Bourdain was a poet to the core, the saddest part is that I had to write "was"
My favorite episode, by far... I revisit this episode all the time.
Love, art, food, life! I love the combination of all this. Love Anthony Bourdain and miss him!!
Christopher Doyle is one of the best cinematographers around. He and Won Kar Wai are made for each other.
We really miss Anthony Bourdain .
We too
That intro.... tears in my eyes...
I loved watching his shows when I was in my late teenage years and it made me fall in love with the restaurant business ❤ I miss this guy so much
This one is especially interesting and sad at the same time. The comparisons of what it is now vs when it was filmed says volumes. (30:55-31:20) I'm glad I had the opportunities to see it then.
I cry every time I watch this. I watch this many times.
So you cry a lot. We can connect the dots
Kinda cringe.
One of my favorite episodes by far! Great story telling.
Always the best... thank you Tony.
Anthony.. : "YOU!" Have Changed Oúr View On The World, On Sooo Many Levels, It's Beyond even Yoùr Own Imagination, In A Jimi Hendrix' Footprint Kinda Way!! Thank U For Everything & Hope U Found Your Peace (You're Heavily Missed by Many, brother)
Doyle and Bourdain are two people who express art through everything they do.
That little umbrella guy scene was awesome!!
Food and memories....that was a moving scene.
we miss you Tony.
LOVE IT!
my two faves in one video
That band were great!….remind me of the many bands I played in over the years…
Hong Kong has an energy one cannot get anywhere. This is what is unique about Hong Kong. Documentaries like this, really says that if one truly love Hong Kong, one should stay and make it happen.
Yeah, the energy of having the most pretentious people per capita. Everything is packaged commerce with no originality except for its local cuisine.
@@onlydbrasko This is no way to talk about the UK.;)
@@greaterbayareahero1401 Your mentioning the UK proves my point.
Had an energy, not has. It's no longer there, it has totally changed...
So many things in this I miss greatly
beautiful
So difficult to watch. So so difficult to see it is crushed. But true love will prevail. The Hong Kong we loved will prevail.
Name me one movie that is more beautiful than In The Mood For Love. If i want to feel beautiful I watch that movie.
Can you please add subtitles to these videos? They’ll be much more accessible to non-English speakers
I agree, sometimes is difficult to understand some accents!! 🤯
its a lot of work buddy
@@KinkyLettuce come on, least you can expect for FREE STUFF!
Used to fly on the wknd to HK just to have that noodle from arrival to departure...
16:30 Cha Chan Teng. First time I ate in one I knew I could make Hong Kong work.
A big loss
He's my inspiration to travel
This is very difficult to watch. He loves st it here & HKG lost it too😢
Yeah, those young people of Hong Kong had so much hope and dreams for their future and now?
Chris Doyle directed the photography of this ❤
this video was made in year ??
What’s the name of the noodle shop at 6:00mins?
i miss you
I don't know why, but this film guy reminds of Keith Richards. 😃
He does look a little like Keith right
Actually he and Tony could be mistaken for brothers - they look quite alike.
Free America!!!!!!
@@MTMF.london or jeffrey epstein
Anybody knows location of the fist noodle shop ?
Mm goy it's just off Peel Street, mid levels, on Hollywood
After watching roadrunner these later episodes are much more difficult to watch. It was the beginning of Anthony losing himself. If you told him he’s arrogantly stop a subject in the middle of them telling of their heartbreaking story he’d feel shame. I can’t imagine how hard it must have been as one of the crew members.
Incase anyone feels I’m projecting or perceiving these thoughts I’m not. I’m referencing what members of the crew described themselves.
this was filmed before covid
The director is exhausting, I'm sure he is brilliant but I would manage 5 mins and I would need a lie down
Kinda sad to watch that, bourdain is dead and the world changed to the worst.
Strange how he talks to all these original indigenous people
that all speak perfect English with American accents….hmmmm
Free Hong Kong, Free Tibet, Free Xinjiang, No more covid lockdowns!
and down with the CCP.
and down with the CCP!
CCP need to be removed to recover the soul of HK and their culture.
Hong Kong is always opened to the world. Only china is locked downed by the ccp.
Steups 🙄
Yup, spam and macaroni……totally Chinese classic food…I rest my case
When was this? The description is a total failure...
2018
Those refugees aren't very desperate are they.
RIP dead man walking
@Skyjacker No, the worst thing he did was to begin publicly speaking out about super rich paedos. Thats what finished him
He made the mistake that he talked truths about too powerful people.
Pardon?
pardon?
@@donnyjay9046 He spoke out about powerful people with tendencies to touch kids
You're starting a conspiracy, are you, mate?
@@MTMF.london He seems to have glossed over facts such as the late, and great, Tony bourdain suffered with depression.
