  • This yandere girl has been stalking you for awhile...in fact, she's watching you right now! Time to do your best Final Girl impression! Can you survive...WHEN A YANDERE CALLS?
    [F4A] [Horror] [Creepy] [Dark] [Yandere] [Calls You] [Stalks] and [Hunts You] [Meet Cute Gone Bad] [Sweet to Scary] [Horror Movie References] [Slasher Vibes] [Open Ending] [Headphones Recommended!]
    Performer: Vanilla Velvet Audio
    Script by: NovAlphaPapa on reddit, with adlibs by me!
    SFX: freesound.org all under public domain/CC0 licenses
    HERE FOR THE BOOS DAY 5: This dark yandere girl asmr rp is a bit more menacing than my usual fare but 'tis the season to be scary! I've done loving yandere girls, shy yandere girls, possessive yandere girls and even sassy and sad yanderes here and there, but I've never gone full HORROR yandere before!
    Fair warning! This audio roleplay is more spooky than cute, so beware! I could have easily gone even darker with the scary yandere vibes, because I was having so much fun, but I didn't want to frighten you all away! Anyway! I hope you all enjoy this creepy stalker girl as much as I enjoyed performing her. 😍💖🔪

    There NEEDS to be a 3D first-person animation of this; it was so viscerally realistic and genuine on a level you just don't find in most voice work, and for this not to be made into something visible would be a missed opportunity for the world in general.
    Standing ovation, Miss Vanilla; just when I think you can't possibly be better than you already are, you shatter the ceiling!
    If I could do a Metal Gear audio this real, I absolutely would.

      Hahaha, I think if anyone ever animated one of my audios I might *actually* die because it would basically be my childhood dream come true. And thank you! I love stretching to reach new heights.
      I totally believe you've got it in you to make an audio this real. Real talk: I knew zilch about practical audio engineering/editing a few months ago. I mean, absolutely NOTHING. I had the advantage of being a film nerd before I started this, so I wasn't totally unfamiliar with the concept of foley work and stuff, but I could clip a sound file into pieces and that was basically it. If I can do it, you definitely can! 💖

    This seems like a twist from the normal content since it's probably a unwilling listener is their running! It's great thx for the kept up content, and keep up the good work my friend ;)
    [Edit: Quick correction, prob not Yandere, it's a murder audio. the only way it's possibly be yandere is if she considers the cutie part for it. lol]

    • @VanillaVelvetAudio
      @VanillaVelvetAudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว +31

      Personally, I'd consider it a dark yandere for a few reasons. First, the audio is (intentionally) open ended and nobody dies. Will she murder the listener after the audio ends? Is she just out for terrified cuddles? Is this a date night sexy roleplay between Listener and their yandere girlfriend? Who knows! It's really up to the listener. Second, she emphasizes "romantic" elements of horror movies ("I'm your girlfriend now"; "It was always you, Helen"). And finally, calling listener cutie and focusing on them being hers rather than immediately going stabby-stabby.

    • @abnerhavoc4791
      @abnerhavoc4791 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@VanillaVelvetAudio kk, thx (thats kinda why i said probably but not certainly/100%).
      also I'm loving the Sexy roleplay idea it makes it even more hilarious! thx for clearing that up btw.
      P.S. The reason I thought the murder was a bigger probability was because of all the hinting towards death and murder and her being crazy, but as a very well read weeb I also know this can be a trick so the twist is bigger (by well read weeb I mean first off I've watched a lot of anime, and read a huge amount of manga and I tend to be able to guess things that are going to happen quite often, ruining it for myself, but yeah).

      First, when I started, I was just recording on my phone (I’ve since been gifted a hand-me-down mic), and I found a very helpful video that let me get the best out of my audio quality:
      th-cam.com/video/zH4MNK1-L7g/w-d-xo.html
      The tutorial is for iphone but it’s solid advice for beginners no matter what you’re using.
      Second: build yourself a tiny studio. It doesn’t have to be fancy. I took a crate and filled it with some foam, stuck my phone in there on a little stack of books and boom, my audio quality went through the roof. If that’s not an option, just find your thickest blanket and record under there in a quiet room. It cuts down on background noise and reverb, which makes editing much easier and makes your audio sound better.
      Third: Get a pop filter if you can-even just putting some cloth in front of the mic helps-and don’t speak too close to the mic. That will cut down on weird mouth sounds and other issues so you’ll have to do less editing.
      Fourth: learn Audacity, and how to improve your post-production sound. Here’s the tutorial that taught me how to improve my audio quality quick and easy:
      th-cam.com/video/dQCB72S64L4/w-d-xo.html
      Less technical stuff:
      Enunciate! Emote! And edit! That will put you SO far ahead of the pack. And finally, believe in yourself! It’s scary trying a new thing! But you can do it!
      Break a leg!

      Oooh! Which ones are yours? I think the first kill is probably my favorite in the OG Scream because of how it plays so perfectly with genre expectations right up to the actual death--one stab isn't an insta-kill! Strangulation is hard and takes a long time! She fights back, and pretty darn well for someone who isn't the final girl! It's basically perfect, imo. I'm generally pretty ~over~ postmodernism in my genre films, but every part of Scream just hits *chef kiss* different.

  • @sonofccn
    @sonofccn 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Well that was a fantastic Halloween treat. You did a spectacular job conveying this slowly building tension and dread of the situation. I have to be honest the whole screen going dark only to be lit by a sputtering candle actually got a jump from me. The candle being blown out at the end was also a nice touch. Such a lovely "hint". xD
    Was curious if the references towards "Black Christmas" were something of a hint to the Listener. I mean one of things I find so creepy about the original movie, besides how you never find out who he is or why he doing the things he's doing, is how the film starts with him already inside the house slowly picking off the unaware girls one by one where they were ostensibly the most safe. So I guess I was curious if killer yandere was giving a playful hint to the listener she was already inside and all their locking doors and checking windows was a waste of their time.
    But yeah. Loved this video and think you are phenomenal at doing these. I almost shudder to think what you could do going "darker".
    Edit: Just wanted to add in addition to a genuinely scary tone that really drew me in, I thought you did a marvelous job managing to make the killer yandere still have a "cute" element to her. From her horror/slasher movie references to her treating this whole thing like some odd date night for her.

    • @VanillaVelvetAudio
      @VanillaVelvetAudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I could lie and take credit for being clever enough for that to be the implication, but I'll be honest and admit it's been a minute since I saw Black Christmas and I didn't think of that. 😆
      I think one of the biggest things I adore about Black Christmas is how it plays with that sense of false security. Not just that the killer is in the sorority house with them before they even notice anyone is dead, but that with the obscene phone calls and the fact nobody outside takes them seriously, the girls have basically never been safe even before the killings started. There has always been someone intruding on their space, making them FEEL imperiled, now it's just escalated to the worst possible inevitably violent conclusion.
      It really violates the audience's expectations about safety in film, this kind of unspoken contract we all have with the tropes. Movies tend to either relocate the cast into a dangerous environment where the action begins or the characters' lives were normal before danger intrudes on a previously safe location. Not so in Black Christmas. The sorority girls are not just unsafe when the plot kicks in, *they were never safe to begin with*. It's so. fucking. GOOD.
      Anyway! I think it's pretty obvious that I, um, might have been drawing on something with all those horror references ^^; I hope I get to do more spooky things in the future, though I don't currently have any ideas about how to top this one. I'm so glad you liked this as much as you did!

    • @sonofccn
      @sonofccn 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@VanillaVelvetAudio
      Never really thought the phone calls in that context before but I see what you mean about it being an intrusion of their space. Even before he was physically killing them he was already attacking them mentally. To, in a manner of speaking, force himself on the girls despite their wishes even in the very sanctum where they, and the audience, have every right to expect them to be safe.
      But yeah. If we're talking sheer tension and ability to unnerve you I'd argue Black Christmas has Halloween beat, and I think Halloween is a fantastic movie. That scene with Margot Kidder, IIRC, waking up with the killer standing over her framed in shadows...
      Anyway, I had a blast with this audio. So much I even forgot to do a "boob joke" because of the thumbnail. So looking forward to if/when you do another spooky audio.

      Thank you! I’m so pleased you enjoyed this audio enough to ask for more of the same!
      Usually when people ask for a sequel to one of my audios, I try not to rule out the possibility that one might happen, but I’m not sure I’d want to do an official follow up to this one. A sequel would require nailing down a “true” ending and I think I’d prefer to keep it open. It’s a much more personal experience that way.
      So I’m sorry, but for the foreseeable future the answer is no. If the writer ever does a sequel, and it appeals to me enough, I may change my mind.
      I’d love to make more immersive horror audios like this one though! And I certainly intend to. So stay tuned!

    Nooooo! I'm not good with scary stuff!
    Her voice gave me literal chills, I was just waiting for her to pop up at any moment and when the listener started searching with the whole heartbeat and running around I started looking around my room just because I felt I was being watched. The only thing I would change is instead of the whole speech she gave at the end if she had softly blown the match and just said "Got you" and the video ended I would have been honestly spooped.
    I may not enjoy it in the same way as some of your other videos (simply because I'm a scaredy cat) but still I can appreciate the quality of the video, like you really managed to give her a chilling voice and demeanor.
    As a final note: Why couldn't we invite her to watch the scary movie with us? A:We would have company and B: All this situation wouldn't have happened!
    Anyways, keep up the great work and keep being awesome!

      Thank you! And thank you especially for listening to something outside your comfort zone! Please don't feel obligated to do so in the future, though. 💖 There's nothing wrong with being a scaredy-cat (there are some topics even I won't touch in media, and I'm a hardcore horror fiend!) and I love making fluffy audios for my audience just as much (maybe even more?) than scary ones. Horror really isn't for everyone, and that's fine. That's why I'm doing so many different kinds of audios this month for every taste. 🥰

    • @testbug2910

      Thank you for worrying about me, you really didn't have to! While horror may not be something I actively search for, I can certainly enjoy it in small doses, I may become unnerved during some parts but after it's done it doesn't tend to affect me (of course there are movies and games I wouldn't even approach with a ten-foot pole).
      But enough about myself, what I wanted to say to you is: I love the normal fluff you do, but I hope you continue experimenting and expanding your horizons, it changes things up (too much sweetness can be bad for your health you know :P) and who knows you may find a genre of audio you especially enjoy making, so... do what makes you happy :)
