Far less than most first world countries but they're there. The country just does a good job at hiding them and they're not as easy to point out because they don't have a rampant drug issue like the US and they're not just roaming the streets like zombies.
And it also keeps them safe, as homeless people are targets for random acts of violence, especially at night while they are sleeping. Our government should be taking notes. There is no excuse for why we have so many homeless people in North America. The government could give people business start up money (like they already do) but to start something like this in each city, and see how it goes.

Especially the past year it's helped, as I've also been dwellingless, living in a tent right next to train tracks; as you can imagine, the trains don't ever stop coming all night, until like 3am. The $5.99 pack of 20 earplugs I got on Amazon awhile ago have been putting in a lot of work lol.
lol i use silicon ear plugs too, i cant sleep without them now. i also use a white noise machine to block more of the airborne sounds. i have noisy neighbors that live above and this really helps.
This video just popped up in my feed & I'm lovin' the vibes. A couple years ago I was homeless & living in a tent in the woods along with a few friends. Every other day or so I would load up all of our electronics & head to a local park where I would spend the night charging everything. If you happen to read this I want you to know that watching you explain your process was 100% the most relatable moment I have ever experienced through social media. Thank you for that! I'm so excited to see more of your adventures.

I hope this helps toward your next stay! I’ve always had a love for Japan, and though I’m not able to visit, I’d be honored if you’d drink a fresh, ice-cold Coca-Cola for me. (Make sure it’s crisp and cold, sir!)
i remember i used to be homeless at one point i never had places like this where i live i had to spend my night at bus station or parking lots etc... now i have my own apartment and run my own business. i always loved japan and that love will never change. you keep going brother i wish you all the best. god is great ❤
That was an angry bird! The Christmas cloak was perfect on him. You are a hard worker. I never realized how much work it took to be a TH-camr. Much respect Robin.
I've been following your channel for quite a while and just wanted to say its refreshing to see someone so content with very little possessions and always sounding positive, here in Australia and most of the western world we are so caught up in having the best car, house, phone ect. we forget how lucky we are to even be alive and in good health. I am coming to Japan for my first time in January and depending on where we both are id love to meet you and shake your hand. Oshiete kurete arigatō.
I’ve subscribed to you awhile back but I went through a lot of medical challenges and now I can watch again, hope you are doing well, you seem to be doing so much better than you were before, cheers brother! ❤
Can’t get enough of the little comedic moments in your videos. Asking animal-sans to buy your merch or the chin-chin train joke! 😂 They’re now pretty much inside jokes amongst subscribers
Japanese design is very good, always with the people in mind. In other less expensive hostels, normally bathrooms are normally big halls with small rooms and the washing sink are shared by quests. This is an independent room for one person.
I'm a truck driver and that extra 4 hours is a massive difference. We are charged $10 and that only gives us a parking space for the truck that is not even ours. The trucking company does not compensate us for that. Also if you want anything else that costs extra. Like you want a shower that's an $10 to $20 extra. I cant read Japanese but I would assume that you could buy mutable packages back to back. You could buy a two hour package to do all of the things you need to do before sleeping. Buy the 8 hour package to sleep. Then buy another 2 hour package to do all of the things before heading out. Yes that would cost a lot more but its still far more cheaper than renting a hotel room. Can you not use a converter to charge your stuff from the motor bikes battery?
There's always a sense of serenity and calm in all your videos. I love watching your journey and always hope for your best and for you to keep your health! Stay strong brother and best success for you!
I only drink water, and one coffee in the mornings these days, but I rember when thirsty an ice cold coke from a machine just hits different!!! Bottles are also top tier, but still not quite as syrupy as the machine stuff, that stuff is just nectar when gasping xD.
I have lived travelling in a car and had the same issues. So many little things take up so much time and you can't always multitask. A simple thing like a wet towel can be trouble, you can't always dry it outside, you can't leave it in a bag, you can't air it out. I ended up buying a dog towel, it's smaller, like a travel towel and dries faster. Charging devices is always a problem. I bought a 100500 mAh battery. I can charge that in 6 hours and then I could charge things as I travelled around.
13:12 I’m so glad you have a flat bed to sleep because I heard some cafes only have the chair which is impossible to sleep. That would be a nightmare for sure 😓
I'm so glad youtube reccomended me this video it's always impressive seeing people persevere no matter the circumstances I believe in you're van life plan
Im rewatching your Internet cafe stays as I do like seeing you go in an indoor place that’s so cheap yet you can have a decent rest & accommodation. Totally worth it for a much more decent sleep.

It is a little hard to understand, but it says that if you purchase time between 6PM to 4AM, you can stay 12 hours. It used to be 8PM to 4AM, and you would only get 8 hours. So not only do you get 4 more hours, they made it so you can get there earlier and sign in.
Love watching your videos. To make your charging faster, get an extension cord with a lot of outlets on it. That way, you can charge them all at once, so you dont have to wait and just enjoy your sleep. Keep up the good work!
Cokesan was hilarious, not saying good or bad,we know! 1. If you need more time, can you add on to the pkg of time to sleep or edit more? 2. Do you bring your mattress pad in Cafe? 3. Instead of mattress getting the elements, can you put in in the extra bag your friend gave for skateboard?
I think should add a small indoor-parking lot for mopeds, and motorcycles, so that the bikes don’t get stolen! And locks are easily breakable/ hopefully we can convince them to build some at each location. I love that they have these Internet cafes for the homeless. Love to hear this solutions is out there and allievates and helps the situation so u can build your life.
It's fun to watch you do small things to stay considerate whilst making these videos, like speaking quietly in your booth or going into the telephone booth to talk when it was late and people are sleeping.
I'm happy to see that you're moving forward! I was very close to becoming homeless myself, but I got lucky and found a job that will pay all of my bills. Keep your head up high! It is rare to get genuine content from the heart on youtube nowadays. Much love from the US!
In America we have too many people who have stolen occupancy and the charity of churches and government by crossing the border illegally, and it's not a recent problem.
I think you should have earplugs and an eye mask for sleeping in those places. You will have better sleep if you use those things! Great video, thank you for sharing your lifestyle with us.

Their streets are freshly paved and painted. Their sidewalks are clean. No dope dealers in the streets. Stuff can be left out overnight without fear of theft. Wild.
trust me the sidewalks are not always clean. lots of japanese will break the "rules" all the time for some reason you can leave your phone unattended but if you leave your umbrella it will get stolen
It's so quiet and clean there. No drunks or addicts passed out in their own urine. I have seen homeless shelters in the US where people sleep on the floor and they are made to clean the shelter if they wish to stay there
100% agree. I was homeless in Australia for almost 2 years, I went to a homeless shelter once and didn't even make it through the front door before I turned around and left. Sadly most homeless people here are absolutely fucked, there's no nice way to put it. They have either completely fried their brains with drugs or have very serious mental illnesses, neither of which you want to be around. I ended up mainly sleeping on the beach in the sand dunes. It was good for 9 months of the year, winter was a bit shit especially the rainy nights but beggars cant be choosers, and I'd take that over dealing with the bullshit you would in a homeless shelter every day of the week.
New here. You are a very cool, chill dude, good luck buddy I can't wait to see how this next year goes for you. Best of luck and happiness from America
Watch some electronics videos, figure out how to tap Moped San's electrical system to install some USB power outlets so you can charge while you ride. (Make so it only has power when the engine is running and you won't ever have to worry about accidentally draining your bike battery.)

Internet Cafe in Japan, makes me so jealous. Thank you for the tour and update. Have a great weekend.
We use to have similar in the US, they were called SRO (Single Room Occupancy) hotels. But the elitists outlawed them because of NIMBY, they didn't want "poor people" in the neighborhood. So they lobbied government to outlaw them under the excuse that the SROs were "drug dens" and "health hazards". So then instead of SROs we now have people sleeping on the sidewalk, then these city elites dare to call themselves progressives and getting rid of the SROs was progressive, disgusting.
Robin and moped-san drive safe and sleep well
Have a good day !
🙏❤️
i've never been this addicted to a youtuber in my life lol
honestly i love your videos and livestreams robin and i can't wait until van life
200k subs by the end of the year will happen.
Cool!! Super happy to hear that❤️
dude is optionally homeless not financially, remember that. them times have passed for him. he's just leaching at this point.
@@Tyler-xf6fd sure he has more money than the average homeless person but he's not financially stable to the point where he can afford a car and a house or anything that he would actually need in order to live semi-comfortably , to say he's leaching is kind of disrespectful due to the fact that he's not asking anybody to send him money or items , he really does put effort into his videos and into his journey so that still counts me in as a fan no matter how financially stable he is , he is not leaching and if you think he is then you can think that way but at the end of the day it's clear that he does not have a home and that he's not as financially stable as you think he is.
@@Tyler-xf6fd holy fuck you are such a freak
how could you say that about someone who literally volunteered to be homeless to chase their dream, has documented every step of the way of it for us and worked super hard to make this channel only for it to ACTUALLY WORK to the point where he can make a below-livable wage
even if you're trolling this is such a dogshit thing to say. how about you go homeless and start a channel. take the risk. let us know how it goes.

20:16 What really helps me is I've used a wrap around eye mask (just a circle piece of black fabric) and silicon earplugs for the past 4-5 years and I sleep like a brick despite what's happening in the outside.
Was having a rough day myself, but seeing you so excited from the amazing news put a smile on my face. Best vibes from Canada.
Wish we had something like this for little weekend road trips.
I'm from Canada as well, I hope you feel abit better. Internet cafe's here aren't as nice haha
You seem like a cool dude, here's something for your next stay. :)
I appreciate that!
I'm happy when you stay internet cafe. It must seem like luxury when you are camping so much in parks.
Yes I love it❤️
Robin-san! You are amazing! I love following your adventures and listening to your stories and advice. Keep pushing, drinking Coke, and being the sweet and kind person you are. You’ve got this!
Let’s gooooooo!!!!
Such a good comment we love you Robin-san
I hope this helps toward your next stay! My lady and I live deep in the countryside of the USA, and we absolutely loved watching you showcase that amazing business and give us a glimpse into your TH-cam lifestyle. I’ve always had a love for Japan, and though I’m not able to visit, I’d be honored if you’d drink a fresh, ice-cold Coca-Cola for me. (Make sure it’s crisp and cold, sir!)
Broooo the shower. 🤣😂 You make me laugh so hard.
Fight on Robin-san! Van life!! 😁
haha I couldn't help but crack up too
Yup! I laughed my ass off at that moment. 😅😂
That part are straight out JAV videos 🤣🤣🤣
145 K well done , 200 K for Christmas 🎄🎁✨️🏆
Let’s gooooooo!!!!!
No idea why YT algo recommended your channel but I am glad it did. Subbed.
Congrats on hitting your subscribers target for 2024, brother.
i remember i used to be homeless at one point i never had places like this where i live i had to spend my night at bus station or parking lots etc... now i have my own apartment and run my own business. i always loved japan and that love will never change. you keep going brother i wish you all the best. god is great ❤
Danke!
That was an angry bird! The Christmas cloak was perfect on him.
You are a hard worker. I never realized how much work it took to be a TH-camr. Much respect Robin.
Bird was angry he never got to wreck some pigs 😆
I might look a little creepy, but that's the way they made me. 🙄 But I am a Nomad-san in my heart. Let's Go! 💗
Gonta-Saaaan😆 Let’s gooo!!
Thats a nice Idea. ^^
I love you Gonta-San, would love to have you in my bedroom at night hehe
I love the picture you three took together. You have some good friends.
🥰
I'm glad I found your channel, this is a true reality in Japan.
You got this brother, from America, we believe in you!
In America they'd start charging by the hour and call it flexible.
This was the first video of Nomad Push I saw. Since then, I've been working my way through all of Robin-san's videos in order. LET's GOOO!!!!
13:12 I’m so glad you have a flat bed to sleep because I heard some cafes only have the chair which is impossible to sleep. That would be a nightmare for sure 😓
Watching you finally getting some sleep and knowing that you'll be getting a full nights rest is so cathartic.
Glad I found your channel, your travels are interesting and I'm enjoying learning about people's life styles across the globe.
6pm to 4am is technically 10hrs, no? Nomad Saaan! I'm so glad I came across your videos. You are enjoying a quality of life that 90% of global "homeless" can only dream of. Keep living your life, you are an inspiration to many 😊 🙏🏾
It is a little hard to understand, but it says that if you purchase time between 6PM to 4AM, you can stay 12 hours. It used to be 8PM to 4AM, and you would only get 8 hours. So not only do you get 4 more hours, they made it so you can get there earlier and sign in.
That is the book in time frame.
That's enter beween those hours, and you can stay 12 hours after your check in time.
@user-ov4wr5yu4r ohh I see now, thank you for the clarification, that makes sense and is great price for 12hrs stay
Much love from the US!
i choked in my shoarma when u said u wanna see my ..... HAHAHAHAHA
☺️
I appreciate Japan takes care of its people, unlike America...
Japan🙏🙏🙏
They do have problems in other areas like mental health, elderly, and work place
In America we have too many people who have stolen occupancy and the charity of churches and government by crossing the border illegally, and it's not a recent problem.

Wow. Your channel has really grown. I started watching you with just a couple videos. This is amazing. I’m happy you are reaching your goals 🎉
Such a chill personality, like you seem like such a pleasure to travel with, awesome video man
I think you should have earplugs and an eye mask for sleeping in those places. You will have better sleep if you use those things! Great video, thank you for sharing your lifestyle with us.
the shower gag was very fun hahahaha
☺️
You found a perfect customer :) Never seen a bird dressed so fancy. Could use Nomad-merch 100% Some birds are great travelers! The internet cafe is decent and so are you, sponsoring would fit so well.
Great news! Just found your channel. Looking forward to following your journeys. Here, in Canada, the homeless are in a very different social situation. Thanks for your work!
I ADORE how the most played segment of this video is just Nomad geeking out & being joyful over a cup of Coca-Cola with ice. That's just the most wholesome shit I've ever seen.
Their streets are freshly paved and painted. Their sidewalks are clean. No dope dealers in the streets. Stuff can be left out overnight without fear of theft. Wild.
Its not wild its just a culture of people who respects others and their things.
Tame* Actually 😅
It’s called civilization!
where do u get the dope then, vending machine?
trust me the sidewalks are not always clean. lots of japanese will break the "rules" all the time
for some reason you can leave your phone unattended but if you leave your umbrella it will get stolen
I love how organized your moped is! Its a pretty cool little set up youve got there! :) Would love to visit Japan sometime.
It's so quiet and clean there. No drunks or addicts passed out in their own urine. I have seen homeless shelters in the US where people sleep on the floor and they are made to clean the shelter if they wish to stay there
Yeah, and some places can't force ppl to shower even though they need one bad.
It was good for 9 months of the year, winter was a bit shit especially the rainy nights but beggars cant be choosers, and I'd take that over dealing with the bullshit you would in a homeless shelter every day of the week.
well look at wakandian cities like detroit or shitcago its just a shithole of crime and evil
New here. You are a very cool, chill dude, good luck buddy I can't wait to see how this next year goes for you. Best of luck and happiness from America
Wow, everyone is so kind with your donations. I have faith in humanity again.
lol the coke.. no words needed any more... 😊❤

❤😂😂Pepsi SUCKS!!!!!!!😂😂
Only $11 for this quality?? US could never 😭😭 We are too mad-sans
Right? This would cost $40-50 probably
Thanks to Kaikatsu Club🙏
And it would be so dirty in the US or crime to bad

Watch some electronics videos, figure out how to tap Moped San's electrical system to install some USB power outlets so you can charge while you ride. (Make so it only has power when the engine is running and you won't ever have to worry about accidentally draining your bike battery.)
Will do🙌
@@NomadPush Yes. You could hook up a usb charging outlet to the ignition. That way it will only charge when ignition is on.
