I enjoy painting the words of the sutras and the tao te jing on plain brown packaging paper, and use styrofoam etc. from my neighbor's online purchases to carve and paint frames to hang these words in the gonguan 🎉
You are so right about walking the path of mastery! Is its own reward.

There was a time in my life i forgot what i liked. I did not go to sports, i did not draw anymore. After a 20 year rest of everythin what fullfilled me, i try to connect to joy again.

I enjoy playing my guitar and photographing nature as I encounter it. Recently I have become interested in flower arrangements for special occasions.
These are all joyful things for me and I thank you for helping me appreciate them even more.

In 2010-2012 I was interested in Japanese culture and history. I had read The book of Samurai (Hagakure), I admired Japanese culture, but after years during my first job and other stuff I just left my hobby.
Through the years I was searching for some mentaly basis (spirituality or religion). I learned about Christianity and Islam, but it didn't work for me.
How to return my interest to Bushido and Japanese culture? Thank you)

These videos are better for understanding Japanese cultural practices than most university programs in America. 教えてくれてありがとうございます!!

Thank you! I needed this important reminder, today. I have been practicing beadwork for 32 years, but working and commuting did not leave me energy to practice as much as I could have devoted. Due to health problems, I had to retire 4 years ago and I have periods where I can devote energy to this interest, but I have been working on a single project for the last 5 months and I thought I was almost finished, but this past Friday, I realized that I would have to cut some of the work done, to salvage the beads and redo this last part. In the past, I have quite willingly cut apart projects if there was a better method, but this time, I have felt mild despair, partially because of low energy, partially because I have worked so long on the project, and partially because cold weather has come early to where I live. But watching your video reminds me that a finished project is only a part of why I pursue this craft; some days, I can not forget my problems and clear my head while I do beadwork. But on the days that I can pot my problems aside while I work, well, for me it is like meditation, it calms me and gives my life purpose. Thank you for reminding me of this fact.😊

I like to woodwork and grow exotic plants. I've been doing both for years, but I'm still not very good at either.
