This is the most functional yet beautiful container home I've seen so far. I would have loved to have seen a floor plan to get a better idea of all the levels. Well done on getting through the experience and achieving such a sanctuary.
Shipping container are fine in certain part of the world but It just not best place to look at..... I would recommend cut it up and only used the main structure. otherwise you just waste a lot of money make it look good...
That would be amazing, wouldn't it? Homes are being renovated into whatever you want it to be. No more just settling on something huge, pre built and that it would cost you thousands and thousands of dollars for 30+ years of your life. Tiny homes, van life and container homes are the future!!!

This home is beautiful, would have loved to see more of it. People watching these videos may be drawing inspiration to build their own container homes, so a tour of the home would have been nice, not only for those of us who are just nosey and want to see all the cool features, but for those who are looking for ideas for their build.
Because it costs way more the due to having to prep and adapt the containers. They still have to build interior perimeter walls for insulation and all the other standard stuff a house has. They save a bit on the exterior cladding, but it looks like shit. It's going to be expensive building to code.

I am doing the opposite with my container home. Being in Arizona where it gets up to 122 degrees, you have to stop the heat transfer from the outside. I am cladding and insulating the outside so that they just look modern, then not cladding the interior walls at all, just painting with a porcelain based R-value paint. As for electrical and plumbing, it will all be run through the floor as the house is going on 3’ above ground piers. I own property in Scottsdale, outright, and have two containers already onsite. Alot still to do before setting containers though....LOTS.
So smart and beautiful. I love the idea of repurpose. My uncle owned a container business in California. He sold his business for a lot of money because people started making them into smart homes. I really love this very smart. Thanks for sharing.

You're living in this nice neighborhood with a big open lot near you and one day all of these trucks and a huge crane show up and start stacking six or seven of these huge ugly metal boxes next to your home. And even when the house is complete and the big ugly boxes look nicer, you still have this very industrial looking two story home where there used to be green grass. Maybe that would make you happy but I doubt it made their neighbors happy.

You're living in this nice neighborhood with a big open lot near you and one day all of these trucks and a huge crane show up and start stacking six or seven of these huge ugly metal boxes next to your home. And even when the house is complete and the big ugly boxes look nicer, you still have this very industrial looking two story home where there used to be green grass. Maybe that would make you happy but I doubt it made their neighbors happy.
Boy, so many cynical comments below. Why can't people just be happy for other people. Don't pick this couple apart and say sly, insensitive things about them. You don't know them at all. To me, they seemed like a loving and very proud couple who made a choice to build their dream house - and they did it beautifully....Period. You both look very happy - - - you did a wonderful job on your video. Thank you very much.
Actually there are 53' containers and high cube containers of 9'6" height as well!

Definitely missing out on showing off more spaces in this. We barely saw the loft or any of the upstairs. No footage of what's outside the doorway in the kitchen. Great home, good quality video, but really lacking in variety.
