That second to last pass is a bread and butter play for the Bills. Seen it a lot, including in the 13 second game. I think he feels so comfortable with it it is his first and only read. Gets bumped and incomplete.
I wish you were coaching Josh. Great videos Kurt. You’re a legend. I now realize why the Rams were so good at getting chunk plays. You understood all the little things.
Is the small things that kill you, and the details that bury you. Reading is fundamental and it takes time, but comprehending what you read demonstrates your intellect, how you apply your comprehension determines your success. Good analysis of Mr Allen Kurt, hard knock life, sink or swim 🏊♂️. Some consider analysis as critique, for so it is but a child considers it hate, because it has an oversized ego. The ego says look at all the good that I do, but you focus on the negative, the small things for the Bills lead to wide RIGHT
How do you even coach it out of Josh? What would a QB coach or OC do? What did his previous OC do? Design plays to limit his home run tendencies. Specifically tell him to look underneath first? You cant really tell him not to take deep shots if they are open, so I am just curious how a coach would handle it.
Theirs nothing to coach outa Josh allen his WRs need to catch the ball & Bills win that game easy, Bills don't have half their D hurt & depleted they win that game easy
Thank you for confirming what I thought I saw in the game in terms of choices. But the next question is was it coaching or the player who was at fault. Based on what you saw and talked about- I now think it's more coaching- seeing that receivers could have done a better job with the routes and apparently what they are telling Allen to look at.
I agree. I think in this spot it needed to be clear what the goal was and that’s to move the sticks. You know Josh is gonna want to hit the end zone but it needed to be understood that clock management was absolutely critical (and field position if a FG was required).
@@CS-zz2bf It's hard to believe that he forgot the 13 second game. I get that if you can score easily, do it. But that wasn't easy, so the priority is exactly what you said- clock management and moving the chains. Coaches should have reminded him that.
I wonder if Brian Daboll paid attention to all these little details and that's why Josh was so much better with him as the OC. He would've had guys a lot more open than currently.
Those last two plays let me know where Josh lost it. He became too impatient at the end. Kurt was right just continue doing what you were doing checking down instead trying to go for the big play at the end. I bet Tom Brady or manning would’ve dropped it off to those underneath guys
@@buyystocks Yep 💯. It’s not that hard. But these coaches think they are so smart. It’s just knowing situational awareness. It’s amazing how some think Shakir was open on that play but the safety got depth post snap to double Shakir. I don’t know or understand what Josh was thinking or seeing on that play. I don’t care what anyone says the smart thing to do is to take the check down to Diggs and get a little closer and how do we know Diggs could’ve broken a tackle to get the first down or even a touchdown
@@zuippy845 I’m sorry but looking at the film I don’t see it. If you look at again the safety in middle kept drifting when he noticed Shakir coming across. It probably could’ve been an interception.
That second and nine play pass to Shakir Allen didn’t sell it well enough and they’re going crazy in the media talking about other things(Diggs drop, Bass missed fg)etc etc. National Fake League😂
Warner is saying allen should have thrown the dig route isntead of throwing it deep to diggs as if he wasnt passing up unserneath routes to throw it deep to fitzgerald double covered. He didnt go to 3 superbowls being conservative. The bills need to have these other guys simply step up in crunch moments.
From what I've seen Kurt seems to look for reasons to criticize Allen. I'll be the first one to say Josh can improve his decision making, but a lot of these are nit-picky. And I agree, Kurt was known for tossing the deep ball, and I'm guessing there's a bunch of them where we would have seen someone underneath open. Kurt's not leading the greatest show on turf if he's constantly looking for the checkdown because it's safer. For the Digg bomb, I disagree with Kurt. The dig route was not open. The KC defender near the sideline was in place to meet the receiver and cut underneath if Josh threw to that receiver.
All I can say is 'The Greatest Show On Turf', was my favorite all time football team. We know who they were and where they were, however, I refuse to ever mention that franchise name again.
Shakir is wide open in the end zone. If Josh doesn't get hit on the throw, it's a TD. I am blown away that a HOF quarterback is suggesting we don't throw to a guy wide open in the end zone. That shows how off the rails are when people talk about Josh, that we literally have guys saying throwing to a wide open WR in the end zone is not the play. It's insanity. In order to hold on to the "Josh goes for the 'Home Run'" narrative we literally have people saying 'he shouldn't have thrown to the WAO receiver in the end zone, and should've checked it down for a potential first down. Blows me away to hear that. You don't play the results, you play the play, and Shakir was WAO, the play worked perfect, and Dion Dawkins couldn't hold off Chris Jones for another .5 sec, or it's a TD. Disappointed that people can't be honest about what happened and instead just have to look for anything to confirm their priors, but hey, it's 2024, what are you doing with your life if your not confirming what you already know?
You seriously think he was wide open??? Wow… no teaching you if you think him having to run by a safety and then make a perfect throw over the top from 40 yrds is WIDE open?? That’s crazy talk!
@@disqusrubbish5467I’m surprised that Kurt would actually come out publicly and call out that play. Allen was trying to give the game away all the time when he even fumbled on purpose earlier in the drive. Guess you gotta do what your bosses say when you sign those huge contracts😁
@@kurtwarnerqbcKurt I’ve been a Josh Allen huge fan since he was drafted and that decision by Allen has me sooo dissapointed to the point that I can not believe or accept what he did there. I just can not accept how that play played out and it seriously has me at a place where I believe he took a dive with all due respect. That’s inexcusable.
That final drive had to be a touchdown. Chiefs had way too much to time on the clock for only needing a field goal to win. Our win early in the year was a fluke because Tony was off sides, and we already know 13 seconds and a 3 point lead isn't enough. If figures that the bills finally get a franchise QB and now we have to deal with a stacked AFC and the second coming of Tom Brady in KC. At this point I might as well accept that the bills will never win a super bowl in my lifetime.
I'm a huge fan, Kurt. However, I think you need a novice with you to ask novice questions. You probably don't want your analysis to be Football 101, but it sounds like quantum mechanics to me.
