I've noticed a development of artists beginning to play around with iartbook, however, there are hardly any tutorials or even videos on it. This video is a very simple walkthrough, just laying out some of the basics. I tried answering some prevalent questions, which will hopefully make learning the general setup of this app easier. 🌱 😊 #iartbook #digitalart

Can you use the color dropper?
Ok this one is easy. Go to the homepage where you can view all your canvases. Swipe the unwanted canvas left and a trashcan icon will show up, Then you delete :)

I'm not sure what happened, but the program won't open or export PSD files anymore.
I've done it several times before but now it just open/export psds as a flat image😕

This is a great app, I love their improvements. I am glad u made a video with their updates or about the app at all lol. I think they should be advertised louder by the digital art community, it could definitely be described as a combination of of the best parts of procreate and Art Studio! The fact they are continuing to put out updates definitely makes the pro worth the purchase. I think when I purchased the pro version it was only like 4$ that is a great deal!
Personally I still think procreate is somewhat better, but it may just be personal preference. For a free art app, iartbook really is great

I’ve been using ibis paint for a while now and got annoyed with the lack of features it offers and decided to try this and it’s so much better! It’s also a great alternative to procreate

Hey I am trying for sooo long to merge only two layers. ( the merge all button isn't even showing up for me ) anyone who can help me out?. Qnd also I did an animation qnd saved it as q GiF but it always saves it mirrored the wrong way around. I have tried mirroring it before saving but then it just stays that way.

I am having a problem. When I color in a base, it makes it a color that is darker than the color I’m using. What am I doing wrong?
This sounds unusual. Have you tried closing and re-opening the app?
I’ve been using sketchbook and FlipaClip for my drawing and animation and I saw this in the App Store and I really like it, I’ve just made my first animation and it’s great! I’m not new to animation but I am a novice or almost getting used to animation and my first animation has flashy images and I would keep on replaying ut to make sure it was right so I almost got a seizure but anyways I prefer light mode just makes things more simple but when I’m low on battery I would turn on dark mode to save battery just a tip, also if your using your finger to draw which I do, I would recommend turning the pencil option off in the brush as it has pressure sensitivity so your drawings would look not so smooth also for people who have a not fixed pressure or something anyways the app is great and I would recommend it.

Sadly, iartbook does not save your entire process as a speed paint.

I know! Go to the animation tab, make an animation (go to the bottom layers tab to make the bg disappear), click the three dots, click save and export it as a GIF.

Absolutely! Go out to the main menu where yo u can view all your canvases. Then swipe your file left and press the garbage can button. :)

Do you know how to get rid of the background?
You should be able to find it under layers. If you are trying to make a transparent png, just select that option when adding the finished artwork to your camera roll.

Not that I’m aware of. I art book is a good app, but they don’t have all of the amazing features that procreate has.
@@ArtisticallyME thats really disappointing since that tool is present in almost all drawing/editing apps that ive used, From all of them i found iartbook to be the best fit for me but that tool not being there sucks bcuz i use it a lot and it makes things so simple T-T

I’m switching from FlipaClip to this app so hopefully my animations would look better.
I usually recommend flipaclip for animation. I haven’t used the animation feature on iartbook so I don’t really know how good it is.

I found the solution. Select the element (brush) and slide your finger slightly from right to left, showing the option to delete it. Thank you

great video! i was just wondering though, how do you color in the lines without using bucket tool?
I recommend to do your line art and then add a new layer and color by hand on the different layer, that’s usually what I do when I don’t want to use the bucket tool.

Hey, question: some brushes in the app just don’t work for me? Mostly the pencils. It’s really frustrating and I’ve tried to adjust the pens and everything and it just doesn’t work. Any suggestions as to why?

I don’t know if this happened to anyone else but my entire sidebar of brushes disappeared while I was editing my quick brushes. Does anyone know how to fix this because I can’t find anything to help me and this is the one of the only videos I could find that was in depth.

Ive been using iartbook for few months now… question- I wanna turn my art into digital prints, how do I do that from this app?
I don't think there's a way to do that specifically from the app. However, you can save your artwork and upload it onto another site that sizes and handles digital prints :)
How do I get rid of pen pressure? Like I don’t use a pen and every time I draw a line it’ll go thinner and thicker randomly and I just want it to stay the same size no matter the pressure
You have to enter the brushes settings and you can toggle the pressure that way. :)

How do you use the bucket tool now? It used to fill in-between what lines you drew,
But now it has some weird habit of only filling in the background with the same tone in
Usually that’s because your lines aren’t thick enough for the bucket tool to detect
Hey I want to ask you a question is there a way where we can flip a duplicated layer?
The only way I can see is my selecting transform and dragging one side to the right or left. It will flip the layer, but it might not be super precise.
How do you add new brushes or downloaded brushes and how do you delete brushes.
Brushes have to be available from some source. For example buying a file from Etsy. Currently there aren’t any pre-made, but you can easily create your own within the app

There is a layers section, you should be able to see it in this video. In that section, there is a plus button.
Do you know if you delete the app and then redownload it that it will save your progress? And I added a layer to one of my animations and it keeps kicking me out of my animation so idk what’s happening lol

Only if someone has made a brush set specifically for iartbook. Currently no one has, however I am working on getting some out there on my Etsy. You can also create your own on the iartbook app
