    Amazing breakdown and view of the strategy of offensive play design. Details matter and love how Kurt breaks all this down.

    Watching these kinds of videos not only gives me more of an appreciation for the nuances of football but also how good an offensive mind Andy Reid is. He knows how to exploit pretty much any kind of defense, teach quarterbacks to read coverages, scheme receivers open, get the best out of his players' physical attributes, and it shows in the way the Chiefs run their plays compared to other very good offenses (like the Bills).

    Hall of Famer Kurt Warner, who won the Rams their first ever Super Bowl and brought the Cardinals to their only ever appearance, was 27 years and 188 days old when he made his NFL debut and 28 years and 208 days old when he played in his first playoff game. Josh Allen was 27 years and 245 days old and Patrick Mahomes 28 years and 126 days old when this game was played, the 10th playoff appearance of Allen's career and the 16th of Mahomes'.
    Bills fans: it's never too late to get going. Josh Allen played great on Sunday and he's well on his way to a Hall of Fame career where he's sure to at least participate in a Super Bowl (Dan Marino) if not win one (Brett Favre, Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers).

    On a play that starting on 13:52 you're suggesting that he (Josh) should have an extra option and wait to see a reaction from Defensive Linebaker but he already had 3 defenders on him and I just can't see how he could have done anything but that quick pass to the right.

    Enjoyed watching great channel.
    15:37 pump fake bottom side and throw it to Cook upside.
    17:14 pretty sure that would have been a pick if Jones hadn't batted it down.

    Amazing breakdown. It sounds to me that the receivers need to read the defence like a QB, and not just blindly run the route assignment.
    Also, make me see how great KC is by manipulating Bill's defence to create open space and made it looks like an easy throw from PM.

      A lot of these are Diggs basically dragging his feet, Josh Allen was left with NOTHING so often. Don't know whether it Digg's lack of motivation was caused by Bills not using him consistently throughout the season OR if they didn't use him consistently BECAUSE he was showing no motivation all along...but it sucks. Such a waste of a talented team.

      While you're at it, hire Patrick Mahomes too. Then, the Bills Mafia would be in business.

    The "pitch" at the 5 min mark was a forward pass beyond the line of scrimmage. Close, but still. Thought Andy should have challenged that one. But the replay was horribly slow to happen and it was awfully early in the game to risk a challenge without seeing the replay.

  • @jonathanjeswald
    @jonathanjeswald ปีที่แล้ว

    @kurt, where would you grade him now as a 6 year player? Do QB get to a point where they can call their own plays? Has Josh progressed to where to the trained eye can see he makes the right and best decisions if he needs to be? Or does he check out what's supposed to be run from a traditional standpoint play verbatim and creates his own offscript completions? Better yet, can you tell if he even runs a play as it's supposed to be run, or does he check out of them or extends the play or leaves the pocket because he feels most comfortable in the caous and feels most comfortable using his athleticism instead of letting the play develop as its designed.

    I think Diggs was planning on sitting in the soft spot in front of the safety, but the LB didn't bite on the underneath and stayed in his lane.

    I hope the Bills coaches and players are watching your videos! So many poor alignments by the wideouts - not putting themselves in the best position, Diggs getting knocked off his route, etc. And why did they take Kincaid off the field on the last play of the game! He should have been on the field.

    This stuff is fascinating. I always wonder - why are they not doing these little things better at this level? Will their coaches be showing these plays and telling them the same thing? Will they be practicing this this week? Should they hire Warner? etc.

      A few people mentioned Josh Allen really misses Brian Daboll. Changing OCs can make a big difference for better or worse. In this case, it seems to be the latter. They better figure it out soon. Windows don't stay open forever.

      All this is scripted to maximize profit on every level. The guys like Allen, Burrow, Lamar, Hurts who are making insane amounts of money have to take the dive when the boss says so. Comes with the job description when signing those massive contracts. That last 2nd and 9 play from Allen is all you need to know what’s up. He didn’t do a good job of selling it and now they’re running like crazy in the media saying he "played well" "wasn’t his fault" and trying to blame Diggs, the coach or the kicker😂Even the usual Allen haters in the media aren’t scrutinizing that particular fake effort from him😂 Bread and circuses

    Kurt, the Bills were playing the best pass defense in the NFL. Harping on little errors b/c the Bills lost the game is stupid. Mahomes and KC’s offense had the much easier task of playing Buffalo’s injury depleted defense. Allen was the best player on the field.
    It’s easy to evaluate all this from the all-22.

    • @DeportillegalAliens

      @@frankleni6718 I think Allen will eventually get his ring though..but the AFC Is deep ...I expect burrow, Herbert and Allen to all win on eventually...Lamar might but he may choke this wk and I just feel like Lamar will flame at in a couple yrs

    • @frankleni6718
      @frankleni6718 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DeportillegalAliens You just named the four elite QBs in the NFL, all of whom are in the AFC. To me, it goes Allen > Mahomes > Burrow > Lamar. Lamar is the interesting one because his first instinct is to run, not pass. Allen is also dual threat, but his first instinct is to pass, not run.
      Lamar has made great strides as a passer overall, but he is still an inconsistent dropback passer.
      Allen played a virtually flawless game and still lost because his injury depleted defense couldn’t defend a college offense. I have a gut feeling that Lamar will have get into trouble against KC’s defense. McD actually always has a great gameplan against Lamar and focuses on preventing him from extending plays with his legs and getting to those 2nd and 3rd window throws. The Bills did a great job against Lamar in the divisional round three seasons ago. He got impatient and threw a pick 6 to Taron Johnson from the redzone.
      Lamar is great but if he wants to ensure sustained success, he has to continue refining his technique as a dropback passer.
