- The FBI says a natural disaster and the holiday season is a perfect storm for charitable scams in Florida and a nationwide one has arrived to the First Coast.
It's pretty simple ask them what hospital the surgery is at so that you can call and make a payment directly to the hospital
These people are everywhere it's organized they all have the same outfits and same style signs. It's disgusting I'm in Ca and I see them all the time it's here at most major intersections.

This is literally all over the country. At least the homeless panhandlers are honest or just have simple "hungry" sign we know is BS. This is an absolute low
All of Europe is familiar with gypsies and what they do. Now, from the past 4 years of open borders they are all over the country. Americans are too kind and do not yet understand who gypsies are and what they do. They travel all over the country, city to city, state to state. Sometimes they are being bussed around by the Mafia and given a hotel to stay in once their scamming, panhandling, tricking, etc day is over. They also always have their kids with them as they do not believe their children should have to go to school, or work a job, etc. They believe they have divine rights from God to steal and scam. They vastly differ from the beliefs of the Christian Romanian peoples who are not like this.

Simple: simply ask for the name of the attending hospital or funeral service home that is handling the patient/deceased and tell the person asking for help that you'll donate there under that patient's / deceased person's name.
She was collecting money with her 2 son in Florida and I think she got arrested.
I'm not giving squat to no one for no reason. The last time I did that. The guy walked across the street to the drive up window of the liquor store & bought a half pint with my dam money. No more. !!

They travel city to city in every state. Many in Florida have Virginia plates.
Some will have their kids pointing to their mouths that they're hungry like Tijuana kids.
Their signs always say sick family, need help .... Or they just lost their job wearing expensive clothes.
I f'n hate them because I'm homeless and I need the help when I hold a sign. I'm not an addict etc... I'm always honest with everyone.
Folks won't hire a homeless person and it's not like I can do hard labor for day work because I can't.
In other cities and states it is most definitely illegal for a panhandler to state that a donation is needed for need which does not exist.
We could definitely do better with our panhandling laws…or lack there of. I’m not saying make everyone stop, but when there is a nationwide scam, citizens should be able to feel confident that our law enforcement has our back.

These scammers are also in California. They are all over our small community that I live in with the exact same sign and pictures. There’s also another child they use in pictures. These people are really aggressive and absolutely shameless.

It is sickening that anyone would do this. I won’t give money to anyone anymore except places like the Salvation Army you just can’t trust people begging on the corner.
Find a charity that is near and dear to you. Do your research and give directly to that charity.
I only give money to people that have talent busking out in public.

Here in LA ppl do this all the time. No need to ask any questions. Its a 100% scam. 100% of the time. Dont pay the scammers any attention.

Some scammers come around about every 3 or 4 months. Usually here it is for a funeral for a kid that has apparently died
and been resurrected numerous times. Last time they changed it up it was for a devastating illness. They
seem to have a route they rotate around. When I see them yet again I call the police and turn them in.

What's really sad my 15 year old dashhound dogs name is Sophia that's how it's really spelled its just another way to scam hard working honest Americans out of money I have a self funded non-profit organization where I help the homeless people with stuff that people need every day and it's sad because of people like this people don't want to donate to our organization that I have been self funding for years now and the people doing this has enough money to pay for everything they need.
You can either take a chance with people on the street trying to get donations or give to legit charitable organization that unfortunately most have gone under the umbrella of a huge organization that trickles down just a portion if any of what you donated. Most organizations have signed up with the umbrella so they can get advertising and locations for their charity. Either the little scammer wins or the bigger scammer wins.
Just ask where is the Child is at what hospital she is in.
