Exactly. I've never disenchanted cards just because they left standard. I've switched to wild instead and kept my collection and not bothered that much with new cards.
100% agree. Disenchanting cards because they rotate is stupid to me. It's ok if you only play standard and thats what you enjoy but I spent money/gold on cards that rotate out so I'm not just gonna throw it away if they still have a use.
In my opinion the classic format is a solid investment, since the cards will never rotate from there. I believe the developers made the right call on this one, both for us in terms of free resources and for them when it comes to monetisation (time to pay hahaha).
this has nothing to do with the topic of the video but i just had this idea: they should create a "random" portrait like the one they have for cards, that would allow when you chose it for a class to get a random portrait each game for the class you're playing (chosen from the pool of portraits you possess)
While this is a great change for many reasons, you pointed out my personal issue with the change which is that standard was a reliable foundation for F2P players once they completed it. Even cards like millhouse manastorm, (over the course of years) there were some t1 meta deck(palladin sneak) that used millhouse. The same could be said with any standard card...but i think its a good change. I think i would have liked some dust compensation or something... but wadya gona do? forward!!!
I’ve been f2p since beta and still don’t have every classic card. As long as the “core” set isn’t complete dogshit like the basic set is now, this will be a great change.
@@sirswagsalot521 I have him and although he is fun for the first couple times it gets boring quickly, because random legendarys have a tendency to be expensive Mana wise so you get stuff playing 2 cards at most per turn without sinergy. My recommendation is putting him into renounce darkness so you have both options as fun factor, whatever you draw first
Quite a punch in the nuts that they removed classic without any sort of refund. Many people invested in it because they believe the dev's claim that it would be evergreen and would have bought other packs if they wouldn't have been misled on purpose.
As a F2P player I will be disenchanting most of my golden classic cards after rotation. As keeping them around guaranteed higher payoffs if they were Hall of Famed. Now that is going away I think its best I dust the duplicates so I can expand my collection further. I play mainly Wild so I still have a use for the Classic cards on the day to day and am pumped for the Classic format!
Hey, what do you think will happen with the basic cards ? I believe it was said that they would all go to your collection as you get access to the wild format as a new player, and that their golden / non golden versions would be craftable or disenchantable. Do you think players with all of their classes at level 60 will be able to disenchant their golden basic cards and get 13000 dust ? Or is it me who did not understand ? Because the only time something alike happened with basic cards (when priest basic cards went to HoF), we were able to uncraft their golden versions and get 50 dust
Yeah, they did not touch on the basic set. It will be safe to disenchant all the golden versions of the cards. I'm pretty sure Blizz said the basic set cards will be made commons after the change to the core set.
You understood everything correctly, but the developers made a mistake. Unfortunately Basic cards will remain free and non-disenchantable. At the last moment, I was forced to remove the part about Basic cards from this video. : /
I'm very excited about all the changes that are to come, from my f2p perspective hs is only getting better since I haven't got the full classic collection yet and now all player will get it for free, we will partially have the chance to try hs as it was at the beginning and the ones not very interested on it will have the flexibility to decide if they want to dust it all and craft whatever they want. Thank guys for the good content, it has been always pretty helpful and fun to watch.
As a day one player i miss the old HS its going to bring me back to the game for sure but im kinda afraid for the futur of this gamemode. Home they make the right choices

So you'll have a free copy of the Core set cards to use in Standard for what we assume to be 1 year. What if we have a golden copy of a Core set card? I wonder if they'll let us use that.
I am sure they will let you use it, because if not they are forcing you to dust it and I don‘t think blizzard wants this. Because people dusting more cards=people having more dust=people spending less money into the game

So, i have Alexstraza in my collection. If i dust her right now, and she does show up in the first standard rotation, i get to use the card anyway? Because of money limitations i do not have the ability to play wild so theres no point in having 1 or 2 useless legendaries sitting in collection. When the new update launches, am i loosing dust by not disenchanting? If i can't use the card, why keep it?
If I’m a standard player planning to disenchant all classic cards, should I do that right before the rotation or after it takes place? As in will the classic cards that end up in the core set show up as different copies than the ones I already have?
I started hearthstone last month. And I dusted my classic legendaries. But I'm interested on what I should do with my classic card packs I haven't opened yet. (Because I have like 3 and because I don't every play wild and never will).
The idea of rotate the classic and basic looks good for me. It allows blizzard to make classes feel new every year with the cards changed, while also taking out cards with little to no impact or use in the game like, as an example, sen'jin shieldmaster
Prelim. Got aprox. 20k dust from it. Found some decks require no use for those cards at all. However, some decks unplayable without. Recommend caution. I did it cause I have no intention of being competitive. To each his own.
Well but...what about Edwin? I didn’t disenchant him when he got nerfed since they said something that I understood as he would be rotated and unnerfed? I wanted that dust :(
They were sly when Edwin nerf happened, but they were direct when they said he wouldn’t get HoF. “There’s not benefit in hoarding multiple Edwin’s” I think they said. Doesn’t make it clear whether you should keep one or not. Blizzard always finds ways to be secretive.
Blizzard straight up lied to us. They said "Classic and Basic cards will always be usable in Standard." The day they said that, I used all of my dust to craft my favorite golden Classic cards. It was around 100k dust that I had saved up over the years. Now I don't get to use those cards in Standard. Blizzard needs to, at least partially, compensate people in my position. They probably won't help me though because they're acting like they never said anything about Classic cards staying in Standard, and the community only seems to care if the game is more friendly for ftp players. If you care about people in my position, please submit this to Hearthstone's Blizzcon Q&A with me.
The upcoming changes seem exciting and I'm looking forward to them, but the Blizzard doesn't seem to have addressed this issue. They can probably get away with it though - no real player anger. Do you know when and where the promise was made (by Blizzard)?

I had a question, should you dust cards that you will get for free in the coreset. If you already have a twisting nether and you will get this card for free in the core set, should you dust the card before the core set comes out. To get it's dust and still have the card to use?
Does the free core set will give me a second copy of the card if I already have it? Or it will take for exemple my Alextrasza I already have? Should I disenchant now or after the expansion or it dosnt matter ? Does the core set is uncraftable or undeletable ?
I was hoping we’d be able to disenchant all the classic cards that will be returning to the Core set, but it sounds like that’s not the case for the same reasons that I haven’t dusted my Wild cards. I don’t really play wild, but I keep the cards just in case and for the occasional Tavern Brawl and Duels.
Why don’t they grant us a golden version of each existing classic card we own or full dust refund. I feel a bit duped. I’ve spent heaps on classic cards over the years thinking they will be a totally safe investment for standard. now that investment has been devalued with no compensation
Really like they are bringing the Classic format back. Worried though it will be broke in a manner of days remember in 2014 the amount of deck statistics out there was not as high as it is today! HSReplay and Tempostorm will probably have the meta formalized in a week or 2 as the amount of data available will be tremendous! In 2014 i was just looking at Hearthpwn at the most highest rated deck lol.
i think we should just disenchant golden version and keep everything else. the only cases were you should do something else is if your ONLY and standard player and YOU WILL NEVER DO SOMETHING ELSE otherwise you will regret your decision.
I think that one thing that Blizzactivision can do, is half the price of the pack... from 100 gold to 50 per package. Just like YuGiOh Duel Links, and provide more options to earn more gold. That way everyone could play it.
I've been disenchanting all my wild cards since the wild mode was released, like 3 or 4 years ago. I kinda wish i didn't made it, but now i think it's too late for me to play wild
You're not missing much. I've played wild off and on, and unless you like playing against OTK or extreme aggro (even faster than standard) then I wouldn't bother.
Play only wild, because in standard you are allways on the run for best cards. In wild your basic setup stays. But planning to go classic only and disenchant all standard cards to have a complete game experience for the first time ever...
@@tessieract i agree, otherwise - in standard you never catch up, in wild, after to years you will have a playable deck you don't loose any more.. So i personally for my playstyle don't like disenchanting things for standard, because i play so less i will never get a playable deck there or at least not for more than 3 month.. But it's personal preference.
Honestly this move is excellent. Classic seems like a flash in the pan. I doubt I'll spend much, if any time in it, but having a new, free core set that will alter with every rotation? Excellent way to keep the game fresh. I just hope they use it properly to give each class a proper baseline to play with.
So, after watching the video - if I intend to play only Standard Ranked: All Class cards from the sets currently Standard and all Core cards together combine to be the sum of all cards allowed for Standard ranked play. Core cards are uncraftable, which means they can't be enchanted or disenchanted, and all Core cards are curated and made accessible to all players for free by Blizzard. Accruing and keeping cards from the current Standard sets while disenchanting all others won't hurt me if I only play Standard Ranked. And, I can't make the mistake of disenchanting Core cards, because Blizzard has made that impossible. Is this still correct going into 2024?
Of course not, play wild you fools! Otherwise you are stuck in an unending cycle and keep saying that the game is expensive. The game is 1000% free to play if you just play wild...
Wild also has some of the most broken cards and annoying deck styles that don't seem to go away like raza priest or rez priest. I don't think I'll be truly happy with this game until I can ban a specific class because I'm so sick of seeing them.
@@remyllebeau77 Standard is almost like that most of the times though (look at Barnes paladin at the moment with overall win rates of over 65% and malign win rates with Alura over 90% ,not even wild is that broken...) with the key difference that wild is indeed very diverse because of the enormous card pool. Any idea you may have, there is a cool way to play it...
@@RealityRogue you can still use a few new cards in wild, but I can see how that could not be enough for people who play a lot. For me it's perfect now. I am not interested in playing so much that I get bored because I also want to play a bit of battegrounds, a bit of duels, and various other games... SO hearthstone constructed wild is perfect for me. I have a good basis as f2p player for 5 years, every expansion I get 5000-8000 gold for free, enough to get a nice amount of cards and the game stays fresh for my level of play. I have more than a dozen decent wild decks now and can make many others, sometimes with a substitude or 2. I play just enough games to get to the rank before legend, which also gives a little bit of free stuff.
I've just come back from a 2 - 3 year absence and I have no idea what's going on, I just play wild because I'll never keep up with all the new cards, seasons, etc I used to but the adventures as I thought they were enjoyable for a small price but I'm not sinking money into buying random packs as it's a never ending money sink. I'll just keep casualling in wild format just for fun as standard us just for tryhards spunking money to get the latest "meta"...
Is there ANY punishment given to people for not disenchanting their cards? Will there be ANY changes that could lesser the dust you get from cards that you own after the patch? ANY at all?
I will dust one copy of every basic/classic card that is rotating besides legendaries. Why? Because 1, if i ever want to play duels (which is rare), i will still have those cards to choose from. And 2, if i ever want to go into wild (which is unlikely), i would only need to re-craft one of a specific card. The only cards that i will dust both copies of are the extremely useless cards, that goes for legendaries as well. I guess what im saying is, is that im going half-ass until i know exactly what i want to do.
I hope they make it so that Core Set is also included in Duels for free, so new players can always jump into Duels, while not feeling like they're absolutely going to get stomped by literally everything and everyone. And also I hope for that because, while I'm not a fan of Duels, and don't play it, I do play it when my Missions require me to play it (and win), so adding Core Set to it would make those missions less of a hassle to achieve.
I agree I think it's a confusing mess and it punishes long term players..unless the 'new' format makes classic cards worthwhile. Blizzard are desperate to attract new players and get old players back but sometimes the steps they take seem more like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. I used to play Magic the Gathering and I quit constructed play because it was an infinite look of chasing combo decks. I played exclusively constructed format..except for the local gaming club. You could turn up there with a larger decks and only one of each card. This made for some great games. You had to use the cards you drew to the best of your ability. By limiting the number of rare/legendary cards you also limited the advantage of players with access to all the cards. As these guys point out...nothing in these changes makes playing Standard or Wild or whatever they want to call them any easier for new players. Hell if I was a new player what options do I have....1) play classic ..nope I need to actually own these cards 2) Standard..nope at its peak there are 6 sets and 6 mini sets in play..which really is comical and 3) Wild or is it Open...I don't know about beginners but it's so broken I'm not prepared to play it. I know this analysis is not perfect but of all the people I got into Hearthstone with I'm the only one left and I don't see any of them rejoining based on the smoke and mirrors Blizzard are performing here....and they have just totally made my Classic collection close to worthless..which I'm not very happy about.
Yeah im only disenchanting crap wild cards that was never used anyway. Always a good idea to keep the better ones... Well after starting a run of duels i realized i had disenchanted a card i needed for it and decided to recraft it. But thats ok since you can only have one of each card in duels anyway.
Tarde 2 años en conseguir todas las cartas del set clasico (jugando+$$$) me duele perderlo por un puñado de cartas de wild. Seguro mañana cuando salga tendre que estar feliz como los demas pero soy viejo no me gustan los cambios mas cuando tocan mis cimientos. Espero que Blizzard encuentre otra manera para revitalizar los metas y que al final de cada año nos podamos quedar con las copias de esas cartas para ir llenando de apoco una collecion de Wild de manera FreeToPlay. Yo también gasté mucho en classic cuando empeze a jugar en Ungoro. Pero hay que ver lo bueno, podemos usarlas en classic. Es mejor no tirarlas y jugar ese modo. Yo digo qué hay que ver esto de una manera general, los cambios mantienen el juego vivo y atraen nuevos jugadores dándole más popularidad al juego. Lo bueno que el hearrhstone va para muchos mas años de vida, he gastado demasiado aquí jaja.
What I don't get about the new mode: If... a) There will be no exp reward, nobody will play it b) there is some actually good reward, everybody will play this mode and since no nerfs can be added, everybody will play the best performing deck. There will be no evolvement of a new meta and therefore players will get bored incredibly fast.
If you miss Hall of Fame cards wait to open them after the changes go active. If you miss new Classic set cards open them now before they get removed. If you are not in these 2 categories open them now because you do not benefit in any way by waiting. Enjoy
@@HearthstoneMathematics Max is right. They advertised and sold Classic set as "Standard permanent" after the Standard/Wild differentiation. Now they plan to remove a serious amount of Classic cards from Standard without even a hint of compensation. That is unacceptable
Blizzards suddenly changed the basic rule of the game: classic cards never rotate. How its even possible now to say what and how we should do with our cards while blizzards could break all the system again so easily??? We have no information about their plans and they we'll certainly make fools out of us again in a while...
@@RickyMuzakki I dont think the game is gonna be cheaper. The core set mostly is the same trash as old basic cards. Most of them wont see any play. I like idea of core set actually, but I hate the way blizzards implement it. Players used to craft classic cards (even in gold) only because it was a stable investment. And now all this cards are thrown away from standard. We lost our dust. Blizzards could have intoduced the core set and gave dust for rotated classic cards. That could be both great for players and good for game. But instead we got tempory core set cards and lose tons of dust. Thats not a fair deal. So many players feel that they have been cheated.
Legacy will be a "new" set of cards that i believe will replace classic packs and it will contain cards from the classic set, the basic set and hall of famed cards. The game format that will be added is "classic format", in which you'll be able to play vanilla hearthstone, with 0 patch and 0 expansion, with unnerfed classic cards (4 mana leeroy, etc.). I agree they could have made it clearer
It would be nice if HS creates wild dust and standard dust. Wild dust you can only craft wild cards. Standard dust you can craft wild and standard cards. You can change exp from archievements to get wild dust or old card backs.
Holomancer, what you may say is true to get old players like me to come back. But I have my doubts, the generosity level of Blizzard is NOT like of Riot as seen in Runeterra. Additionally, don't forget the RNG, which remains hated.
I'm a day 1 player and I STILL don't have all the cards from the classic set. A testament to how expensive this game is. You either spend $$$, or A LOT of time. Either way, you have to spend. If you just want to be a casual player and enjoy the game every now and then whenever time permits, you're shit out of luck
It's been the hell of a ride . And fun for the most of it . But the day rotation hits i am disenchanting everything , spam craft spam disenchant till 0 dust are left . I draw the line . 1)What they are doing with core/classic/basic/legacy/whatever is a mistake i can't forgive . Yes , classic needed changes .PERMANENTLY promoting 10 cards from wild to classic and PERMANENTLY demoting 10 cards from classic to HOF every expansion , till the classic set becomes viable was the way to go . No core set rotating every year . 2)It's raining new modes and new modes means less attention to Standard/Wild . The only interestind mode could be 2v2 . Yeah 2v2 will happen one day , but sorry not sorry , Battlegrounds , duels , classic are dead on arrival modes that mean less resources for standard/wild . Another mistake i can't forgive 3)Too many cards each expansion . And always the ~60% of them are dead cards . The game doesn't need new 135+35 cards every expansion . Each expansion needs : 2 class common 2 class rare 1 class epic 1 class legandary for 10 classes meaning 60 class cards and 8 neutral common 8 neutral rare 4 neutral epic 4 neutral legendary for a total of 24 neutral cards . Resulting in 84 cards per expansion but ALL PROPERLY playtested so they can be meta material , all having a place to old and new deck archetypes . Of course i also mean NO MORE minisets ... 4)Last but not least the community for normalising all the wrongdoings of Blizz . For accepting and normalizing all their mistakes . For demanding the change of meta every 2 months . When in other card games the players cry from joy when a deck stays meta for 1year+ ,close to 2 years in some cases , with only small deck teching of less than 5-6 cards . For not realising that the game suffers from too much content , just because the 60% of the cards are useless . We need less cards but more meta viable cards P.S It's so damn funny that the only step in the right direction was the new rewards track (after the changes of course)
I have reached Legend a couple of times with a an aggro-ish druid deck containing Nat Pagle, Mukla and Tinkmaster Overspark. They all carried their weight nicely but new cards keep coming that make a better version of the deck without them... :-(

Because it's too efficient. Blizzard doesn't want to let us play decks for free.
Whizbang decks are not good, I fail to understand how any active player would want to regurlarly play it.

I think whizbang will one of the cards coming in so new players get to “test” all the different decks. Thus pushing the sales of new packs

I never dust anything. I have over 180 legendaries and can play any wild deck I want. Glad I held my stuff!

Going to invest 25k dust into golden classic cards to play 16 golden ladder viable classic decks from day 1. I loved so much beta.

Core Set Jaraxxus will be a hero card, your Classic mode Jaraxxus will be a minion still.

So, i have Alexstraza in my collection. If i dust her right now, and she does show up in the first standard rotation, i get to use the card anyway? Because of money limitations i do not have the ability to play wild so theres no point in having 1 or 2 useless legendaries sitting in collection.

The idea of rotate the classic and basic looks good for me. It allows blizzard to make classes feel new every year with the cards changed, while also taking out cards with little to no impact or use in the game like, as an example, sen'jin shieldmaster

Prelim. Got aprox. 20k dust from it. Found some decks require no use for those cards at all. However, some decks unplayable without. Recommend caution. I did it cause I have no intention of being competitive. To each his own.

in general you should always dust nerfed cards because worst case scenario you just recraft it or open it in a pack again for a net loss of 0
They were sly when Edwin nerf happened, but they were direct when they said he wouldn’t get HoF. “There’s not benefit in hoarding multiple Edwin’s” I think they said. Doesn’t make it clear whether you should keep one or not. Blizzard always finds ways to be secretive.

Blizzard straight up lied to us. They said "Classic and Basic cards will always be usable in Standard." The day they said that, I used all of my dust to craft my favorite golden Classic cards. It was around 100k dust that I had saved up over the years. Now I don't get to use those cards in Standard. Blizzard needs to, at least partially, compensate people in my position. They probably won't help me though because they're acting like they never said anything about Classic cards staying in Standard, and the community only seems to care if the game is more friendly for ftp players. If you care about people in my position, please submit this to Hearthstone's Blizzcon Q&A with me.
The upcoming changes seem exciting and I'm looking forward to them, but the Blizzard doesn't seem to have addressed this issue. They can probably get away with it though - no real player anger. Do you know when and where the promise was made (by Blizzard)?

I had a question, should you dust cards that you will get for free in the coreset. If you already have a twisting nether and you will get this card for free in the core set, should you dust the card before the core set comes out. To get it's dust and still have the card to use?

I was hoping we’d be able to disenchant all the classic cards that will be returning to the Core set, but it sounds like that’s not the case for the same reasons that I haven’t dusted my Wild cards. I don’t really play wild, but I keep the cards just in case and for the occasional Tavern Brawl and Duels.
Why don’t they grant us a golden version of each existing classic card we own or full dust refund. I feel a bit duped. I’ve spent heaps on classic cards over the years thinking they will be a totally safe investment for standard. now that investment has been devalued with no compensation

Really like they are bringing the Classic format back. Worried though it will be broke in a manner of days remember in 2014 the amount of deck statistics out there was not as high as it is today! HSReplay and Tempostorm will probably have the meta formalized in a week or 2 as the amount of data available will be tremendous!

i think we should just disenchant golden version and keep everything else. the only cases were you should do something else is if your ONLY and standard player and YOU WILL NEVER DO SOMETHING ELSE otherwise you will regret your decision.
I think that one thing that Blizzactivision can do, is half the price of the pack... from 100 gold to 50 per package. Just like YuGiOh Duel Links, and provide more options to earn more gold. That way everyone could play it.

You're not missing much. I've played wild off and on, and unless you like playing against OTK or extreme aggro (even faster than standard) then I wouldn't bother.

Play only wild, because in standard you are allways on the run for best cards. In wild your basic setup stays.

So i personally for my playstyle don't like disenchanting things for standard, because i play so less i will never get a playable deck there or at least not for more than 3 month..

Honestly this move is excellent. Classic seems like a flash in the pan. I doubt I'll spend much, if any time in it, but having a new, free core set that will alter with every rotation? Excellent way to keep the game fresh. I just hope they use it properly to give each class a proper baseline to play with.

So, after watching the video - if I intend to play only Standard Ranked: All Class cards from the sets currently Standard and all Core cards together combine to be the sum of all cards allowed for Standard ranked play. Core cards are uncraftable, which means they can't be enchanted or disenchanted, and all Core cards are curated and made accessible to all players for free by Blizzard. Accruing and keeping cards from the current Standard sets while disenchanting all others won't hurt me if I only play Standard Ranked. And, I can't make the mistake of disenchanting Core cards, because Blizzard has made that impossible.

Of course not, play wild you fools! Otherwise you are stuck in an unending cycle and keep saying that the game is expensive. The game is 1000% free to play if you just play wild...

Wild also has some of the most broken cards and annoying deck styles that don't seem to go away like raza priest or rez priest. I don't think I'll be truly happy with this game until I can ban a specific class because I'm so sick of seeing them.
@@remyllebeau77 Standard is almost like that most of the times though (look at Barnes paladin at the moment with overall win rates of over 65% and malign win rates with Alura over 90% ,not even wild is that broken...) with the key difference that wild is indeed very diverse because of the enormous card pool. @@RealityRogue you can still use a few new cards in wild, but I can see how that could not be enough for people who play a lot. For me it's perfect now. I am not interested in playing so much that I get bored because I also want to play a bit of battegrounds, a bit of duels, and various other games... SO hearthstone constructed wild is perfect for me. I have a good basis as f2p player for 5 years, every expansion I get 5000-8000 gold for free, enough to get a nice amount of cards and the game stays fresh for my level of play. I have more than a dozen decent wild decks now and can make many others, sometimes with a substitude or 2. I play just enough games to get to the rank before legend, which also gives a little bit of free stuff.

I've just come back from a 2 - 3 year absence and I have no idea what's going on, I just play wild because I'll never keep up with all the new cards, seasons, etc I used to but the adventures as I thought they were enjoyable for a small price but I'm not sinking money into buying random packs as it's a never ending money sink. I'll just keep casualling in wild format just for fun as standard us just for tryhards spunking money to get the latest "meta"...

I will dust one copy of every basic/classic card that is rotating besides legendaries. Why? Because 1, if i ever want to play duels (which is rare), i will still have those cards to choose from. And 2, if i ever want to go into wild (which is unlikely), i would only need to re-craft one of a specific card. The only cards that i will dust both copies of are the extremely useless cards, that goes for legendaries as well.
I guess what im saying is, is that im going half-ass until i know exactly what i want to do.

What about hall of fame cards?
I hope they make it so that Core Set is also included in Duels for free, so new players can always jump into Duels, while not feeling like they're absolutely going to get stomped by literally everything and everyone.
And also I hope for that because, while I'm not a fan of Duels, and don't play it, I do play it when my Missions require me to play it (and win), so adding Core Set to it would make those missions less of a hassle to achieve.
Perhaps Duels will not contain a Core set, only a Legacy set. :/

I agree I think it's a confusing mess and it punishes long term players..unless the 'new' format makes classic cards worthwhile. Blizzard are desperate to attract new players and get old players back but sometimes the steps they take seem more like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.
I used to play Magic the Gathering and I quit constructed play because it was an infinite look of chasing combo decks. I played exclusively constructed format..except for the local gaming club. You could turn up there with a larger decks and only one of each card. This made for some great games. You had to use the cards you drew to the best of your ability. By limiting the number of rare/legendary cards you also limited the advantage of players with access to all the cards.
As these guys point out...nothing in these changes makes playing Standard or Wild or whatever they want to call them any easier for new players. Hell if I was a new player what options do I have....1) play classic ..nope I need to actually own these cards 2) Standard..nope at its peak there are 6 sets and 6 mini sets in play..which really is comical and 3) Wild or is it Open...I don't know about beginners but it's so broken I'm not prepared to play it. I know this analysis is not perfect but of all the people I got into Hearthstone with I'm the only one left and I don't see any of them rejoining based on the smoke and mirrors Blizzard are performing here....and they have just totally made my Classic collection close to worthless..which I'm not very happy about.

Yeah im only disenchanting crap wild cards that was never used anyway. Always a good idea to keep the better ones... Well after starting a run of duels i realized i had disenchanted a card i needed for it and decided to recraft it. But thats ok since you can only have one of each card in duels anyway.

Seguro mañana cuando salga tendre que estar feliz como los demas pero soy viejo no me gustan los cambios mas cuando tocan mis cimientos. Espero que Blizzard encuentre otra manera para revitalizar los metas y que al final de cada año nos podamos quedar con las copias de esas cartas para ir llenando de apoco una collecion de Wild de manera FreeToPlay. Yo también gasté mucho en classic cuando empeze a jugar en Ungoro. Pero hay que ver lo bueno, podemos usarlas en classic. Es mejor no tirarlas y jugar ese modo.

What I don't get about the new mode: If...
a) There will be no exp reward, nobody will play it
b) there is some actually good reward, everybody will play this mode and since no nerfs can be added, everybody will play the best performing deck. There will be no evolvement of a new meta and therefore players will get bored incredibly fast.

What should I do with my unopened classic packs?
If you miss Hall of Fame cards wait to open them after the changes go active. If you miss new Classic set cards open them now before they get removed. If you are not in these 2 categories open them now because you do not benefit in any way by waiting. Enjoy

Blizzards suddenly changed the basic rule of the game: classic cards never rotate. How its even possible now to say what and how we should do with our cards while blizzards could break all the system again so easily??? We have no information about their plans and they we'll certainly make fools out of us again in a while...
But the game will be fresh and even more f2p friendly for new players with core set rotating and given for free each year
@@RickyMuzakki I dont think the game is gonna be cheaper. The core set mostly is the same trash as old basic cards. Most of them wont see any play. I like idea of core set actually, but I hate the way blizzards implement it. Players used to craft classic cards (even in gold) only because it was a stable investment. And now all this cards are thrown away from standard. We lost our dust. Blizzards could have intoduced the core set and gave dust for rotated classic cards. That could be both great for players and good for game. But instead we got tempory core set cards and lose tons of dust. Thats not a fair deal. So many players feel that they have been cheated.

Nope it's basically kind of the new wild set as a whole called
Legacy will be a "new" set of cards that i believe will replace classic packs and it will contain cards from the classic set, the basic set and hall of famed cards. The game format that will be added is "classic format", in which you'll be able to play vanilla hearthstone, with 0 patch and 0 expansion, with unnerfed classic cards (4 mana leeroy, etc.). I agree they could have made it clearer

I'm a day 1 player and I STILL don't have all the cards from the classic set. A testament to how expensive this game is. You either spend $$$, or A LOT of time. Either way, you have to spend. If you just want to be a casual player and enjoy the game every now and then whenever time permits, you're shit out of luck

It's been the hell of a ride . And fun for the most of it . But the day rotation hits i am disenchanting everything , spam craft spam disenchant till 0 dust are left . I draw the line .
1)What they are doing with core/classic/basic/legacy/whatever is a mistake i can't forgive . Yes , classic needed changes .PERMANENTLY promoting 10 cards from wild to classic and PERMANENTLY demoting 10 cards from classic to HOF every expansion , till the classic set becomes viable was the way to go . No core set rotating every year .
2)It's raining new modes and new modes means less attention to Standard/Wild . The only interestind mode could be 2v2 . Yeah 2v2 will happen one day , but sorry not sorry , Battlegrounds , duels , classic are dead on arrival modes that mean less resources for standard/wild . Another mistake i can't forgive
3)Too many cards each expansion . And always the ~60% of them are dead cards . The game doesn't need new 135+35 cards every expansion . Each expansion needs : 2 class common 2 class rare 1 class epic 1 class legandary for 10 classes meaning 60 class cards and 8 neutral common 8 neutral rare 4 neutral epic 4 neutral legendary for a total of 24 neutral cards . Resulting in 84 cards per expansion but ALL PROPERLY playtested so they can be meta material , all having a place to old and new deck archetypes . Of course i also mean NO MORE minisets ...
4)Last but not least the community for normalising all the wrongdoings of Blizz . For accepting and normalizing all their mistakes . For demanding the change of meta every 2 months . When in other card games the players cry from joy when a deck stays meta for 1year+ ,close to 2 years in some cases , with only small deck teching of less than 5-6 cards . For not realising that the game suffers from too much content , just because the 60% of the cards are useless . We need less cards but more meta viable cards
P.S It's so damn funny that the only step in the right direction was the new rewards track (after the changes of course)

I see lorewalker cho on the list, for me who just used him to kick asses in the wild diamond rank ladder for a several times I feel offended.
I have reached Legend a couple of times with a an aggro-ish druid deck containing Nat Pagle, Mukla and Tinkmaster Overspark. They all carried their weight nicely but new cards keep coming that make a better version of the deck without them... :-(
