Toby Segar is my personal goat. That guy epitomizes everything wonderful about parkour and is always inspiring others.
Well said 🙌
Bob is great 🙏🏻
Agreed!
I think once Toby has had enough time to integrate his professional climbing training into the parkour scene, he will have earned himself a spot on the list. He is a wonderful athlete already, but competition for the top is fierce.
Привет! Ща посмотрю что за перец твой Тоби Сигар.. Думаю пока никто не достоен даже встать рядом с Домиником ди Томазо.. Возможно лет через 100 и то не факт!!
This is like Usain Bolt asking who's the fastest sprinter
It's my Mercedes Sprinter, with a backlift.
Thanks for the Mention Dom! Sick video
Always lil g!
@@jackharrison4830 Don't be weird.
The goat is you!!!
Nope.
He jumps. But doesn't climb.
@@tvrskkngdm2333 yes he dive fronts of buildings
Definitely. he jumps from buildings, 10m down with front flip, or doubble front flip. Not many can do that :D
@@tvrskkngdm2333I guess goat of the jumping department
Joe.. and the funny Australian guy that's hooked on red bull 😂
Hahaha love me some Joe
As far as the current generation, I am ALWAYS hearing the names "Dom and Toby" from everyone i talk to. So I think its safe to say you both deserve to be in the conversation, you're both skilled and have left enough impact on the community to be name dropped regularly.
You're the GOAT Dom, no one dares to do you jumps.
I remember seeing the first David Belle Video. It was truly mindblowing.
Verky is for sure a GOAT in my opinion. He really epitomizes parkour street culture.
One of my personal GOATs is also Benj Cave. I think the way him and Max influenced rooftop parkour with the cavemen series was huge. He edges out Max for GOAT status imo in a way similar to Phosky. He's so fluid, efficient, and precise with his movement, not to mention being one of the best parkour google maps scouts ever. Benj's mental game is so solid and he is the backbone, workhorse of Storror.
I should mention that I'm a huge fan of the "A to B" or "pure" parkour style more than the tricking side, hence my love for Benj's movement. Athletes like Verky combine the best of worlds.
@@TedHolmwood Verk is absoultely the epitome of parkour. Everytime i see him around others, it seems so obv he's the most talented
You are the GOAT for your parkour, humble persona and funny character! You seem so lovable!
Jan Schlappen 😂
german goat
Ja Sicha
Just mentioning one: Joe Scandrett for sure, he's so influential and does crazy stuff. I'd love to see a video about your top 50 or 100 greatest parkour clips of all time. There are a lot of people that might not get the goat status, but they definitely did one or more goat certified stunts.
Ed Scott not getting a mention is criminal
I agree!
He did.
not a major shout out but his name was there.
He's not really goat. Not that influential and hasn't really got a unique style
@@visible5000 Young Henry is becoming a mini- Verky

I think Benj doesn't get enough credit, to be fair they all deserve more credit! Lamp post Joe, Bob, Dom, Verks, Ed, can't pick one....
Dick Van Dyke and the chimney sweeps in Mary Poppins. Parkour Goats 🐐
Oleg Vorslav is the GOAT of actually using parkour, and not just honing single tricks. The guy runs and climbs through forests, mountainsides, crosses ice rafts etc. at mad speed and inventive styles
Daniel Ilabaca - there is something about his movement which I can not really describe - but its just beautiful and stylish. But I also really like Phoskys godly flow. Honorable mentions: Oleg Vorslav, Pasha, Baityk, Shadezlat, Slava Petin, Pedro Thomas, Kelan, Joe, Zen, Alex Pro, Minh, Pablo Wiedemann, Didi Alaoui, Matthias Mayer, Williams Belle (I think he was the first of the OG Yamakasi who came up with rail flow). Female practitioners: Sydney Olson, Tam, Lilou Ruel, Lisa Eckhardt, Lucy Romberg
I miss Baityk. Does he still train?
@@onreact I dont know. I saw hin doing some strenght training a while back in Instagram but I have deleted the App since then
Sebastian Foucan**
You give life meaning through your relationships with others and how you interact with the world.
On both counts, the parkour community are knocking it out of the park. It's great to see.
Daniel Ilabaca was the guy that made me love this to another level
For me personally, one of the most influential guys was Chris "Blane" Rowat.
I believe his videos and blogs had an impact on many people.
You and lamppost joe will be the goats of the future
2 of the best for sure. Joe is mad on those lamp posts and Dom is an indestructible machine but Verky is making moves. He's like a Tasmanian devil mixed with Doms fearlessness. Love watching them all, especially together
Joe already 🐐ed
@guyhale4941 true, Verky's young as well, can only get better
As someone who watches parkour videos but doesn't do the sport, Callum would be on my list. It feels like he does things with a higher combination of consequence and difficulty than anyone else is willing to.
Oh man, as someone who discovered Parkour in 2004 and completely fell in love with the practice, even though I haven't practiced it since 2015, I would like to make a special mention of Sebastian Foucan, the 2nd Father of Parkour.
Propio Belle recognizes Foucan's contribution to the sport, and in the early days they gave interviews together about how they began to develop Parkour when they were children in the 80s.
If Belle is the God of Parkour (and he is), and Ilabaca is the Jesus of Parkour (and he certainly is), Foucan is the Spirit of the sport.
Thanks for the video Dom, you are the current Goat.
True and also he made possible what is arguably the greatest opening scene of all time and I thought that as someone who has watched a lot of movies across the world from East Asia to California (I'm from India) and when I did not even know about parkour and Foucan. He should have mentioned him. Also, maybe the 1902's Martinicians and George Hebert deserve a mention along with Raymond Belle, David's father who taught the sport's founders.
nicely put!
And Sebastien Foucan is still practicing at a very high level at 50 years old. Truly an inspiration
The beauty of parkour is precisely that you could make a top 10 list for each country and you would get an incredible variety of skills and styles even within a single list. Being from Spain myself, the galizian scene has always been legendary... but there are _so many names_ behind it, behind that buttery smooth and flowy style! We always end up rallying behind a single name, but in many cases it's such a massive, collective effort.
Personally, since I'm not much into tricks -because otherwise Torhall is just a broken secret character that wasn't meant to slip into reality-, the most inspiring traceur for me is Matthias Mayer. He might not be the best at any single thing, but he's top-tier at everything, including ingenuity and creativity, and combines all the skills into something truly special. I think he is not just one of the most versatile and well rounded athletes in the game, but also has that extra spark that makes him stand out. His partner, Lisa Eckert, is also one of the best female traceurs we have around.
You definitely deserve to be on the list too. I got to admit the first few videos I saw of you a few years back I thought you "could only" do insane gaps with front or sideflips... but then I kept watching... frontflip drops, sideflip gaps, kong-front pres, long jumps, dive rolls, repeat half of the previous with +360s... You are the best in the world at most of those, *by far*, and then still world class at precisions, reverse and kong pres, descents, double kongs and many more. Mentally, you are also on another level. And I kinda think sometimes we don't see more simply because you are already so impressive at so many things that it might feel like a waste to spend time recording your other "lesser" skills, but I would honestly love to see you try to record a serious video where you don't rely on any of your signature moves.
Oh, and nice mention of Oleg Vorslav from the Storror guys, what a legend.
Great comment. Matthias is hugely underrated. Jannis Schauer deserves a mention too. His yearly vids have included some really innovative stuff through the years.
@@aaronkeane2336 Agree, and I think it's a similar case to what I mentioned for the galizian scene; the singular talents in the Munich scene wouldn't have gotten to shine so brightly without the contributions of the whole community and the continuous exchange of ideas. They are all really creative because that's part of their own local parkour culture and identity. Jannis probably played a pivotal role in that, so big respect to him.
Jason Paul was a big influence too on me
Yeah I feel like I should’ve mentioned Jason 😂
He was definitely the GOAT for a time. Pasha too...
Not really a goat, since he is kinda unknown, but to me, Anthony Denis ("Anthow") from Miramas was the one who made my jaw drop while watching his videos. He's so fast, powerful, precise and fluid while doing pure A to B, it's mindblowing.
But yeah, certainly +1 for Daniel and Phosky, they make everything look so easy.
However, i would add Sébastien Foucan to your list, he had a huge influence on the world, and is still moving at the age of 50
Ooooo deep cut reference
Elis Torhal finally getting some much earned recognition. What an athlete that guy is!
The thing you said in 16:48 is soooo truee, since the very roots of parkour we are grow with movement to be a better athlete as a whole, be strong physically and also mentally to help other people.
I really enjoyed the video. It reminded me of the time when I was really into parkour (like 15 years ago).
When it comes to GOATs, I don't think I have enough knowledge to make an objective statement, so I'm just gonna list my favorites from back in the day:
1. Damien Walters
2. Chau Belle
3. Xin Sarith Wuku
4. Chase Armitage
5. Kyle Mendoza
6. Shun Shirai
7. Levi Meeuwenberg
So hard to say. Outside of the founders, Daniel Ilabaca was a huge influence on me. But currently, parkour-wise I’m only subbed to Storror and Dom!
You are so right about Sheva! Spot on Dom. I find it too hard to choose a goat as I like different things about different athletes.
No one made my jaw drop more then David Belle and you, I don't know how your alive tbh. Thanks for risking your life for our entertainment.
For me Travis and Jimbo are the most impressive right now. Now that i'm older i love to watch at Leo Urban great sensationnal videos. He elevated Parkour to another level from concrete to jungle
Ryan doyle, toby segar, david belle, pasha, remi girard " speed wise". Can't remember them all
Damien Walters, Sebastien Foucan
Daniel ilabaca!!!! One of my good friends since I was 10-11 years old, ive got a few good stories and memories from our childhood ❤
It's nice to see you pay honest tribute to the pioneers of the sport , and I agree Toby Segar is an amazing athelete , I guess it boils down to what The real meaning of Parkour is, it might be fair to call your brand of parkour as freerunning , but you also do most of the things counted in Parkour , and I am not sure some of the definitions have not changed in recent years. All I do know is that I am 75 years old and I am always amazed at the abilities you posess in diving, and landing on different parts of your body from at least twice as high as anyone else is trying from, also your movements almost always carry huge penalties for even partial failure. Not many are doing that at all, and none at your level. You are unique, in a small group of amazing atheletes, I salute you and pray for you to stay healthy and happy and be able to do what you love for as long as possible. Please do yourself and everyone a great favor and when you know your time is past, stop, before you really destroy yourself. I can tell you from experience, the injuries you have accumulated thus far , will be hard to deal with one day, unless the stem cell research can heal them.
Big honor to all these legends. Will never forget them till the day I die.
All these persons contributing to the movement and showing others the impossible and that you can do everything you set your mind to will never be forgotten
As you said one video can’t capture the greatness and impact of them
Solid list Dom😎. I personally would also throw in Calen Chan, but I think that’s more for one trick in particular, so may not necessarily put him as a GOAT. He did a 360 dive kong gainer full to grass, and I personally can’t think of a cooler individual trick that I’ve seen done outside, but probably in general. Elis definitely has potential to become THE GOAT in my opinion, so it was nice to see him on the list. His run in semi finals at either sp2 or sp3(I forget which) is THE best line I’ve ever seen. Started with a very technical flyaway pre straight to a cast kong gainer without extra swings… just insane!
Appreciate it! 😊
I love that you mentioned Cyril.
I couldn't say who is the GOAT , but the people i admire the most are : David Belle , Sébastien Foucan , Daniel Ilabaca , Phil Doyle , Callum powell , Kie Willis and Tim Champion . Even though I admire Dom as much as these guys , I think he takes too many risks . Parkour : To be and to last . Honorable mention : Nicolas Vanhole . And others I suppose .
Oh , and Benj Cave , Toby Segar .... and a lot of people actually .
And Orlando , Arthur and Abdullah from Team Phat . And James Adam Ward from Suppa XXl is incredible too .
I think Joe is really stepping in the direction of being one of the goats...
For me, one of the goats is Tim Shieff - He did a lot community wise. I really liked the FLOW channel, and he did a lot for the community back in the day!
Dom that's a great kinda nostalgic video to watch. Thanks, man!
Its Jason paul on lifestyle, mindset and uniqueness, pasha on creativity and freedom to play, torhall, yoloflow and bob reese on dificulty, power and flips, verky, toby and tim champion on parkour based stuff, and its also ShadeZlat thats the goat on just moving like an animal and aproaching movement in such an amazing way that looks too fun
David Belle will be the biggest GOAT in my book. Not only because he's the creator but because he (and some other OGs like the Yamakasi guys) showed what is possible with the combination of will, training and strength. The strength they had in their movement is rare to find now. A lot of people are amazing at parkour now, but when i look at the old videos there is a strength in the movement that is just awe inspiring. But when it comes to pure beauty of movement Daniel Ilabaca is untouched in my opinion. There have been and are right now many other amazing athletes but no one comes close to his movement.
Damien walters is an old time fav also
I discovered parkour thanks to him!
Havent clicked on a video that fast in a while. I am also a huge fanboy of Daniel illabaka (even though i am just now unsure how to write his damn name :D ) his clean, precise and determined movement made the biggest impression at the right time on me. Nowadays i consider oleg vorslav an underrated misunderstood genius. And you Dom, you are just a freak of nature. Time and time again i doubted that you could move on doing what you do, and than you do something bigger and and better. Also, your style (lifethreatening hights with floaty flips and spins) is the best to preach to and impress non believers ;)
And can i once again coin the term „a freerunners freerunner“ for pasha?
Thanks for the video!
As usual 👏 so dope to hear about your perspective on the history of the sport
I can't say that I know a lot of OG parkour people, but to me the GOAT can only be one of 3 people - Toby Segar, Dom Tomato or David Belle
Honorable mention: Travis Verky
nice seeing you nerding out about parkour
i think each person's GOAT list would also change according to what styles they prefer. personally I'd be naming names for more old-school styles cos that's my jam but i see how incredible someone like Elis is and why everyone loves it
When you said GOAT, my mind went immediately to Phosky - the dude's movement in unmatched - so much power, incredible flow, amazing technique - damn! 😲
But, future GOAT contenders, I agree that Elis is definitely on that path - he's so driven and so competitive - he's already doing stuff that no one else can and he's only 20 (!) - just imagine what he'll be bringing to the sport in a few years time ... 🤔
Toby Segar
He is a GOAT too, he all the scary dangerous jumps for STRROS.
Storror are the most watched parkour group ever and he is their most loved athlete, so you can say he's pretty influential and inspiring. Also he did some crazy jumps in the past, took part in roof culture asia, and helped add climbing into parkour, + modding spots
Don't get me wrong I'd put Dom in as well
Has anyone seen Banlieue 13? Has Cyril rafelli and David Bell in it (main characters). Its a parkour/action movie. Got a bit of humour in it too,
What makes it great is you are all doing your own things.like each surfer rides their own waves.
Banger of a video.
Goat list (will be and are): Dom, Verky, Joe, Storror, Phat
Lovely to get an overview from you Dom… I’m one of those who stumbled in through the Storror window so am pretty clueless… and have never heard of Phosky… that guy is channeling some Bruce Lee shit… that’s the kinda flow that just has me in awe… cheers dude
Glad you’ve heard of him now
For me an honorable mention is for sure Jannis Schauer.
His annual year videos starting from 2014 onwards had some incredible moves done effortlessly and with a great flow raising the bar for all round parkour athletes.
Toby Segar 🐐
Phosky is crazy. It looks like he is doing all those crazy moves completely effortlessly and his pants are always falling off
I feel like at this level the title cannot just be held by one person only. Big up to everyone who is striving to become better at whatever they are doing!
Toby Segar, Shiffer, Luke albretch, James Dickson... Sam ultima, Luis Alkmin
shifer indeed
Good to see Verky in there as a potential GOAT.
He can string great moves together, many can do the moves but few can do smooth flow.
Yea, David was like a thunderstorm at a level of lightspeed. His reason to move surpassed any - i can't find the words - and it is still outshinining everything and everyone today.
That's you, brooo! Real Legend
I remember the intro to that MTV parkour show and you had every introduction was each guy doing a trick or flip and then when it went to Danny it was just him standing, looking back at the camera and smiling. It felt so epic. I could watch Danny for hours, he has such beautiful movement.
I think Oleg Vorslav should be in the list. His "Out of Time" from 2009 has banger-move after banger-move, with an incredible style, even by today's standards.
In terms of style, I like guys like Kevin Franzen, Elias Zimakov and Marc Busch, as well as Jason Paul.
Phil Doyle 🤟 David belle was epic tho district 13 was mint
Thank you for sharing. I love your videos!
Glad you like them!
Such a Great List Thank You 🙏
Another awesome video !
I'm patiently waiting for the video about Jan's form xD
In my generation YOU & Storror are the GOATS bro absolutely no jokes !
search for "jan lange" or "freerunning schlappen"
When talking about this new-ish generation of elite parkour athletes i think these ones definitely deserve a mention:
Michael Khedoori (@Khedoori)
Orlando (@orlando.phat)
Abdullah (@abdullah.phat)
Devon (@devon.phat)
Dominik Fichtenbauer (@dominik_fichtenbauer)
Matthieu Schnegg /@matthieupk)
George McGowen (@georgepkay)
Harrison Fernandez (@harrisonfernandez)
Jaco Tombolani (@pilgrimthewitchfinder)
Mikeš (@mikesh.pk)
Pedro Salgado (@salgadopk)
Thanks for these nice souvenirs 🤘Next one on Parkour legends ? 😉
Calum...roof culture asia was nuts (definitely a goat contender). Disagree w/storror about Dom tho... he isn't even a real parkourtist ... sadly he was taken from us early while pioneering the revolutionary sport of parachute free base jumping: sometimes called "freebasing" or "freediving". RIP Dom you were the OG GOAT of freediving!
Seriously m8 you deserve the recognition storror guys sent your way! I still remember the first time i saw your IMAX clip...
now ive watched the whole video, great list and i agree with the list! noice like this kind of content this is also part of the legacy of the sport!
Glad you enjoyed!
I'm 66 years old and I have seen all you jumping and nobody has done it like you do you do incredible acrobatics I believe that nobody have the cojones to do the jumps that you have done they are so incredible I'm so dangerous nobody wants to do it only you I give you all the credit
Love the nerdiness Dom 🤓❤
Привет, я тоже!!!
The ones I'll always remember from my youth (in no particular order)
Sébastien Foucan
Cyril Raffaelli
David Belle
Damien Walters
Very nice analysis and just passionate talking about some of those amazing parkour people. And respect for mentioning David Belle as well, might be obvious but still.
correction i was doing flip precisions in 2008 haha
I havent been doing parkour for 10 years, but i can say with full definition its you man
Goats of American Parkour, Dylan Baker should always be in this conversation based on the criteria you mention, same would be said for Luci...just my opinion
I couldn’t agree more, so hard to nail down specifically 🫶🫶
Dudeee! Such a fun video, would love to see more stuff like this haha. I feel like HeroDW deserves a spot as well! And you too!!!!!
Been doing this thing for 18 years now and seeing that we got to a point where videos like this can exist is just truly amazing.
Loved it! Storror also are Goated for the drive and community
Yes they are!
Its me!!!!!
Amazing video Dom. Tim Shieff (Livewire) in my opinion was an absolut goat too.
No doubt
Great clips, Phosky really stood out to me, could watch him all day. GOATs are a tie between Dom and Toby, so many skills and innovations as well as good human beings!
David Belle in Ghettogangz from 2004 💪👍

Доминик показал еще один Талант и Дар спортивного комментатора!!Только был немного грустный. Надо пригласить напарника.Работать в команде будет веселее!Ставлю нравишку, продолжай!! 👌👏👏
Dom, you are a GOAT too, after your 10 METER Frontflip in Essen ;)
Joe is definitely one of my favorites. Can't believe he didn't make the list. He is creative and does some CRAZY shit.
He should be. But I’ll do an “Athlete of the years” list and he’ll make it on there ❤️
idk about goat status yet, but my favorite athletes today are Toby, You, Travis, Tim Champion, and Khedori's fucking knees
One of these days, I'm going to make it on one of these lists. It might be a list of old people that need to retire, but I'm going to make it on one! 😂😂
Beautiful material, the timeline you showed is in every field, thanks to you I was able to learn at least a bit of the precursors in this field, thank you. I have a question because people always judge everything based on the finished results. Have you had a time in your life when you couldn't do a somersault at what age was the first one? because what you are doing now is titanic. Regards Bro
Me, i'm just very shy
Nate really is one of a kind, such a dope dude too, I definitely back up putting Nate on the podium of USA goat as an American myself
Your definitely in the convo. It is like every sport. Ask 20 basketball fans who their top 5 is and your going to get completely different answers.
Not even close, we were doing “free running/parkour” in 1981 in Edinburgh we called it “chicken run”
