- RAMesses is an Amiga 500 / 2000 / CDTV upgrade board that uses an Agnus 8375 to provide a 2MB Chip RAM upgrade to an Amiga. What makes it unique is that RAMesses requires no cutting / soldering / jumper modifications to the motherboard. It is designed to be pretty much plug and play.
It has a jumper on it to fall back to having 512KB Chip RAM + 512KB Slow RAM for legacy games that require such a configuration.
This video is of the second prototype board. The final version won't be as vertically tall and will use a better bridge cable.

Awesome :-)
What solution do you have for your power button on the back of this Amiga? Have you fitted a power button to the plug itself? I have be wanting to create something like this for a while but did not know I was not the only one with this idea :)
I use a power supply which is a modified Cisco one. This has a small PCB on the end which has pins in it which fit in the holes of the Amiga's power socket and a switch.
I don't believe this PSU is available in this form any more.
@@linuxjedivideo Thank you for the explanation. That is very cool indeed! You should do a video on it. It is something I have never seen before and seems very unique!
All i would need is a 8371 agnus to get this working, right ?
You would need an 8375 Agnus for this to work (in a socket on the underside of the board). This board remaps the address lines so that an 8375 will work and provides a 2MB RAM chip.
@@linuxjedivideo Do you Know where i can get one ?
@@rogerandrelassen3355 they often come up on eBay. Analogic sell them in the UK too. I will hopefully have some in the next week or two to sell with the boards.
@@linuxjedivideo sweet ! I want one if you dont mind :-)
