return or second coming. The young pastor is making the mistake of generalizing her statements about "time setting" as a general blanket statement about anything relating to time in the future concerning end time events spoken of in Bible prophecy. However, this she did not do as she had specific context on what she was referring to as "time setting". This also relates to statements she made about no more "prophetic time" or "definite time" as those specifically relate to day for year prophecies that had a date line. A historical investigation of her statements needs to be done to get the entire context of her statements, which very, very few notable SDAs ever do.
Therefore, studies into prophecy about future time and events are only misguided when it is being applied to re-applying time prophecies that have been fulfilled in the past that had date lines and in determining the literal day and hour of Christ's return.
